  • This paper presents the control design of a three-module boost converter with a two-stage output filter. An advanced three-loop control scheme is employed to the control design in order to obtain good dynamic performance of the converter at the presence of the secondary filter stage. The paper presents the control design, dynamic analysis and performance improvement with the three-loop control.

  • In this paper, multi-string power balancing system for streetlight was developed. Accordingly, the components of the system was developed, unit converters, MPPT control unit, a bank of Li-ion battery and controls the charging and discharging. Loss by improving the efficiency of the system through the parallel operation of the unit converter output will be reduced. And by improving the efficiency of the system through the unit converter parallel operation, output losses will be reduced. Charging and discharging efficiency of the device used in a typical solar streetlight is calculated based on the maximum power input. Because of the variation of the input power has a weakness. In this paper, flexible to changes in the input, and a system was developed to minimize the cost per watt. Measure the performance of the unit module from the system, the result was more than 91%. And the charging capacity 12 V/105 Ah, module power 180 W, respectively. Should expect to be able to improve performance through continuous monitoring in the future.

  • With the recent progress in flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) in industry, increasing attention has been given to Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems. An AGV is a self-powered unit for transporting materials between stations without needing to be controlled by an operator. Such a system has several sensors to recognize the external state, and it is designed to travel between stations automatically without external assistance. To manage each device automatically in real time it requires a distributed controller with a main computer as the host, as well as a number of micro-controllers. In this study, an AGV system with dual motor drive was constructed. A Pentium 4 personal computer was set up as the main host for the distributed control, and this communicated with other micro-controllers in the management of the motor. The speed of each motor was also controlled by a micro-controller.

  • This article come to study the visualization representation technique of eye brain of person, basing on the ground of the dynamic graphics which is able to change the real time, manipulating the image as graphic factors of the multi-data. And the important thought in such realization is as follows ; corresponding the character points of human face and the parameter control value which obtains basing on the existing image recognition algorithm to the multi-dimensional data, synthesizing the image, it is to create the virtual image from the emotional expression according to the changing contraction expression. The proposed DyFIG system is realized that it as the completing module and we suggest the module of human face graphics which is able to express the emotional expression by manipulating and experimenting, resulting in realizing the emotional data expression description and technology.

  • A high speed data link capability is one of the critical factors in determining the performance of the spaceborne SAR system with high resolution. It is due to the strict requirement for the real-time data transmission from a series of massive raw image data of spaceborne SAR to the ground station in a limited time of mission. In this paper, based on the data link model characterized by the spaceborne small SAR system, the high rate multi-channel data link module is designed including link storage, link processor, transmitter, and wide-angle antenna. The design results are presented with the performance analysis on the data link budget as well as the multi-mode data rate in association with the SAR imaging mode of operation from high resolution to the wide swath.

  • In this paper, a communication module is proposed to be applied to communication between over current relay (OCR) agents in multi agent protection system. A multi agent system can achieve a global goal beyond the ability of each individual agent by working together, in which it is the prerequisite for each agent to be able to exchange or share information or processing status with other agent. The proposed communication module is purposed to enable not only each agent to bring about its own goal, but also the whole protective system to provide much improved coordinated protection. It is applied to a self adaptive protection system for a distribution network using multi agent concept to show its effectiveness.

  • The low electric power and high efficiency chips are required because of the appearance of smart phones. Also, high-capacity memory chips are needed. e-MMC(embedded Multi-Media Card) for this is defined by JEDEC(Joint Electron Device Engineering Council). The e-MMC memory for research and development is a memory mulit-chip module of 64GB using 16-multilayers of 4GB NAND-flash memory. And it has simplified the chip by using SIP technique. But mulit-chip module generates high heat by higher integration. According to the result of study, whenever semiconductor chip is about 10 $^{\circ}C$ higher than the design temperature it makes the life of the chip shorten more than 50%. Therefore, it is required that we solve the problem of heating value and make the efficiency of e-MMC improved. In this study, geometry of 16-multilayered structure is compared the temperature distribution of four different geometries along the numerical analysis. As a result, it is con finned that a multilayer structure of stair type is more efficient than a multilayer structure of vertical type because a multi-layer structure of stair type is about 9 $^{\circ}C$ lower than a multilayer structure of vertical type.

  • Multi-Agent Robotic System (MARS) is a system that independent autonomous robots in the restricted environments infer their status from pre-assigned conditions and operate their jobs through the cooperation with each other. In the MARS, a robot contains sensor part to percept the situation around themselves, communication part to exchange information, and actuator part to do given work. Especially, in order to cooperate with other robots, communicating with other robots is one of the essential elements. Because Bluetooth has many advantages such as low power consumption, small size module package, and various standard protocols, Bluetooth is rated as one of the efficient communicating technologies which can apply to small-sized robot system. In this paper, we will develop Bluetooth communicating system for autonomous robots. For the purpose, the communication system must have several features-separated module, flexible interface. We will discuss how to construct and what kind of procedure to develop the communicating system.

Development of an Automated Progressive Design System for Manufacturing Product with Multi Processes, Piercing, Bending, and Deep Drawing (복합공정(피어싱, 벤딩, 디프드로잉)을 갖는 제품 제조를 위한 프로그레시브 설계 자동화 시스템 개발)

  • This paper describes a research work of developing an automated progressive design system for manufacturing the product with multi processes such as piercing, bending, and deep drawing. An approach to the system for progressive working is based on the knowledge-based rules. Knowledge for the system is formulated from plasticity theories, experimental results and the empirical knowledge of field experts. The system consists of three main modules, which are shape treatment, strip layout, and die layout modules. Based on knowledge-based rules, the system is designed considering several factors, such as material and thickness of a product, piercing, bending and deep drawing sequence, and the complexities of the blank geometry and punch profiles. It generates the strip layout drawing for an automobile product. Die design for each process is carried out through the die layout module from the results of the strip layout module. Results obtained using the modules enable the designers for manufacturing products with multi processes to be more efficient in this field.
