In this paper, the author presents the MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) receiver algorithm with the capability of inter-cell or inter-sector interference cancellation over multi-antenna OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) systems. As contrast with the previous research dealing with the filtering scheme at the time domain, the proposed algorithm is presented as the pre-filtering scheme which can be applicable to the frequency domain. Note that the proposed one can be implemented only by pilot symbols which are used in the channel estimation. In addition, it is analytically confirmed that the proposed scheme can be applied for either MIMO( C-SM(Collaborative-Spatial Multiplexing)) interference or SIMO(Single-Input Multi-Out) interference. The proposed receiver algorithm is verified by simulations over UL-PUSC SR off in IEEE 802.16e standard. From simulation results, it is confirmed that the proposed one can be applicable regardless of the kind of interference. Furthermore, it is verified that the performance is guaranteed even under Ole severe effect of interference and the improvement of system throughput is guaranteed.

The performance of a multi-carrier CDMA system is analyzed considering frequency selective multipath fading and Near/Far effects. The number of multicarrier, multiuser, and arms of RAKE receiver, and the decay ratio of frequency selective multipath fading are used as a parameter for the performance analysis. More over, the distribution and the strength of multiuser interference are also considered. To evaluated the Near/Far effects in a multi-carrier CDMA system, three distribution models are assumed. In the first model. interference to carrier Ratio, I/C, ranges form -4 dB to 4dB, and at each 2 dB interval 20 % of multiuser is assumed to be uniformly distributed. In the second one, I/C ranges from -2 dB to 2 dB, and 33.3% of multiuser is assumed to be equally dispersed at each 2dB interval. The third model is 0 dB of I/C, that is, with perfect power control, multiuser are assumed to be evenly located. In this paper, multi-carrier CDMA system adoption RAKE receiver is proposed to mitigate the frequency selective multipath fading. Form the results, the third model(i.e. perfect power control)shows the best performance, and the narrower range of I/C causes the less effects to the desired signal, which reads to the better performance.
The increasing computational capability of processors is driving the need for high bandwidth links to communicate and store the information that is processed. Such links are often an important part of multi processor interconnection, processor-to-memory interfaces and Serial-network interfaces. This paper describes a 0.11-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS 4 Gbp s/pin 3-Level transceiver using RSL/(Rambus Signaling Logic) for high bandwidth. This system which uses a high-gain windowed integrating receiver with wide common-mode range which was designed in order to improve SNR when operating with the smaller input overdrive of 3-Level. For multi-gigabit/second application, the data rate is limited by Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) caused by low pass effects of channel, process-limited on-chip clock frequency, and serial link distance. In order to detect the transmited 4Gbps/pin with 3-Level data sucessfully ,the receiver is designed using 3-stage sense amplifier. The proposed transceiver employes multi-level signaling (3-Level Pulse Amplitude Modulation) using clock multi phase, double data rate and Prbs patten generator. The transceiver shows data rate of 3.2 ~ 4.0 Gbps/pin with a 1GHz internal clock.

In this paper, we propose the channel sounding scheme which improves the reliability and performance of communication link and mitigate the fading effect of channel in MTMO-OFDM system having correlation between Tx and Rx antennas. And we estimate the channel propagation characteristics of channels between the transmitter and receiver with CS scheme by measuring the channel propagation characteristics using sounding signal. Multi agent system models can be used to analyze the path of the system within any time frame. Further, using this proposed method, we can increase the channel capacity by simple calculation in receiver and transmitter and allocate the optimal power by channel information in transmitter. Also, the increment of channel capacity using the prorposed method is induced as the number of antenna is increased. So, we can anticipate the performance improvement with the presented scheme in more complicated Tx and Rx antenna system.

A new laser-based ultrasonic receiver that is based on multi-channel interferometry is shown to be well suited for robust and sensitive detection of ultrasound in industrial environment. The proposed architecture combines random-quadrature detection with detector arrays and parallel multi-speckle processing. The high sensitivity is reached, thanks to the random phase distribution of laser speckle caused by surface roughness. High-density parallel signal processing is achieved by using a simple demodulation technique based on signal rectification. This simple detection scheme is also demonstrated for rejection of the laser intensity noise, making possible the use of lower cost laser without reduction in performances. Results demonstrating this new principle of operation and its performances are presented.

