  • In this study, for natural leather use, the phytoncide oil of antibacterial materials was encapsulated in several micro-diameter shell which slowly releases from the leather treated with antibacterial microcapsules. The microcapsule was synthesized by in-situ polymerization of urea and formaldehyde. The effects of surfactants on the average particle size and distributions, morphologies and antibiosis were investigated to design microcapsule.

  • Titanium foils for use in photoelectrochemical devices are treated with a $HNO_3$-HF solution. After this treatment, the optical reflection characteristics of the Ti substrates are markedly increased in terms of not only reflectivity but also optimized wavelength. Furthermore, the "multiple beam interference" theory and optical analysis of surface morphologies clearly verify the origin of the optimized optical reflection properties.

  • A newly recorded glycerid polychaete collected from mud of the tidal flat in the southwestern coast of Korea is identified as Glycera fallax Quatrefages, 1850 based on the morphologies of papaillae and ailerons on proboscis, parapodial postsetal lobes, and branchiae. In this paper, we provide a detailed description and illustration of Korean materials of this species and a key to the species of the genus Glycera from Korean waters.

  • NPB surface morphologies deposited on different temperature substrates were investigated using atomic force microscopy(AFM). It has been found that the NPB morphology turned from island morphology at high temperature(100$^{\circ}C$) to grain morphology at room temperature. To characterize the effect of NPB surface morphology, the devices with the structure of Glass/ITO/NPB/$Alq_3$/Al were fabricated using NPB films deposited at different substrate temperature and their performances were compared.

  • Closed-cell type barrier ribs such as honeycomb, SDR, inverse SDR and waffle types were produced using capillary molding process. Phosphor layers were formed by osmosis coating process on those barrier ribs. Using the rear plate with closed-cell ribs, the luminance and its efficiency was measured. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in efficiency by combining closed-cell type ribs with a new phosphor forming technology

  • Blending Is cheap and leads to new thermoplastics, many properties which can be predicted from those of the components. Due to the incompatibility of their components, most blends feature coarse phase morphologies with weak interfaces between the phases. Consequently the blends are brittle. Thermoplastic elastomers which have two kinds of segments in the chain have flexible(soft) and rigid(hard) segments and exhibit a unique combination of strength, flexibility, and processibility. • A geologic disasters in Ulreung-island is forming along the slope of pyroclastic, deposits and this paper discusses soil mechanics and properties and morphologies of pyroclastic soil. The typers of degradation are determined by cutting the soil and classified genetically. Finally, the range of stability is deduced from dip of slope (${\alpha}$) and lengh of slope (l) as the following;.

  • To derive the metallicities of M3 and M5, we used the shape of red giant branch, horizontal branch magnitude, and red giant branch bump on the (V-I)-V color magnitude diagrams. [Fe/H] values ranging -1.46 ∼ -1.69 for M3, and -1.00 ∼ -1.49 for M5 are estimated. These values are in good agreements with the previously determined ones. This result leads the morphologies of red giant and horizontal branches on the (V-I)-V color magnitude diagrams can be good indirect metallicity indicators of galactic globular clusters.

  • Two pleurostomatid ciliates, Amphileptus litonotiformis Song, 1991 and Kentrophyllum setigerum (Quennerstedt, 1867), were collected from the coastal waters of Korea. Their morphologies are described based on live observation and protargol impregnation, and their diagnoses and morphometrics are provided. Additionally, sequence information of small subunit ribosomal RNA obtained from two species were reported.
