  • This paper deals with an electromagnetic analysis and control parameter estimation of a moving-coil linear oscillatory actuator (MCLOA). Analytical solutions for electromagnetic characteristics of the MCLOA are obtained from transfer relations derived in terms of a magnetic vector potential and two-dimensional (2-d) rectangular coordinate systems. And then, on the basis of 2-d analytical solutions, control parameters such as the thrust constant, the back-emf constant and winding inductances are estimated. Finally, analytical results for both electromagnetic characteristics and control parameters of the MCLOA are validated extensively by finite element (FE) analyses. In particular, test results such as static thrust, resistance and inductance measurements are given to confirm the analyses.

  • LOA is the linear electromechanical device that mover is similar to secondary conductor of LIM. The mover reciprocates along stroke by supplying the alternating current to primary coil. LOA is the simpler and more efficient than other linear apparatus using the rotary motor because LOA produce the thrust force without any mechanical converter such as cam, clutch, belt, rack and pinion, etc. This paper deals with the static characteristics of moving coil type LOA by virtual work method, FEM analysis and experiment Results show that thrust force increases when mover travels form center to both ends.

  • LDM(Linear DC Motor) are used in high speed, high-precision position control system. Because of these advatages, LDM has already used in the motor of pen-recorder, magnetic-disk devices. Under the limited dimension, we propose the design method of LDM by magnetic circuit. In this paper, a relation between the thrust constant and size of a LDM that is moving coil type with unipolar is described, which is defined as a simple relational equation. To maximize the rate of thrust to the volume of LDM, the magnetic flux density in the yoke is adjusted to the value of magnetic equation By the magnetic field analysis(FEM), the validity of the equation is confirmed.

可動 코일형 Driver Unit 를 이용한 水中擴聲器의 周波數 特性 (A Frequency Characteristics of the Underwater using moving Coil Type Driver Unit)

  • An underwater speaker was made of a moving coil driver unite of usual speaker, acryl-boards, polyester resin, rubber and castor oil and it's frequency characteristics was measured in range of 250~600Hz in air water tank and sea. The results of measurements are follows: 1. Transmitting and receiving frequency of measurement frequency were similar in air, water tank and sea. 2. The input and output wave forms of a manufactured speaker which is not water-proof in air were similar to each other in 300~450Hz, but other frequencies showed distorted wave forms. 3. The input and output wave forms of an underwater speaker in water thank and sea were similar to each other in 250~600Hz. But output wave forms showed combination waves with very low frequency. 4. Transmitting and receiving frequency wave forms and resisting pressure of an underwater speaker at 80m in the depth of water were in good condition. Therefore it can be possible to use it as an underwater speaker.

  • In this study, Dual servo mechanism with VCM(Voice Coil Motor) and PZT is designed for a high precision force and position control. We designed the VCM actuator and dual servo mechanism with leaf spring. VCM actuators, with their high linearity, simple structure, low weight, and high efficiency, are increasingly being used in micro-positioning applications. There are many kinds of VCM with a structure. VCM actuators are divided into two types by moving parts. One is moving magnet type and the other moving coil type. We described the properties of these two types of VCM. Design parameters of VCM are defined through the FEM simulation analysis of magnetic field and dynamic model of dual servo mechanism. These researches help to for decreasing loss in the air gap of VCM. We present dual servo mechanism is effective mechanism for a force control in hi h precision, properties of designed VCM.

  • 이 연구에서는 함정탑재 장비의 진동으로부터 기인되는 고체음의 저감을 목표로 새로운 형태의 복합형 마운트를 개발하였다. 수동형 마운트와 비접촉식 전자기식 작동기 또는 관성력형 작동기로 구성된 복합형 마운트가 우수한 성능을 보유한다는 선행연구 결과를 바탕으로 이 연구에서 개발된 복합형 마운트는 기존의 검증된 수동형 고무마운트와 전자기식 작동기를 비접촉식으로 결합한 형태이며, 내충격 성능을 고려하여 설계하였다. 먼저 장비로부터 유발된 진동이 외부로 전달되는 성분의 차단에 대해 복합형 마운트의 효과적인 구성요소 배치형식을 제안하였으며, 여러 설계인자를 고려한 초기 설계안을 제시하고, 마운트 설치 시 문제원인이 될 수 있는 내충격 성능을 고려한 최종 설계를 수행하였다. 설계된 복합형 마운트를 제작하고, 실험을 통해 성능을 검토하였다.

  • This paper deals with the dynamic analysis and experiments of moving-magnet linear actuator with/without spring. On the basis of two dimensional (2-D) analytical solutions and experiments, control parameters such as thrust constant, back-emf constant, inductance and resistance are obtained. And then, dynamic simulation algorithm is established from the voltage and motion equation. Finally, for various values of frequency, dynamic simulation results for characteristics of current and displacement of moving-magnet linear actuator with and without spring are presented and confirmed through the experiments. In particular, This paper applies the PWM voltage waveform obtained from a DSP for bidirectional voltage drive to the actuator.

소형 이동 로봇을 위한 회전형 보이스 코일 구동기 개발 (Design of Rotating Moving-Magnet-Type VCM Actuator for Miniaturized Mobile Robot)

  • 전자기력을 이용한 소형 회전 무빙 자석 타입 보이스 코일 구동기를 소형 이동 로봇을 위해 개발하였다. 1개의 자석과 1개의 코일 그리고 1개의 요크로 이루어진 간단한 구조이다. DC 모터와 같이 선형으로 근사화한 이론적인 모델링으로 성능을 예측하였고, 유한 요소 해석 프로그램으로 모터 상수와 복원력 상수를 계산하여 자석과 코일 사이의 공극에 따른 성능을 예측하였다. 시작품을 제작하여 실험을 통하여 60Hz 에서 공진 주파수를 가지고 주파수 대역폭이 80Hz를 가짐을 확인하여 모델링을 검증하였다. 그리고 정적으로 1.5V 입력 전압으로 약 20 deg의 회전을 확인하였다. 제안된 구동기는 개루프 제어가 가능하여 회로 구성을 간단히 할 수 있다.

  • In the industrial field the necessity of the linear motion is increasing. We selected a moving magnet coreless type LDM, which have the advantages, such as long stoke, brushless, no cogging force. Actually, the design is accomplished using FEM analysis for the basic configuration of a magnetic circuit, and characteristic equations for coil design. In the course of design we have estimated airgap flux density and thrust.