In this paper we propose a Pre-rake system applied with a frequency domain equalizer in TDD/CDMA multi-code transmission. The Pre-rake system has been well known technique in TDD/CDMA to make a receiver simple. However, it still has residual losses of path diversity and signal to noise ratio (SNR). However, gathering all the residual paths demands an additional hardware such as a rake combiner at the receiver. For the reason Pre/Post-rake system has already been proposed at up/downlink correlated channel conditionunder the assumption of noisier channel. There is a trade-off between the first purpose of Pre-rake that makes hardware simple at the receiver and the performance improvement. From the point the frequency domain equalizer (FDE) can be considered in Pre/Post-rake to supply the receiver with the flexible equalizing methods with rather reduced complexity compared with time domain rake combiner or equalizers. Pre-rake itself increases the number of multipath, which results from the convolution of Pre-rake filter and wireless channel, and FDE must be well matched to Pre/Post-rake, while it considers the relationship of hardware complexity and the performance. In this paper, the Pre-rake/Post-FDE system is introduced at TDD/CDMA multi-code transmission. In addition, the cyclic prefix reduction method in the proposed system is introduced, and the theoretical analysis to the proposed system is given by assuming Gaussian approximation, and finally the numerical simulation results are provided.

We present power(in frequency domain) and rate adaptation(in time domain) schemes in multicarrier (MC) direct-sequence code-division multiple-access(DS/CDMA) communications. Utilizing channel state information from the receiver, the adaptation schemes allocate power the user's sub-band with the largest channel gain. In the time domain, the transmission data rate is adapted for a desired transmission quality. In the case of single-user channels, a closed-form expression is derived for an optimal time domain power adaptation that minimizes the average bit error rate(BER). Channel inversion power adaptation is found to provide nearly optimal performance in this case, as the number of sub-bands or available average transmission power increase. Analysis and simulation results show the BER performance of the proposed power and rate adaptations with fixed average transmission power significantly improves the performance over the power allocation in the frequency domain only. Also, we compare the performance of the proposed power and rate adaptation schemes in MC-DS/CDMA systems with that of power and rate adapted single carrier DS/CDMA systems with RAKE receiver.

In this paper, we propose a simple precoding vector design scheme for multi-user multiple-input single-output (MISO) interference channel when there are multiple eavesdroppers. We aim to obtain a mathematical closed-form solution of the secrecy rate optimization problem. For this goal, we design the precoding vector based on the signal-to-leakage plus noise ratio (SLNR). More specifically, the proposed precoding vector is designed to completely eliminate a wiretap channel capacity for refraining the eavesdroppers from detecting the transmitted information, and to maximize the transmitter-receiver link achievable rate. We performed simulation for the performance investigation. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has better secrecy rate than the conventional scheme over all signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) range even though the special condition among the numbers of transmit antennas, transmitter-receiver links, and eavesdroppers is not satisfied.

Pre-Rake CDMA system using multiple transmit antenna provides a good system performance without equipping a complicated RAKE combiner at the mobile receiver. However, the performance of the Pre-Rake systems are significantly affected by channel estimation error so that the effect of the channel estimation error should be considered and analyzed for evaluating the system performance. In this paper, MISO(Multi-Input Multi-output) Pre-Rake CDMA system with channel estimation error is analyzed by numerical analysis and the results are compared with that of the computer simulation. From the numerical results, it is found that the performance of the Pre-Rake system is more affected by the phase error than the amplitude error.

UWB(Ultra Wide Band) under standardization for WPAN has a restriction in transmitting power because of interference with existing systems. To overcome the restriction, in this paper, we construct the MIMO(Multi-input-Multi-Output) channel using multi-transmit/receiver antennas and analyze the performance of the proposed system. In addition, through numerical simulation, we obtain the interference property among these antennas and analyze the effect of an interference to the system. The proposed UWB system has a ML detector and the least square method will be used to cancel the multi-user interference and the inter symbol interference caused by multipath.
