강성변화를 고려한 점용접부의 준정적피로해석 (Quasi Static Fatigue Analysis of Spot Welding Component considering Change of Stiffness)

  • 점용접은 자동차 산업에서 많이 사용되어지는데 조립공정의 자동화로 인하여 경제성과 차체 중량을 높이지 않아 자동차 연비 개선효과가 있다. 그러나 차량 주행시 노면으로부터 불규칙적인 하중전달 및 진동으로 인하여 점 용접부에 응력집중이 발생하고 피로파괴가 종종 발생한다. 이에 대하여 강성변화를 고려한 점용접부의 피로수명 평가는 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 선형정적해석을 수행하여 취약부위를 파악하였다. 점용접부의 피로특성을 획득하였고, 시간영역에서 3단계의 하중이력을 도출하여, 준정적 피로해석에 조건으로 설정하여 수행하였다. 또한 점용접부에 대한 피로수명예측 방법은 기존 방법과 피로누적으로 인한 손상방법을 적용하여 나타낸 결과를 가지고 비교분석하였다.

소형 전기자동차용 감속기 설계 (Design of a Reducer Gear for Small Electric Vehicles)

  • In recent times, fuel economy enhancement and environmental regulation compliance have become the main topics of interest in the automobile industry. Electric vehicles are desirable alternatives to the existing cars that employ internal combustion engines. Specifically, electric vehicles are equipped with inverters, motors, and a gearbox instead of engines and transmission mechanisms. The gearbox is a key component, used to transmit power from the electric motor to the wheel. Therefore, the design of the gearbox is critical. However, most engineers design gears based only on their experience because no standards pertaining to the design factor exist, other than those for the gear ratios. To overcome this problem, the structural stabilities must be examined considering the design factors of the gears. In this study, we considered the module and number of teeth as the main factors. The constraints corresponded to the final gear ratio and fixed distance between each axle of the shafts. Moreover, a structural analysis was conducted, and the variation trend of the maximum equivalent stress against changes in the gear module and number of teeth was examined. By performing such an analysis, the structural stability in the design of a gear system could be effectively investigated.

  • The fiber reinforced composite material is widely used in the multi-industrial field where the weight reduction of the infrastructure is demanded because of their high specific modulus and specific strength. Pressure vessels using this composite material in comparison with conventional metal vessels can be applied in the field where lightweight and the high pressure is demanded from the defense and aerospace industry to rocket motor case due to the merits which are energy curtailment by the weight reduction and decrease of explosive damage precede to the sudden explosion which is generated by the pressure leakage condition. In this paper, for nonlinear finite element analysis of E-glass/epoxy filament winding composite pressure vessel receiving an internal pressure, the standard interpretation model is developed by using the ANSYS 5.7.1, the general commercial program, which is verified as the accuracy and useful characteristic of the solution based on Auto LISP and ANSYS APDL. Both the preprocessor for doing exclusive analysis of filament winding composite pressure vessel and postprocessor that simplifies result of analysis have been developed to help the design engineers.

PMF모델을 이용한 대기 중 PM-10 오염원의 정량적 기여도 추정 (Estimation of Quantitative Source Contribution of Ambient PM-10 Using the PMF Model)

  • In order to maintain and manage ambient air quality, it is necessary to identify sources and to apportion its sources for ambient particulate matters. The receptor methods were one of the statistical methods to achieve reasonable air pollution strategies. Also, receptor methods, a field of chemometrics, is based on manifold applied statistics and is a statistical methodology that analyzes the physicochemical properties of gaseous and particulate pollutant on various atmospheric receptors, identifies the sources of air pollutants, and quantifies the apportionment of the sources to the receptors. The objective of this study was 1) after obtaining results from the PMF modeling, the existing sources of air at the study area were qualitatively identified and the contributions of each source were quantitatively estimated as well. 2) finally efficient air pollution management and control strategies of each source were suggested. The PMF model was intensively applied to estimate the quantitative contribution of air pollution sources based on the chemical information (128 samples and 25 chemical species). Through a case study of the PMF modeling for the PM-10 aerosols, the total of 11 factors were determined. The multiple linear regression analysis between the observed PM-10 mass concentration and the estimated G matrix had been performed following the FPEAK test. Finally the regression analysis provided quantitative source contributions (scaled G matrix) and source profiles (scaled F matrix). The results of the PMF modeling showed that the sources were apportioned by secondary aerosol related source 28.8 %, soil related source 16.8%, waste incineration source 11.5%, field burning source 11.0%, fossil fuel combustion source 10%, industry related source 8.3%, motor vehicle source 7.9%, oil/coal combustion source 4.4%, non-ferrous metal source 0.3%. and aged sea- salt source 0.2%, respectively.

