Intelligent Washing Machine: A Bioinspired and Multi-objective Approach

  • In this paper, an intelligent method called BELBIC (Brain Emotional Learning Based Intelligent Controller) is used to control of Locally Linear Neuro-Fuzzy Model (LOLIMOT) of Washing Machine. The Locally Linear Neuro-Fuzzy Model of Washing Machine is obtained based on previously extracted data. One of the important issues in using BELBIC is its parameters setting. On the other hand, the controller design for Washing Machine is a multi objective problem. Indeed, the two objectives, energy consumption and effectiveness of washing process, are main issues in this problem, and these two objectives are in contrast. Due to these challenges, a Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm is used for tuning the BELBIC parameters. The algorithm provides a set of non-dominated set points rather than a single point, so the designer has the advantage of selecting the desired set point. With considering the proper parameters after using additional assumptions, the simulation results show that this controller with optimal parameters has very good performance and considerable saving in energy consumption.

  • In this paper, a multiple sliding surface (MSS) controller for a twin rotor multi-input-multioutput system (TRMS) with mismatched model uncertainties is proposed. The nonlinear terms in the model are regarded as model uncertainties, which do not satisfy the standard matching condition, and an MSS control technique is adopted to overcome them. In order to control the position of the TRMS, the system dynamics are pseudo-decomposed into horizontal and vertical subsystems, and two MSSs are separately designed for each subsystem. The stability of the TRMS with the proposed controller is guaranteed by the Lyapunov stability theory. Some simulation results are given to verify the proposed scheme, and the real time performances of the TRMS with the MSS controller show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 퍼지와 신경회로망을 혼합한 FNN(Fuzzy Neural Network) 제어기를 이용한 유도전동기의 최대 토크 제어를 제시한다. 먼저 유도전동기 드라이브의 고성능 제어를 위하여 FNN 제어기를 설계한다. 다음은 유도전동기의 최대토크 제어를 위하여 주어진 부하토크에서 고정자 전류를 최소화하여 단위 전류당 발생토크를 높인다. 본 논문에서 제시한 FNN을 이용한 최대토크 제어의 특성을 분석하고 그 결과를 제시한다.

  • The 7-phase BLDC motor is possible for higher efficiency per the unit area, high power and high speed due to the increasing number of phase. Also, it can be looking forward to reduce the current ripple at a point of commutation by the increasing number of phase. Thus, a study for applications of servo system, medical and military instruments is progressing about the BLDC motor is manufactured with multi-phase, currently. This paper is used the fuzzy logic control method for speed control of 7-phase BLDC motor and this is compared with the conventional PI controller using by simulation and experimental results for verification validity of the fuzzy logic controller in this system. The 7-phase BLDC motor and controller are modeled by PSIM6.0 software of PowerSim co. in simulation and we are experimented by the test board that is composed with TMS320VC33-150 DSP controller of Texas Instruments co. and FLEX EPF6016TC144-3 of ALTERA co.

다목적 유전자알고리즘을 이용한 스마트 TMD의 퍼지제어 (Fuzzy Control of Smart TMD using Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm)

  • 본 연구에서는 스마트 TMD를 효과적으로 제어할 수 있는 퍼지제어알고리즘을 개발하기 위하여 다목적 유전자알고리즘을 이용한 최적화기법을 제안하였다. 예제구조물로는 풍하중을 받는 76층 벤치마크건물을 선택하였다. 스마트 TMD를 구성하기 위하여 100kN 용량의 MR 감쇠기를 사용하였고, 스마트 TMD의 진동주기는 예제구조물의 1차모드 고유진동주기에 맞추어 조율되었다. MR 감쇠기의 감쇠력은 예제구조물의 풍응답을 최소화할 수 있도록 퍼지제어기를 통해서 조절된다. 퍼지제어기의 입력변수는 75층의 가속도 응답과 스마트 TMD의 변위응답으로 하였고, 출력변수는 MR 감쇠기로 전달되는 명령전압으로 하였다. 퍼지제어기의 최적화를 위하여 다목적 유전자알고리즘인 NSGA-II 기법이 사용되었고, 이때 75층의 가속도 응답과 스마트 TMD의 변위응답을 목적함수로 사용하였다. 최적화 결과, 구조물의 풍응답과 STMD의 변위응답을 동시에 적절히 제어할 수 있는 다수의 퍼지제어기를 얻을 수 있었다. 수치해석을 통해서 스마트 TMD의 성능이 수동 TMD에 비하여 월등히 뛰어남을 알 수 있었고 경우에 따라서는 샘플 능동 TMD보다 더 우수한 제어성능을 발휘하였다.

