MR 유체를 적용한 Multi-Plate Clutch의 최적설계 (Optimal Design of Multi-Plate Clutch Featuring MR Fluid)

  • 오늘날 자동차 산업의 기술 발전으로 4륜구동 기술이 승용차에도 적용되고 있으며, 이를 위해 트랜스퍼 케이스용 건식 다판클러치가 사용되고 있다. 하지만 건식 클러치의 경우 진동에 대한 문제가 발생하여 승차감에 영향을 주게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 4륜 구동장치의 핵심부품인 트랜스퍼케이스에 있는 다판클러치의 체결시 발생하는 충격을 저감시키고자 MR유체가 적용된 다판클러치를 제안한다. MR 다판클러치는 유체커플링 모드와 압착모드를 가지게 되며, 최적 설계를 위해 토크모델을 유도하였다. 다판클러치의 설계변수를 최적화를 위해 Ansys Maxwell을 이용하여 해석을 수행하였고, 전자기장 해석은 디스크와 플레이트의 수를 변경하였을 때 자기장의 세기를 확인하였으며, 자기장의 세기는 최대 0.45 Tesla가 도출되었다. 이를 토크방정식에 적용하여 플레이트 사이 간격을 2mm로 플레이트의 내경과 외경을 각각 45mm와 55mm로 선정하였다. 이와 같이 본 논문에서는 MR 다판클러치의 성능을 극대화할 수 있는 최적 설계기법을 제안하였다.

무단변속기 장착차량의 발진성능 해석을 위한 시뮬레이션 프로그램의 개발 (A Development of the Simulation Program for Launching Performance of a Passenger Car equipped Continuously Variable Transmission)

  • This paper describes the launching characteristics of a passenger car using a Push-Belt type Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT) which equipped a wet type multi-plate clutch asa starting device and a solid flywheel with a torsional damper for a torsional coupling device. To reduce the torsional vibration of the drive-line , some torsional coupling devices were used for the passenger car equipped CVT having the clutch as a starting device especially . In this study, we developed the computer simulation program to investigate the launching characteristics of a passenger car equipped CVT using the mathematical models of this system. For the mathematical models of the vehicle, the CVT, the we type multi-plate clutch and the torsional damper, we obtained the specification and the necessary data through the reverse engineering of those. For the verification of our analysis, we performed the test of prototype car with different throttle positions at road and dynamometer. The launching characteristics of a passenger car considered here an acceleration performance and an ascending performance.

  • The locking performance of a multi-plate clutch with a mechanical lock-up system is governed by the engagement algorithm. In this paper, a control algorithm to improve the locking performance of the clutch was studied. A 1D dynamic model was constructed and simulated according to the developed algorithm. The developed algorithm was composed of a method in which the locking device is engaged while generating artificial slip on the friction plate by controlling the piston pressure of the clutch. Furthermore, a case study of the parameters within the developed algorithm was conducted to explore combinations that maximize locking performance and analyze trends according to these parameters.

다판 클러치방식 차동제한장치 개발을 위한 설계인자 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Design Parameters for Development of LSD)

  • A differential case equipped with LSD(limited slip differential) has several advantages over a normal type for rear wheel drive vehicles. Specially, the torque distribution can be done between left and right drive wheel in the state of limited slip differential. Also although LSD types are very various according to operating type, medium and torque distribution, a multi-clutch type is generally applied to rear wheel drive vehicles. So, this study presents the analysis of design parameters for development of a friction plate for multi-clutch type LSD using vehicle road test, the simulation of analytical model and the development of vehicle dynamics model by a benchmark product. According to this investigation, the design parameters which are pre-load of coil spring, friction plate and contact area quantity, friction coefficient and TBR(torque bias ratio) for a friction plate are derived from experiment and simulation and consequently, vehicle dynamics model has been constructed for the development of friction plate for multi-clutch type LSD.

