  • A nano-imprinting stage has been widely used in various fields of nanotechnology. In this study, an analysis method of a nano-imprinting stage machine using FEM and flexible multi-body vibration has been presented. The simulation using CAE for the imprinting machine is to analyze vibration characteristics of 3-axis nano-imprinting stage and 4-axis nano-imprinting stage. Structural components such as the upper plate have been modeled with finite elements to analyze flexibility effects during the precision stage motion. In this paper flexible multi-body dynamic simulation is executed to support robust design of the precision stage mechanism.

동적 광탄성실험에 의한 응력이완 노치부근에서의 접촉특이응력 해석 (2) (Analysis of Contact Singular Stresses with Relief Notch by Using Dynamic Photoelasticity(II))

  • The dynamic photoelastic technique had been utilized to investigate the possibillity of relieving the large local singular stresses induced at the corner of a right- angle- indenter. The indenter compressed a semi-infinite body dynamically with an impact load applied on the top of the indenter. The effects of the geometric changes of the indenter in terms of the diameter (d) and the location (1) of the stress relieving notch on the behavior of the dynamic contact stresses were investigated. The influence of stress relieving notches positioned along the edge of the semi-infinite body on the dynamic contact stresses were also studied by changing the diameter (D) and the location (L) of the notch. A multi-speak-high speed camera with twelve sparks were used to take photographs of full field dynamic isochromatic fringe patterns. The contact singular stresses were found to be released significantly by the stress relief notches both along the indenter and the edge of the semi-infinite body. The optimal position and geometry of the stress relieving notches were obtained with the aid of limited experimental results.

웹기반 회전식 압축기 진동해석 시스템 개발 (Development of a Web-based Vibration Analysis System for a Rotary Compressor)

  • This paper introduces a Web-based vibration analysis system for rotary-type refrigerator compressors. Concern for vibration reduction in compressors has been growing for many years. What is important in vibration reduction is to easily predict the vibration without using a physical compressor. The dynamic model of the compressor is represented as a multi-body dynamic system. Solving the dynamic model is run on a high-performance server. The interfaces of the system are accessible via Web browsers, such as Netscape or Explorer. Anyone who wants to analyze the vibration of the rotary compressor or share the results data can access the system over the Internet regardless of their OS, platform, or location.

  • 복합재료 반사판 안테나의 전개 특성을 해석 모델을 통하여 살펴보고 실험을 통하여 검증하고자 한다. 두 개의 회전 자유도를 가지며 스프링의 탄성 에너지에 의해 작동되는, 전개 메커니즘을 기반으로 반사판 안테나의 동역학적 해석 모델을 수립하였다. 유연 다물체 동역학 해석 프로그램인 ADAMS를 이용하여 패널의 전개 속도, 구조 변형 그리고 충격력을 분석하였다. 중력보상 장치를 이용하여 탄소섬유 강화 플라스틱(CFRP)으로 제작된 안테나 패널의 전개거동 특성을 실험적으로 검증/분석하였다. 안테나 패널이 전개되는 동안 발생하는 충격 응답 및 진동 문제를 확인하고, 댐퍼를 이용하여 안정적으로 전개가 됨을 확인하였다.

  • 운동하는 물체의 동특성 해석을 위한 상태 공간 모델 방식이 컴퓨터에 의한 미분방정식 해석의 수학적인 도구로서 도입되었다. 시스템 표현이 간단한 행렬 연산 형태로 이루어지므로 선형 및 비선형, 시변 및 시불변 시스템과 단변수 및 다변수 시스템 등에 대하여 통일된 방식의 모델이 사용가능하다. 그리고 이러한 상태 공간 모델을 해석하기위해서는 복잡한 벡터 연산을 하여야 하지만 패킷 소프트웨어의 특정함수를 사용하여 쉽게 해석할 수가 있다. 그러나 최근에는 상용 프로그램의 발전에 따라 동특성 해석을 위한 상태 공간 모델을 대화형 도형 처리를 하여 매우 간단하게 동특성을 시뮬레이션 할 수 있는 방법이 제공되고 있다. 본 논문은 운동하는 물체의 동특성 해석을 하는 데 교육용으로 활용할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 개발하는 목적으로 항공기의 세로 동특성 해석을 위한 시뮬레이션을 수행하고자 하였으며 항공기 세로 안정성에 대한 과도응답 특성을 해석하는 시뮬레이터를 설계하였다.

  • Long and slender body with or without flexible supports under severe operating condition can be unstabilized even by the small cross flow. Turbulent flow mixer, which actually increases thermal-hydraulic performance of the nuclear fuel by boosting turbulence, disturbs the flow field around the fuel rod and affects dynamic behavior of the nuclear fuel rods. Few studies on this problem can be found in the literature because these effects depend on the specific natures of the support and the design of the system. This work shows how the dynamics of a multi-span fuel rod can be affected by the turbulent flow, which is discretely activated by a flow mixer. By solving a state-space form of the eigenvalue equation for a multi-span fuel rod system, the critical velocity at which a fuel rod becomes unstable was established. Based on the simulation results, we evaluated how stability of a multi-spanned nuclear fuel rod with mixing vanes can be affected by the coolant flow in an operating reactor core.

