  • In this study, a single phase driven piezoelectric motor design is presented for linear motion-metal/ ceramics composite structure. Using ANSYS finite element analysis software, mode shape of free motor was obtained to clarify the working principle of this motor. And characteristics of the motor was measured. The motor is composed of a piezoelectric ceramic, a metal ring which has 4 arms, and a guider. The motor with 25.0[mm] diameter was studied by finite element analysis and experimentation too. As a result, the motor was expressed the best speed in resonance frequency. And according as voltage of the motor increase, the speed increased by ratio.

  • This paper considers the vertical pumps resonance and soundness. Normally large vertical pump's rotating speed is low, so the low natural mode can make a resonance on the motor and motor stand assembly. The pump resonance makes a very high vibration and trouble on the pump systems. Thus to avoid pump resonance when the pump is on the resonance region, we give the added mass method and evaluate the structure soundness by computer simulation and test on the site. Furthermore we evaluate the modal sensitivity and expect running conditions by the using ISO10814.

  • 기존의 펄스에코법은 스틸 연소관 내부에서 고무면으로 초음파를 입사시키므로 검사 도중에 고무면이 오염될 수 있으며, 이로 인해 치명적인 미접착 결함을 유발시킬 수 있다. 상기 방법을 보완할 수 있는 시험 기법을 개발하기 위해 스틸/고무 접착 시험편을 제작하여 스틸면으로 초음파를 입사시켰다. 스틸/고무 접착 시험편으로부터 측정한 고무 공진 주파수는 이론적으로 예측한 공진 주파수와 일치하였다. 본 논문은 고무 공진 주파수를 이용하여 고무 두께를 측정할 수 있는 초음파 공진법에 대해 기술하였다.

대형 수직펌프의 리드공진 문제 (Reed Resonance Problems of Large Vertical Pumps)

  • A detailed investigation of a reed resonance for a vertical pump design has been conducted. The structural features of this class of pump lead to typical dynamic characteristics. Of particular importance is the fact that the pump assembly is suspended on a high column above the floor with a heavy motor on the top. Considerable amount of mass forces is involved and the vibration can cause damage to the pumps or to the foundation. It is shown that the reed resonance of the pump-motor system plays important role for design and troubleshooting purposes.

  • In this paper, we studied efficiency improvement of linear ultrasonic motor using projection. The principle of ultrasonic motor is to use an elliptic motion generated at the side of the vibrator, and the elliptic motion of the ultrasonic motor was obtained by complex oscillation of L$_1$-B$_4$ mode. As the experimental results, the efficiency of linear ultrasonic motor without projection was 1.52[%] when applied voltage was 56[V] in resonance frequency 58.4[kHz]. The efficiency of linear ultrasonic motor using projection was 3.36[%] when applied voltage was 56[V] in resonance frequency 58.4[kHz]. The efficiency was improved by projection.

  • This pap4er analyzes resonance characteristics of a slave motor that is not controlled by load and parameter differences between Dual motors during parallel operation in middle-low speed. Dual SPMSMs(Surface mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) connected in parallel to a single inverter controlled by the master and slave control in this paper. Based on the stability analysis of the SPMSM for a variation of torque angle, the 6th nonlinear state equation of the torque angle variation in the SIMM(Single Inverter Multi Motor) structure is derived according to a mathematical model for the dual motors. In general, an analysis of the 6th order nonlinear state equation is complex. Therefore, a resonance frequency generated from the slave motor is found from the characteristic equation of the 2nd order system obtained by linearization and model reduction near steady state operation point. Through simulations and experiments, it is confirmed that the stability analysis of the SPMSMs and state equation models are useful for the variation of the torque angle analyzed in this paper.

  • Piezoelectric ceramics is an active element that makes stator to vibrate to generate rotational force in ultrasonic motors. In drive of ultrasonic motors, many factors that affect to the resonance characteristics of piezoelectric ceramics exist. For example, those factors are bonding condition with elastic body, the magnitude of electric field, the normal force for frictional drive and the emission of heat due to vibration and friction and so on. Therefore, it is important to research the inclination of property variation of piezoelectric ceramics in circumstance that has complex elements. In this paper, we focused and analyzed the resonance characteristics of ultrasonic motor due to the magnitude of the driving voltage and normal force.

  • This paper deals with a flat type ultrasonic motor, which uses a longitudinal-bending multi mode vibrator of rectangular form. A linear ultrasonic motor was designed by combination of the first longitudinal and eighth bending mode, and the motor consisted of a straight aluminum alloy bar bonded with piezoelectric ceramic elements as a driving element. The geometrical dimensions of the rectangular aluminum vibrator were determined by Euler-Bernoulli theory ANSYS was used to analyze the resonance frequency and the displacement of the stator vibrator. The resonance frequency of the motor provides the elliptical motion. and ANSYS was used to analyze elliptical motion and elliptical trajectory of stator vibrator when thickness of piezoelectric ceramics was varied respectively 0.763, 1.526, 2.289[mm] and width of stator vibrator was varied respectively 16, 12, 8, 4[mm]. When thickness of piezoelectric ceramics was decreased, the displacement of the stator vibrator was increased. And when width of stator vibrator was decreased, the displacement of the stator vibrator was increased.

  • This paper describes with the stator analysis and design of a ring type ultrasonic motor. The design for piezoelectric ceramic and elastic body of stator were calculated by using the finite element method (FEM) that consider the resonance frequency, vibration mode and coupling efficiency. Namely, such results were acquired the calculation result of the piezoelectric ceramic thickness 0.5[mm], elastic body thickness 2.0[mm], resonance frequency 51.8[kHz], vibration mode 7 order and coupling efficient 12.5[%], the outer and inner diameter of vibrator 50[mm], 38[m]. On the basis of such result, the ring type ultrasonic motor was manufactured. Also for driving characteristics of ring type ultrasonic motor, 2-phase inverter was constructed. Then the propriety of this paper was established from comparision of the simulation and an experiment results of the ring type ultrasonic motor.
