Multiplexing MPEG Video Streams Using Selective Buffering (선택적 버퍼링을 이용한 MPEG 비디오 스트림 다중화 기법)

  • On ATM networks, MPEG video stream is transferred using CBR or VBR services. But because the MPEG video traffic varies greatly from time to time, it is very difficult to transfer the MPEG steam efficiently without loss of transmission bandwidth. Until now, the study on the traffic analysis and control on a single MPEG video stream has been done by many researchers, but the traffic analysis and control on a multiplexed traffic of multiple MPEG video streams has not been studied by any researcher. This paper proposes a multiplexing method to reduce the PCR and traffic variance of a multiplexed traffic of multiple MPEG video streams. By reducing the PCR of the multiplexed traffic, the multiplexed VBR traffic can be transferred efficiently with less loss of transmission bandwidth.

  • 본 논문은 영상, 음성, 문자 정보를 포함한 대용량 멀티미디어 자료의 효율적인 검색을 위하여 진행되고 있는 MPEG-7 국제 표준화 활동의 동향에 대해서 알아 보며 국제표준 MPEG-7을 따르는 MPEG-7 Description Generator의 설계에 관하여 연구한다. 이 생성기는 크게 MPEG-7 DS 편집 모듈과 MPEG-7 Description 편집 모듈로 나뉘다. MPEG-7 Description Generator는 표준화 대상이 아닌 비표준 도구(non-normative tool)로서 세계적인 기업들이 경쟁적으로 개발 중에 있는 멀티미디어 응용 프로그램 중의 하나다. MPEG-7 은 현재 표준화가 진행 중이지만 MPEG-7 Metadata Generator를 개발함으로써 많은 수요가 예상되는 MPEG-7 표준안이 채택될 시점에 MPEG-7 관련 응용프로그램 시장에서 선점하고자 한다.

  • For temporal relations of interactive media such as MPEG-4, it is necessary for a temporal model that can update dynamically presentation time and temporal relations among objects by user events occurring during playback. Also, 811hough the temporal attributes are changed by user events, the validity of scene must be maintained. In this paper, we propose a temporal model that supports user interaction and developed an MPES-4 contents authoring system applying this model. We define the temporal relations of MPEG-4 that tan be authored and user interactions that can change the temporal properties. This authoring system defines the constraints on temporal relations and events and can generate the scene without error by checking the constraints. Also it provides the authoring environment to author visual]y temporal relations and events in MPEG-4 scene and generates the MPEG-4 stream by encoding the authored scene.

  • After the launch of MPEG-2, it is widely used in multimedia applications like a Digital-TV or a DVD. Then, After the launch of H.264 at 2004, it has been expected to replace MPEG-2 and services IPTV and DMB. As we have been used to MPEG-2 devices by this time, we can not access H.264 Broadcast with MPEG-2 device. So We propose a new approach to transcode H.264 video into MPEG-2 form which can facilitate to display H.264 video with MPEG-2 device. To reduce the quality loss by transcoding, we use CPDT(Cascaded Pixel Domain Transcoder) structure. And to minimize processing time, SKIP block, INTRA block and motion vectors obtain from decoding process is employed for transcoding. we use BMA(Boundary Matching Algorithm) to select only one from candidate motion vectors. Experimental results show a considerable improved PSNR with reduction in processing time compared with existing methods.

  • Informations of multimedia centering in the images, are combined acoustic and letter, etc. Although the network advances and the capacity of the storage media extends, these huge informations will not be able to accommodate. From meaning which is like this, International standards for the compression and a multiplexing of image, acoustic and voice H261 where admits standard, JPEG, JBIG, MPEG-l, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and H263, G series etc, are core techniques of multimedia. At initial step of the base technique which creates the base of like this multimedia service time, we developed the real-time MPEG-4 transmission systems to provides real-time MPEG-4 multimedia services. This system means becomes the base technique which hereafter is developed and is applied various system. This system Will be able to apply from a videoconference, a building protection system and a VOD video system to use the Internet. And, They, the image sensing, embedded linux, and MPEG4 software, will become sourceful technique to develop the different system.

  • Digital contents is used already in near place with us. Contents of MPEG-4 standard is used to process multimedia data in field of communication, computer, broadcasting mobile etc. However, absence of copyright management and protection system and interoperability problem of right system between each corporation happened. Because MPEG establish IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection) system standard in agreement with MPEG-4 system standard, proposed cooperation method to manage and protect copyright. Accordingly, in this paper, put in copyright of authorized contents management and protection extension system implementation adding MPEG-4 IPMP system like plug-in into existing MPEG-4 authorizing tool. Therefore, author edits IPMP information to protect contents or object, and process the information in system and authorize MPEG-4 digital contents that have management and protection sign according to IPMP standard. This system designed and implemented to divided into IPMP information save processor, IPMP information creation processor, media IPPM processor, XMT-A to MP4 converter IPMP extension.

  • 본 논문은 MPEG-2 TM 5 비디오 복호기의 전체 구조와 처리과정을 기술한다. 주요한 MPEG-2 복호화 과정으로 비디오 syntax 분석, bitstream 복호 처리과정, quantization, DCT, scanning(zigzag 혹은 alternate scanning), 움직임 보상, frame 재구성, 화면 출력을 위한 dithering 과정이 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-2 복호기의 핵심을 복호기 전체 구조, MPEG-2 bitstream syntax, MPEG-2 복호과정, 움직임 보상과 frame 재구성 그리고 화면 출력을 위한 dithering으로 구분하여 소개한다.

  • MPEG-IoMT 프로젝트는 미디어 사물 간 미디어 또는 가공된 데이터를 주고 받을 수 있게 제정된 표준으로 MPEG-IoMT 표준을 통해 센서, 분석기 등 다양한 미디어 사물과의 연결로 새로이 가공된 데이터를 만들어 주고 받을 수 있게 된다. 하지만 현재는 사용자가 다른 미디어 사물을 연결하고자 할 때 그 기능을 직접 찾고 설정을 해야하는 불편이 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-IoMT 내에 다른 미디어 사물과의 자동적인 연결과 통신이 가능하도록 설정할 수 있는 Setup Information 온톨로지에 대해 제안한다.

  • In this paper, an MPEG-2 based technique for embedding digital watermarks into MPEG-2 video is proposed. The technique hides watermarking information into the DCT coefficients of each frame from MPEG-2 video. Several experiments have been conducted to show the performance in different conditions: the location of embedding watermarks, the change of Bitrates, and relocation of I-pictures in the MPEG video.

  • MPEG-4 컨텐츠는 다양한 시청각 객체들로 구성되어 사용자 상호작용에 대한 정의를 포함하여 동적인 장면 변화를 지원한다. MPEG-4 규칙을 모르는 일반 사용자가 기존에 개발된 MPEG-4 저작 도구를 사용하여 사용자 상호작용과 장면 변화 정보를 생성하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 라우트와 커맨드 정보를 이용하여 사용자 상호작용에 대한 실시간 MPEG-4 장면 갱신을 지원하여 사용자에게 동적인 컨텐츠를 제공한다. 사용자 상호작용과 그에 대한 반응을 시각적으로 저작하면 MPEG-4에 정의된 라우트와 커맨드를 자동으로 생성하여 씬을 실시간에 변화시킨다. 재성되는 씬에 발생하는 사용자 상호작용에 따라서 실시간에 장면 그래프가 갱신되어 컨텐츠를 변화시킨다.