소형선박 유압클러치 장치의 해양사고 예방 교육 만족도에 관한 조사 (Satisfaction Survey of Training to Prevent Marine Accidents on Hydraulic Clutch in Small Ships)

  • Currently, majority small ship's clutch for power transmission to propeller relies on multi plate hydraulic clutch regardless its size. Most of the small ships do not have a spare equipments of clutch. Furthermore, many ship engineers do not have an ability as well as enough experience to solve this problem related to the hydraulic clutch during the voyage. Therefore, any small problems cause many serious marine accidents. Once the clutch has problem, almost of all ships can not sail by itself anymore and it must be towed by salvage boat, maritime police ships, or fish guidance boat etc. In this case, all the accidents will be categorized as a marine accident and they all need to go through marine accident court inquiries. In this study, an understanding of each crew on hydraulic clutch system has been profoundly measured. Furthermore, the knowledge on an emergency navigation protocol of each crew has been also profoundly checked. Additionally, various surveys on hydraulic clutch classes has been performed and its satisfaction of crews on this topic have been carefully checked based on various feedback from students who took these courses. All of the above data from this study will be used to reduce marine accidents in current marine industry.

선박 추진용 유압작동식 다판 마찰클러치 고착현상 고장탐구 (Root cause analysis of sticking in hydraulically actuated multi-disc friction clutch for ship propulsion)

  • 본 연구는 고무 탄성커플링을 적용한 특수선의 디젤엔진 추진체계에서 유압작동식 다판, 습식 마찰클러치의 고착에 대한 원인분석 내용이다. 클러치 고착원인 분석을 위해 피쉬본((fish bone) 방법으로 클러치 및 감속기어 분해조사, 선박 탑재상태에서의 체계 시험 및 부품 조사, 비파괴 시험 등을 통해 수행하였다. 마찰판 고착은 클러치 중공축의 크랙부를 통해 제어오일 누설로 인한 슬립, 마찰열 발생에 의해 발생되었다. 마찰판 냉각 오일 또한 크랙부를 통해 동시에 누설에 기인한 유량부족으로 클러치 마찰판은 국부적인 눌러붙임이 발생하는 핫스팟(hot spot)에 의해 고착되었다.

  • In this paper, the modeling and analysis of dynamic characteristics has been carried out for friction clutches and brakes in an automatic transmission. From the operating oil pressure generated by the valve-body, time delay by check valve and the movement of piston has been examined. Also torque capacity and torque transferred at the clutch is studied. Heat capacity and temperature distribution at the reaction plate of clutch are codeled by time-dependent, nonhomogeneous partial differential equation, and brake torque, brake time, and the amount of heat generated are investigated. It is found that the time delay at the check valve is very short but dominant at the spool.

  • In this paper, the analysis of the shift transient characteristics for the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission has been carried out using dynamic models of the automatic trnasmission. It is necessary to understand the overall system including multi-plate clutch, band brake, one way clutch, and planetary gears. The equations of motion are derived from the dynamic models of the automatic transmission. The GUI computer simulation program has been developed to analyze the shift transient characteristics of the vehicle equipped with the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission.

기계적 잠금장치의 적용여부에 따른 덕티드팬 클러치의 최적설계 및 분석 (Optimal Design and Analysis of Ducted Fan Clutch With or Without Mechanical Lock-up)

  • 덕티드팬의 동력절환장치인 클러치의 마찰판 사양을 최적설계하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 클러치는 기계적 잠금장치의 적용 여부에 따라 2가지 방식으로 구분하고 각자의 설계 조건 하에 최적화 되었다. 클러치를 최적 설계하기 위한 인자로 전달토크 용량, 마찰재 면압, 마찰면의 온도 및 드래그 토크 등을 계산하였고, 클러치 분리판의 부피와 드래그 토크의 최소화를 최적설계의 목적함수로 활용하였다. 기계적 잠금장치가 포함되지 않은 Type 1의 경우 덕티드팬의 피치각에 상관없이 클러치의 작동이 가능하지만, 기계적 잠금장치가 포함된 Type 2에 비해 마찰면의 외경이 약 2배정도 증가하였고, 부피는 약 5~7배, 드래그 토크는 약 7~12배 정도 증가하였다.
