Containment Control for Second-order Multi-agent Systems with Input Saturations (입력 포화를 고려한 2차 다중 에이전트 시스템을 위한 봉쇄제어)

  • In this paper, we study the containment control problem for second-order multi-agent systems, which consists of multiple leaders and followers. The goal is to drive the followers toward the convex hull spanned by the leaders. Thus, the swarm behavior can be obtained by controlling the entire group by the leaders. This paper considers the leaders move at a constant speed and the followers have input saturations. Moreover, we assume that the followers can exchange information with neighbors, and only relative state information is available. Under these assumptions, we propose the Proportional-Integral based distributed control algorithm to solve the containment control problem with moving leaders. Moreover, based on Lasalle's invariance principle, the conditions for the control gains that guarantee the convergence of the followers to the convex hull spanned by the leaders are investigated, and it was shown that it can be designed only using the system parameter. Finally, the simulations are conducted to validate the theoretical result.

  • e-learning and m-learning have some problems that data transmission frequently discontinuously, communication cost increases, the computation speed of mass data drops, battery limitation in the mobile learning environments. In this paper, we propose the PULIMS for u-learning systems. The proposed system intellectualize the education environment using intelligent mobile agent, supports the customized education service, and helps that learners feasible access to the education information through mobile phone. We can see the fact that the efficience of proposed method is outperformed that of the conventional methods. The PULIMS is new technology that can be used to learn whenever and wherever learners want in Ubiquitous education environment.

  • In a dynamic environment autonomous robots often encounter unexpected situations that the robots have to deal with in order to continue proceeding their mission. We propose an adaptive goal-based model that allows cyber-physical systems (CPS) to update their environmental model and helps them analyze for attainment of their goals from current state using the updated environmental model and its capabilities. Information exchange approach utilizes Human-Agent-Robot-Machine-Sensor (HARMS) model to exchange messages between CPS. Model validation method uses NuSMV, which is one of Model Checking tools, to check whether the system can continue its mission toward the goal in the given environment. We explain a practical set up of the model in a situation in which homogeneous robots that has the same capability work in the same environment.

  • We develop the Multi-Mobile-agents system for realizing effective cooperative task processing in the network environment. In this system, agents are separated / fused by the Place and migrated to another computer. A Place can assign agents to other places by agents migration to be flat the time to execute agents’ action. In this paper, the effectiveness of this system is shown by experimental results applying an agent given simple task.

  • This paper describes an e-Engineering framework to support collaborative design of automotive suspension systems developed at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials). The e-Engineering framework is proposed and developed on the base of the multi-layered software agents including engineering task agent which is generated from the domain knowledge of experts. The developed framework is aim to widely spread application to the small and medium enterprises by adopting open source technologies such as JADE (Java Agent Development Framework) and by using the independent characteristics related with applicant H/W and 81W system. This framework can provide an integrated design environment to support distributed personnel, design activities and engineering resources during product development process. For the validation of the system's applicability and efficiency, the several practical design processes for automotive suspension systems of RR/FR lower arms and RR cross member are applied and discussed.

  • Recently, some of people are keep in research and development of the further more efficient and convenient auction systems using intelligent software agents in electronic commerce. The purpose of this thesis is that a simple auction system has web bulletin boards, is aided by intelligent agent, and generates pertinent auction duration time and starting price for auction goods of auctioneer into a auction system, then the auctioneer gets the highest margin. The seller who want to sell goods, is using internet sends mail that has information for goods to agent of internet auction system. The agent undertake filtering process for already learned information about similar goods. And it calculate duration time and start price from stored bidding history database. In this thesis we propose a mailing agent system pushing information in internet auction that enables to aid decision for auctioneer about the starting time and price which delivers the highest margin.

  • Existing distributed systems have higher probability of failures occurrence than stand-alone system, so many fault tolerant techniques have been developed. Because of insufficient storage resulting from the increased fault tolerance information stored, the performance of system has been degraded. To avoid performance degradation, it needs delete useless fault tolerance information. In this paper, we propose a garbage collection algorithm for fault tolerance information. And we define and design the garbage collection agent for garbage collection of fault tolerance information, the information agent for management of fault tolerant data, and the facilitator agent for communication between agents. Also, we propose the garbage collection algorithm using the garbage collection agent. For rollback recovery, we use independent checkpointing protocol and sender based pessimistic message logging protocol. In our proposed garbage collection algorithm, the garbage collection, information, and facilitator agent is created with process, and the information agent constructs domain knowledge with its checkpoints and non-determistic events. And the garbage collection agent decides garbage collection time, and it deletes useless fault tolerance information in cooperation with the information and facilitator agent. For propriety of proposed garbage collection technique using agents, we compare domain knowledge of system that performs garbage collection after rollback recovery and domain knowledge of system that doesn't perform garbage collection.

  • Three different improvements of the Velocity-based model were proposed in a minimal velocity-based pedestrian model. The improvements of the models are based on the different agent forms. The different representations of the agent lead to different results, in this paper, we simulated the pedestrian movements in some typical scenes by using different agent forms, and the agent forms included the circles with different radiuses, the ellipse and the multi-circle stand for one pedestrian. We have proposed a novel model of pedestrian dynamics to optimize the simulation. Our model specifies the pedestrian behavior using a dynamic ellipse, which is parameterized by their velocity and can improve the simulaton accuracy. We found a representation of the pedestrian much closer to the reality. The phenomena of the self-organization can be observable in the improved models.

  • Workflow Management Systems(WFMSs) is a software system that supports that specification and execution of business processes. In this paper, we proposed Multi Agent Based Workflow Modeling System which was implemented by Java application. The proposed workflow modeling system is divided into four agents; Session, Organization, Relevant Data. Invoked Application. We adapted ICN(Information Control Net) to check workflow model syntax, And the proposed modeling system provide the function to import/export WPDL which was defined in WfMC.
