Amplitude Approach 방법을 이용한 신호원의 실시간 위치탐지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the real-time Position-searching System using the Amplitude Approach Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 1차원 움직임을 갖는 신호원의 위치를 실시간으로 탐지하기 위해 N개의 안테나를 반원형 구조로 배열하였고, 각각의 수신어레이로부터 수신 전력패턴과 3차 spline 보간법만을 사용하여 신호원의 입사각을 추정하고, 이로부터 신호원의 수평이동 좌표를 화면에 실시간으로 표시하는 시스템을 구현한 논문이다. 본 논문에서 사용한 신호원은 X 대역의 10.52GHz로 10-20dBm 사이의 송신출력으로 하였고, 신호원의 위치를 좌.우 ${\pm}15^{\circ}$ 이내의 임의의 좌표로 수평 이동하면서 제시한 방법의 타당성을 검증하고자 한다.

  • A novel method to control the viewing direction by moving aperture location in 4-f illumination optics to control light direction is proposed. Based on integral imaging principle, the relayed point light sources by 4-f optics are modulated by a spatial light modulator, displaying three-dimensional images. In the proposed method, we locate the aperture, which acts as a band pass filter, around an optic axis to control the light direction. Resultantly, assuming that we know the viewer position by a tracking system, we can display appropriate three-dimensional images over large viewing angle.

Effect of People Moving near Short-Range Indoor Propagation Links at 2.45 GHz

  • Measurement results are presented for the effects of people moving near and across short-range indoor propagation links at 2.45 GHz (ISM band). Excess loss due to scattering and blockage by human bodies in the vicinity of one terminal were measured for different radio links in an office environment. Statistics on fades due to human body motion are given. Polarization coupling (depolarization) for various radio links was measured, and correlation of polarization components is discussed as a basis for using polarization diversity reception in short-range indoor systems.

A Computationally Inexpensive Radio Propagation Model for Vehicular Communication on Flyovers and Inside Underpasses

  • Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) utilize radio propagation models (RPMs) to predict path loss in vehicular environment. Modern urban vehicular environment contains road infrastructure units that include road tunnels, straight roads, curved roads flyovers and underpasses. Different RPMs were proposed in the past to predict path loss, but modern road infrastructure units especially flyovers and underpasses are neglected previously. Most of the existing RPMs are computationally complex and ignore some of the critical features such as impact of infrastructure units on the signal propagation and the effect of both static and moving radio obstacles on signal attenuation. Therefore, the existing RPMs are incapable of predicting path loss in flyovers and underpass accurately. This paper proposes an RPM to predict path loss for vehicular communication on flyovers and inside underpasses that considers both the static and moving radio obstacles while requiring only marginal overhead. The proposed RPM is validated based upon the field measurements in 5 GHz frequency band. A close agreement is found between the measured and predicted values of path loss.

게임 동영상 전송을 위한 적응형 대역폭 방법에서 프레임 폐기 방법에 의한 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation by Frame Discard Methods in Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation Technique for Transmission Plan of Game Moving Picture)

  • 온라인 게임에서 동영상은 게임을 홍보하는 중요한 수단이며, 게임 진행에 많은 도움을 준다. 이 경우에 동영상은 저장 공간의 효율적인 사용과 네트워크 자원의 효율성을 위해 가변 비트율 형태로 압축된다. 적응형 대역폭 할당은 게임 동영상에 대한 전송 계획을 세우고 이 계획에 의한 전송률이 가용 전송률보다 큰 경우에 가용 전송률을 만족시킬 때까지 일부 프레임을 폐기시켜서 전송하는 방법이다. 이때, 적응형 대역폭 할당 방법에서의 평가 요소들은 전송률을 설정하는데 크게 영향을 준 프레임들의 폐기 순서에 따라 크게 달라질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 살펴보기 위하여 전송 계획에 사용되는 CBA, MCBA, MVBA, [6]], [7]의 알고리즘들을 적응형 대역폭 할당 방법의 전송 계획으로 각각 적용하여 다양한 프레임 폐기 방법들로 성능을 평가한다.

