The Remote Supevisory of Chip Mounter Using Web (Web 기반 Chip Mounter의 원격 관리)

  • This growth if WWW(World Wide Web) with the spread of ADSL provides us with a variety of service that are the extensions of opportunities to get information. a various education methods by remote courses and electronic commerce. Remote Monitoring Server(RMS) that uses internet and WWW is constructed for chip mounter. Hardware base consists of RMS, chip mounter and C/S server. In this paper, we realize the remote management system with monitoring and diagnosis function to efficiently operate chip mounter the one of PCB assembly equipment. The remote management system for chip mounter consists of RMS(Remote Monitoring Server) and C/S server. RMS manages real-time information from chip mounter through TCP/IP. RMS that utilizes real-time information informs user of the actual output the operation status of chip mounter, user of the actual output, the operation status of chip mounter, the trouble code and the trouble description.

  • The purpose of this paper is show that an chip mounter can be modeled by stochastic petri nets, and that the simulator to verify a fitness of the program to assemble. The chip mounter can be constructed by using the petri net class (CPetriNet) based on the object-oriented programming. By using this simulator, we can get the information about the description of motion of the chip mounter, and moreover, we can evaluate the productivity.

  • The enterprise find a solution to the problems such as a reduction of manufacturing period, accurate analysis for customer demand, improvement for customer service and rise of manufacture accomplishment. Internet is a good solution to such problems. Internet offers WWW(World Wide Web), remote control, file transfer and e-mail service. Among the services, WWW takes large portion because of convenient GUI, easy information search and unlimited information registration. Remote Monitoring Server(RMS) system that uses network service is constructed for chip mounter. Hardware base consists of RMS, chip mounter and C/S(Customer Service) server. Software includes DBMS and various modules in server home page. This provide product number, bad product number, trouble code, content and countermeasure in real-time information module, user information in setup module, detailed error information in fault diagnosis module, fault history in fault history module and customer information in customer service management module.

  • An implementation method for chip-mounter simulator is proposed to improve the productivity and utility of electronic assembly lines. The simulator emulates the assembly sequence graphically to verify the chip mounter program in offline. It also presents functions of time estimation and productivity analysis considering the error probability. To increase the flexibility of simulator, stochastic petri nets are applied to modeling of the assembly sequence. The sequence model is then implemented as extendable classes by an object oriented language. The simulator is applied to a commercial chip mounter to verify the usefulness of the method proposed.

  • A kinematic ball bar measurement system can analyze the various errors of a machine tool easily and rapidly in a procedure and can measure many types of equipment such as chip mounter, PCB router, precision stage, etc. In this paper, the thermally induced errors are loused among various errors of a chip mounter because it affects the accuracy of the machine very much. Linear regression technique is adapted for the thermal error modeling. While the measurement and calibration of a chip mounter is difficult in general, this developed system is not only easy to apply for it but also improves the accuracy by 4 times or more.

  • In PCB assembling line, it needs SMD mounter. In this paper, the feeder of the SMD mounter, which carry component to the mounter is designed. Up to now, mechanical air feeder is mainly used. But in these days, it is developed to the electrical feeder with network. There are many kind of feeders with various control technique. In this paper, the feeder with BLDC motor and LON chip is designed and implemented. Then the experimental results are presented.

  • A SMT mounter is a kind of equipment that mounts SMD parts quickly on the printed circuit board. By using linear motors, it is controlled with high speed and precision, which is similar to semi-conductor and display process equipment. It is necessarily used in an assembly process of an electronic device. Mobile devices such as a mobile phone and PDA are required to reduce mount areas due to the demands for high performance and small size. Hence, super small sized and complex mobile devices have been developed. To improve the productivity of the corresponding equipment, designs with large sized, high speed, and multidisciplinary functions have been consistently performed. Meanwhile, a design trend of large size and light-weight on SMT mounter causes a low natural frequency of systems and vibration problems at the high speed operation. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of the SMD mounter system were investigated through a modal test and transmissibility test, and verified by finite element method. Also, various design improvement was performed to avoid the resonance phenomena.

  • SMD mounter is necessary in PCB assembling line. To feed SMD components to the mounter, high performance feeders are needed. Until now, mechanical air feeders have been mainly used. However, in these days, electrical feeders with network are developed. There are many kinds of feeders with various control techniques.   • In the development of Chip Mounter(C/M), much interests have risen regarding how to decrease the operation time of mounting the different chips on the printed circuit board(PCB). The existing method to determine the time sequence of teaching C/M was to follow the procedure which was made by the operater. IN this study, a new but effective algorithm has been developed and employed in SCM-130 Chip Mounter and its online programming had reduced the mounting time significantly and provided the basis for the future online CAD/CAM system.