OPTIMAL SHAPE DESIGN OF THE FRONT WHEEL LOWER CONTROL ARM CONSIDERING DYNAMIC EFFECTS

  • In this study, we conducted a vibration fatigue analysis of the lower control arm in a vehicle suspension system. The vehicle was driven during the tests so that the dynamic effects could be taken into account. The dynamic load of the frequency domain was superimposed on the frequency response analysis. We performed a virtual proving ground test using multi-body dynamics, along with a finite element analysis and fatigue life predictions. Shape optimization was also considered using the design of the experimental approach, and a response surface analysis was performed to improve the durability performance of the lower control arm. We identified the elements that had the most influence on the optimal shape of the finite element model and analyzed the sensitivity of those elements. Then the optimal points that minimized the amount of damage to the areas of interest were determined through a response surface analysis. The results suggested that the fatigue life of the model increased as its mass was not increased excessively, and demonstrated that these design procedures yielded an appropriate optimized lower control arm model.

좌표계 연성에 의한 동력전달계 포함 차량 운동 시뮬레이션 연구 (The study of a Vehicle Dynamic Simulation Including Powertrain About the Coordinate System Connectivity)

  • Recently, the importance of CAE research is growing with the advances of the automotive and computer industry. In addition, multi-body dynamics and powertrain analysis are the most important factors in improving the vehicle design. Since engine torque with curve-data was used for analyzing full car simulation in the multi-body dynamics system for many years, it is impossible to assess the concurrent analysis of the engine and powertrain element included in a real full car system. In powertrain, since vehicle are usually modeled as a simple mass and a inertia, they can not be seen as real cars. Moreover, it is hard to obtain additional dynamics data other than the longitudinal velocity value in movement. Because of the reason that was previously discussed, it is necessary to consolidate the two parts as one routine program for design and development through the coordinate system connectivity, and presented here is a program named O-DYN. Using an object-oriented language C++, this program has a good structure with the valuable characteristics of objectivity, inheritance, and reusability. The reliability of this multi-body dynamics program is examined by DADS, which is the general dynamics program, using DAE solver and PECE integral function with the common coordinator separation method. As a result, we can obtain a better solution and total dynamics data in either area through this process. This program will be useful for analyzing full car simulation with powertrain.

폭발볼트 및 스프링 레버를 이용한 발사관 분리식 덮개 (The Separating Cover Using an Explosive Bolt and Spring Lever)

  • 본 논문에서는 신규 방식의 발사관 덮개인 분리식 덮개의 설계과정과 해석 및 실험적 검증결과에 대하여 기술하였다. 발사관 덮개에 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 종래의 파열식 및 구동기 방식의 덮개의 단점을 극복하기 위하여 폭발볼트 및 스프링 레버를 이용한 분리식 덮개를 제안하였다. 분리식 덮개는 폭발볼트와 스프링 레버 구동시스템으로 단순하게 구성되어 있다. 첫 번째로, 수학적 모델에 의해 제시된 설계제원에 대하여 다물체 동역학 해석을 통하여 기계적 작동성능에 관한 검토를 실시하였다. 도출된 해석결과는 이후 초고속 카메라로 획득한 계측 결과와 잘 부합하였다. 또한 작동성능에 대한 설계인자별 영향을 파악하기 위한 경향분석이 수행되었다. 본 연구를 통해 구조적 단순성과 가격의 효율성을 보유한 신규방식의 발사관 덮개를 군수분야에 제시하는데 기여했다고 판단되며 특별히 다연장 발사관 시스템(MLRS)에 유용하게 적용될 것이라고 예상된다.

다물체 동역학을 이용한 송전선의 슬릿점프 시뮬레이션 (Sleet Jump Simulation of Power Transmission Line by Using Multi-Body Dynamics)

  • Since the power transmission line(PTL) passes through the high mountain and heavy snowfall region, it is necessary to keep the stability of the PTL. In this study, PTL is modeled as a mass-spring-damper system by using RecurDyn. The lumped mass model is verified by calculated from the simulation comparing the deflection analysis according to the sag and tension. In order to analyze the dynamic behavior of PTL, a damping coefficient for a multi-body model is derived by using the free vibration test and Rayleigh damping theory. Sleet jump simulation according to the region is performed. The maximum jump height, icing sag and amount of jump are confirmed. Also, the amount of jump and the reaction force at the supporting point according to the tension and load of ice are analyzed, respectively. As a result, it is noted that the amount of jump and reaction force are influenced more by the load of ice than by the tension of PTL.