  • This paper presents the evaluation of PID and fuzzy control logic for the lateral position control of a moving web in roll-to-roll (R2R) printed electronics. In addition, we report the implementation of computer simulation software that enables us to develop the control logic in a graphic user interface and to test the controller performance in 3D dynamic environment. A mathematical model of the web dynamics is described first to explain the lateral motion of a moving web. Based on the model, PID and fuzzy controllers are designed, and embedded in the simulation software. Under the simulation conditions for fabricating RFID antenna by R2R printing, the results indicate that the fuzzy controller shows a better performance and can be more suitable for R2R multi-layer printed electronics.

  • The paper proposed the intelligent inference method which keeps MV(Mobile vehicle) a little way off from men and makes it follow them using fuzzy controller Recognizing positions of MV and Men and distance between them was used to infer movement angle and speed of the MV with multi-ultrasonic sensor and USB camera The very important thing Is that the MV needs to obtain surrounding Information from the sensor and the camera, then It needs to represent those circumstances MV was controlled by inference from the speed and angle which are obtained from sensor and camera. Traveling simulation with a real MV was performed repeatedly to verify the usefulness of the fuzzy logic algorithm which was proposed in this paper. And a successful result of the experiment demonstrated the excellence of the fuzzy logic controller.

  • In this paper, we present a decentralized robust adaptive fuzzy controller for the transient stability and voltage regulation of a multimachine power system under a sudden fault. Power systems have uncertain dynamics due to various effects such as lightning, severe storms and equipment failure in addition to interconnections between generators. Hence a robust controller to deal with these uncertainties is needed. Simulation results show that satisfactory performance is achieved by the proposed controller.

  • This paper present stabilization control of fixed speed wind generator by using variable speed permanent magnet wind generator in a wind farm connected with multi-machine power system. A novel direct-current based d-q vector control technique of back to back converter integrated with Fuzzy Logic Controller for optimal control configuration is proposed, in which both active and reactive powers delivered to a power grid system are controlled effectively. Simulation analyses have been performed using PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that the proposed control scheme is very effective to enhance the voltage stability of the wind farm during fault condition.

  • 에어컨 시스템은 압축기(Compressor), 응축기(Condenser), 증발기(Evaporator)와 확장밸브(Expansion Valve)로 구성되며, 에어컨 시스템에서 과열도와 저압(증발기의 압력)은 시스템의 효율 증대 및 성능 개선과 안정성에 대하여 결정적인 영향을 미친다. 따라서, 과열도와 저압을 조절하기 위해, 각각의 압축기내의 인버터 주파수와 확장밸브의 개도 제어가 중요하며 선형과 비선형 시스템 모두에 대하여 견실한 성능을 나타내고, 외란에 대하여 강인한 성능을 보이는 퍼지 제어기를 설계한다. 본 논문에서는 과열도와 저압을 제어하기 위하여, 3대의 확장밸브와 1대의 압축기를 가진 에어컨 시스템에 대하여 다중 퍼지 제어기를 설계한다. 또한, 각 제어 플랜트에 대하여 최적의 퍼지 제어기를 설계하기 위하여 3가지 최적화 알고리즘을 사용한다. 즉, 직렬 유전자 알고리즘(Serial Genetic Algorithm; SGA)과 병렬 유전자 알고리즘인 계층적 공정 경쟁 유전자 알고리즘(Hierarchical Fair Competition Genetic Algorithm; HFCGA), 그리고 Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)을 사용하여 다중 퍼지 제어기를 최적화하고 시뮬레이션의 결과를 비교한다.