PMF 모델을 이용한 대기 중 PM-10 오염원의 확인 (Source Identification of Ambient PM-10 Using the PMF Model)

  • The objective of this study was to extensively estimate the air quality trends of the study area by surveying con-centration trends in months or seasons, after analyzing the mass concentration of PM-10 samples and the inorganic lements, ion, and total carbon in PM-10. Also, the study introduced to apply the PMF (Positive Matrix Factoriza-tion) model that is useful when absence of the source profile. Thus the model was thought to be suitable in Korea that often has few information about pollution sources. After obtaining results from the PMF modeling, the existing sources at the study area were qualitatively identified The PM-10 particles collected on quartz fiber filters by a PM-10 high-vol air sampler for 3 years (Mar. 1999∼Dec.2001) in Kyung Hee University. The 25 chemical species (Al, Mn, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, As, Se, Cd, Ba, Ce, Pb, Si, N $a^{#}$, N $H_4$$^{+}$, $K^{+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, C $l^{[-10]}$ , N $O_3$$^{[-10]}$ , S $O_4$$^{2-}$, TC) were analyzed by ICP-AES, IC, and EA after executing proper pre - treatments of each sample filter. The PMF model was intensively applied to estimate the quantitative contribution of air pollution sources based on the chemical information (128 samples and 25 chemical species).   • 모터의 일종으로서 엑츄에이터는 전기 에너지를 운동 에너지로 변환하기 위하여 전류를 이용하여 동작하는 메커니즘을 제어하는 시스템이다. 전압을 가청 신호로 변환하는 기능을 갖는 오디오 액츄 에이터로서는 스피커와 증폭기가 흔히 사용된다. 산업 현장에서는 고출력 고양질의 전력 시스템이 필요하다. 이러한 시스템들이 품질이 좋은 출력을 생성하기 위하여 오디오 시스템의 출력 임피던스를 제어해야 만 한다. 우리는 이 논문에서 가변 부하가 연결되어 있는 능동 증폭기 시스템을 구동하기 위한 적응 특성을 전력 공급기를 제시한다. 전기 신호를 오디오 신호로 변환하는 스피커의 저항값이 변동함에 따라 능동 증폭기에 대한 전력 공급 장치는 부하값의 변동에 적응하여 스피커에 최대 전력을 공급하며, 피크전류의 급격한 변동과 과잉전류의 흐름으로부터 증폭기를 보호하게 된다.

A Study on the Actuator for Robot Control Using Wireless ZigBee Sensor Networks

  • The Interest in robotics has been steadily increasing in recent times both in Korea as well as abroad. Research on robots for new and diverse fields is ongoing. This study discusses the current research and development on robot actuator, which are used to control the joints of robots, and focuses on developing more efficient technology for joint control, as compared with the current technologies. It also aims to find means to apply the abovementioned technology to diverse industrial fields. We found that easy and effective control of actuators could be achieved by using ZigBee sensor networks, which were widely being used on wireless communications. Throughout the experiments it is proved that the developed wireless actuator could be used for easy control of various robot joints. This technology can be effectively applied to develop two-legged robots that will be able to walk like human, or even quadruped and hexapod robots. It can also be applied to motors used in industry. In this study, we develop an extremely minimized ZigBee sensor network module that can be used to control various servo motors with low power consumption even if it is long distances. We realized effective wireless control by optimizing the ZigBee antenna, and were able to quickly check the status of relevant Tree node through mutual communication between the servo motors composing the ZigBee sensor network and the main server control modules. The developed Servo Motor with ZigBee sensor network modules can be applied in both robotics as well as for home or factory automation.

컴퓨터 시뮬레이션(CAE)을 이용한 자동차용 리어 서브-프레임의 하이드로-포밍 공정 개발 (Hydro-forming Process of Automotive Rear Sub-frame by Computer Simulation (CAE))

  • The hydroforming technology has been spreaded dramatically in automotive industry last 10 years. Itmay cause many advantages to automotive applications in terms of better structural integrity of the parts, lower cost from fewer part count, material saving, weight reduction, lower springback, improved strength and durability and design flexibility. In this study, the whole process of rear sub-frame parts development by tube hydroforming using steel material having tensile strength of 440MPa grade is presented. At the part design stage, it requires feasibility study and process design aided by CAE (Computer Aided Design) to confirm hydroformability in details. Effects of parameters such as internal pressure, axial feeding and geometry shape in automotive rear sub-frame by hydroforming process were carefully investigated. Overall possibility of hydroformable sub-frame parts could be examined by cross sectional analyses. Moreover, it is essential to ensure the formability of tube material on every forming step such as pre-bending, preforming and hydroforming. In addition, all the components of prototyping tool are designed and interference with press is examined from the point of geometry and thinning.

자율주행자동차 도입에 따른 사업용 차량 도로교통 안전사업 개선방안 우선순위 선정 연구 (Study on the Prioritization of Improvement Plan for Road Traffic Safety Projects for Business Vehicles by the Introduction of Autonomous Vehicles)

  • 최근 자동차 산업은 자율주행자동차로 인해 빠르게 변화하고 있고 관련된 연구 또한 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 하지만 자율주행자동차의 기술에 관한 연구가 대부분이며, 도로교통 안전과 관련한 변화 예측과 개선방안에 대한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 자율주행자동차의 도입에 따른 사업용 차량 도로교통 안전사업의 개선방안 제시와 우선순위 도출을 목적으로 수행하였다. 자율주행자동차 전문가를 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과와 AHP를 이용하여 분석한 결과 교통수단안전점검 법령 개정, 자율주행자동차 운전자 및 운영자 등에 대한 교육제도 개발 등이 가장 우선시 되어야 할 것으로 분석되었다.
