재정정보 활용을 위한 텍스트 마이닝 기반 회계용어 형태소 분석기 구축 (Development of Text Mining-Based Accounting Terminology Analyzer for Financial Information Utilization)

  • Purpose Social interest in financial statement notes has recently increased. However, contrary to the keen interest in financial statement notes, there is no morphological analyzer for accounting terms, which is why researchers are having considerable difficulty in carrying out research. In this study, we build a morphological analyzer for accounting related text mining techniques. This morphological analyzer can handle accounting terms like financial statements and we expect it to serve as a springboard for growth in the text mining research field. Design/methodology/approach In this study, we build customized korean morphological analyzer to extract proper accounting terms. First, we collect Company's Financial Statement notes, financial information data published by KPFIS(Korea Public Finance Information Service), K-IFRS accounting terms data. Second, we cleaning and tokeninzing and removing stopwords. Third, we customize morphological analyzer using n-gram methodology. Findings Existing morphological analyzer cannot extract accounting terms because it split accounting terms to many nouns. In this study, the new customized morphological analyzer can detect more appropriate accounting terms comparing to the existing morphological analyzer. We found that accounting words that were not detected by existing morphological analyzers were detected in new customized morphological analyzers.

Morphological Operations to Segment a Tumor from a Magnetic Resonance Image

  • This paper describes an efficient framework for the extraction of a brain tumor from magnetic resonance (MR) images. Before the segmentation process, a median filter is used to filter the image. Then, the morphological gradient is computed and added to the filtered image for intensity enhancement. After the enhancement process, the thresholding value is calculated using the mean and the standard deviation of the image. This thresholding value is used to binarize the image followed by the morphological operations. Moreover, the combination of these morphological operations allows to compute the local thresholding image supported by a flood-fill algorithm and a pixel replacement process to extract the tumor from the brain. Thus, this framework provides a new source of evidence in the field of segmentation that the specialist can aggregate with the segmentation results in order to soften his/her own decision.

  • The main objective of an Information Retrieval System (IRS) is to obtain suitable information within a reasonable time to satisfy a user need. To achieve this purpose, an IRS should have a good indexing system that is based on natural language processing.In this context, we focus on the available Arabic language processing techniques for an IRS with the goal of contributing to an improvement in the performance. Our contribution consists of integrating morphological analysis into an IRS in order to compare the impact of morphological analysis with that of stemming algorithms.

  • Mathematical morphology는 이론적 배경으로 신호 및 시스템의 기하학적 특성을 해석하는데 우수하고 잡음이 섞인 데이터를 고르기에 있어서 매우 성공적으로 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 morphological필터의 하드웨어 구현은 같은 회로에서 gray scale dilation과 erosion을 수행하여 최소값과 최대값을 선택하도록 함으로써 회로의 복잡성을 줄이고 병렬처리가 가능하도록 하였다. Morphological filter의 구조는 structuring element블록, 이미지 데이타 블록, 제어 블록, ADD 블록, MIN/MAX블록으로 구성되고 실시간 처리가 가능하도록 하드웨어를 설계, one chip화 한다.

PC-KIMMO-based Description of Mongolian Morphology

  • This paper presents the development of a morphological processor for the Mongolian language, based on the two-level morphological model which was introduced by Koskenniemi. The aim of the study is to provide Mongolian syntactic parsers with more effective information on word structure of Mongolian words. First hand written rules that are the core of this model are compiled into finite-state transducers by a rule tool. Output of the compiler was edited to clarity by hand whenever necessary. The rules file and lexicon presented in the paper describe the morphology of Mongolian nouns, adjectives and verbs. Although the rules illustrated are not sufficient for accounting all the processes of Mongolian lexical phonology, other necessary rules can be easily added when new words are supplemented to the lexicon file. The theoretical consideration of the paper is concluded in representation of the morphological phenomena of Mongolian by the general, language-independent framework of the two-level morphological model.

이진 영상화 방법을 이용한 그레이 준위 영상의 형태학적 연산자의 설계 (The design of gray-scale morphological operators using binarization technique)

  • In this paper we propose fast real-time hardwares for morphological operators using the method of decomposing gray-scale values into binary. the designed hardware is generalized not to be affected by the maximum values of structuring elements. We also propose a method of designing parallel hardware using the unit morphological hardware to deal with situations of using various sizes of structuring elements. The VHDL simulation results of the unit morphological hardwares are identical to those of theorectical operators.

  • This paper presents a new morphological spatio-temporal segmentation algorithm. The algorithm incorporates intensity and motion information simultaneously, and uses morphological tools such as morphological filters and watershed algorithm. The procedure toward complete segmetnation consists of three steps: joint marker extraction, boundary decision, and motion-based region fusion. By incorporating spatial and temporal information simultaneously, we can obtain visually meaningful segmentation results. Simulation results demonstrates the efficiency of the proposed method.

A Rule-Based Analysis from Raw Korean Text to Morphologically Annotated Corpora

  • Morphologically annotated corpora are the basis for many tasks of computational linguistics. Most current approaches use statistically driven methods of morphological analysis, that provide just POS-tags. While this is sufficient for some applications, a rule-based full morphological analysis also yielding lemmatization and segmentation is needed for many others. This work thus aims at 〔1〕 introducing a rule-based Korean morphological analyzer called Kormoran based on the principle of linearity that prohibits any combination of left-to-right or right-to-left analysis or backtracking and then at 〔2〕 showing how it on be used as a POS-tagger by adopting an ordinary technique of preprocessing and also by filtering out irrelevant morpho-syntactic information in analyzed feature structures. It is shown that, besides providing a basis for subsequent syntactic or semantic processing, full morphological analyzers like Kormoran have the greater power of resolving ambiguities than simple POS-taggers. The focus of our present analysis is on Korean text.

MADE : 형태소 분석기 개발환경 (MADE: Morphological Analyzer Development Environment)

  • 본 논문은 실용적인 한국어 형태소 분석기 개발에 사용될 수 있는 도구인 MADE를 소개한다. MADE는 형태소 사전에서 제공되는 인접 조건만을 사용하여 형태소 분석을 수행한다. 이것은 형태소 분석기를 개발하기 위해 별도의 프로그래밍은 전혀 하지 않고 단지 형태소 사전만 구축하면 된다는 것을 의미한다. MADE는 형태소 사전을 구축하고 검증하는데 필요한 기능들을 제공한다. 일단 형태소 사전이 구축되고 나면 MADE는 독립된 형태소 분석기로서 사용될 수도 있고 형태소 분석기를 필요로 하는 다른 응용 소프트웨어에 내장되어 사용될 수도 있다.

Gray Scale Morphology를 이용한 하이브리드 메디안 필터에 관한 연구 (A Study on Hybrid Median Filter Using Gray Scale Morphology)

  • Morphological 필터는 다양한 structuring element로서 morphological 연산으로 구성된다. 두개의 기본적인 morphological 연산은 erosion과 dilation이다. 두 연산에 기본을 두고 OC, CO 필터가 정의된다. 가우시안 잡음이 포함된 이미지의 잡음을 제거할 경우 OC 필터의 성능이 CO의 성능보다 우수함을 확인하였다. 본 논문에서는 이미지 처리에 있어서 하이브리드 메디안 필터를 구성하여 다른 필터 보다 화질의 선명도를 개선하고 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 해석하였다.