  • This paper proposes a dry-type active surface EMG electrode for the myoelectric prosthetic hand. The designed electrode is small size for embedding in the socket of prosthetic hand, and it has three leads including the reference of signal. To acquire EMG signal rejected the power noise, a precision differential amplifier and various filters such as the band pass filter band rejection filter, low pass and high pass filter are embedded on the electrode. The final output of the electrode is integrated absolute EMG (IEMG) obtained by full rectifier and moving average circuits. From experimental results using the implemented dry-type active surface EMG electrode, the proposed electrode is feasible for the myoelectric prosthetic hand.

Phase Difference Detector for Satellite Tracking Based on Field Experiments of COMETS

  • Nowadays, the tracking technology of Quadrant Detector will become actual by new micro devices. Based on the past filed data of the reception experiment with COMETS satellite, we have studied on new device (AD8302, phase difference detector) was acquired and suspect its abilities. In 1998, we have developed a Quadrant Detector for mobile to track a weak signal from satellite on Ka band of COMETS. The Quadrant Detector is comprised of four dedicated feed components for reception under an environment of Nakagami - Rician fading, and one transmission and reception feed component. We were successful in receiving a 23 GHz beacon signal from ICE transponder of the COMETS and succeeded in tracking the satellite from a moving vehicle at speeds of approximately 10 ~ 20 Km/h on paved roads. In 2018, with new device AD8302, we have verified new QD system and performed a simulation, based on the past filed experiment. This new device shall be improving the tracking abilities from mobile body on the earth to the multimedia satellite.

  • It is known tat the echoes from the most objects differ from the incident pulses in amplitude and frequency .Especially, the frequency in echoes from moving target is shiftby the Doppler effect. it causes to reduce the receiving sensitivity of piezoelectric transducers that have definite band width. The electric impedance, whichis connected to the electrical terminals, notably changes the resonant frequency of a thickeness mode piezoelectric vibrator with high electromechanical doupling due to the electroelastic effect. Using this effect, we have developed a frequency controllable ultrasonic transducer which is mad eof multi-layered PZT disks to adjust to frequency shifted by Doppler effect. The characteristics of transducer can be obtained by using the equivalent circuit of transmission line model. It was confirmed experimentally that the center frequency and band width of the trasducer could be controlled by the conditions of the electrical terminals. These results coincided with theoretical results.

비접촉식 유속계를 위한 10.5 GHz 대역 도플러 레이더에 대한 연구 (A study of 10.5 GHz band Doppler radar for non-contact type hydrometer)

  • A Doppler radar is a radar using the doppler effect of the returned echoes from targets to measure their radial velocity. To be more specific the microwave signal sent by the radar antenna's directional beam is reflected toward the radar and compared in frequency, up or down from the original signal, allowing for the direct and highly accurate measurement of target velocity component in the direction of the beam. In this paper, we designed the doppler radar composed of 10.5 GHz band DROs(Dielectric Resonator Oscillator), $90^{\circ}C$ branch line coupler, single balanced mixer and $4{\times}4$ array antenna of high gain, high directivity, for non-contact type hydrometer. Fabricated Doppler radar can detect slow moving objects.

  • One of the most difficult problems in depth control for underwater vehicle is the effect of seaway disturbance. One component of the seaway forces is of large magnitude with a relatively narrow-band, first order component. The other component is generaly of somewhat smaller magnitude, second order component. Since the magnitude of the first order component is generally much greater than the compensating force that can be generating by the planes, it is undesirable for the controller to generate a control command. In this paper, we disigned adaptive notch filtering system using filter bank structure. Energies of each band-passed signal are obtained by MA(Moving Average) method and compared to produce center frequency. By adapting this parameter to notch filter, 1st order seaway disturbance can be removed, which lead to the improvement of automatic depth control system.
