Piezomagnetic behaviors have been observed far above the Neel temperature in the perovskite-type layer structure compound $(C_{18}H_{37}NH_3)_2MnCl_4$undergoing structural phase transitions. Our observations were well explained by the magnetic and the structural orders coupled together via a magnetostructural coupling attributable to the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction.

This paper discusses constraints on grammaticalization, a primarily diachronic process through which lexical elements take on grammatical functions. In particular, it will argue that two constraints on this process, namely Persistence and Lwering, explain the different distributional patterns of time-relationship adverbs in Japanese, Korean, English and German. Furthermore, it will suggest that the distributional difference between Japanese and Korean time-relationship adverbs is not an isolated phenomenon but is a reflection of the overall semantic typological differences between the two languages in the sense of Hawkins (1986).

The separation of scintillation phenomena concurrent with rain attenuation phenomena can be accomplished by filtering. Based on the analysis of satellite signal fading during rain, scintillation and rain attenuation phenomena are examined and extracting from raw data by using adaptive IIR high-pass filter and adaptive IIR low-pass filter. Adaptive IIR filter are designed by using the algorithm of Least Mean p-Power (LMP) Error Criterion which have been modified by Quantizing Gradient technique. We report a micromagnetic numerical study on different quasi-crystal formations of magnetic vortices in a rich variety of dynamic transient states in soft magnetic nano-disks. Only the application of spin-polarized dc currents to a single magnetic vortex leads to the formation of topological-soliton quasi-crystals composed of different configurations of skyrmions with positive and negative half-integer numbers (magnetic vortices and antivortices). Such topological object formations in soft magnets, not only in the absence of Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction but also without magnetocrystalline anisotropy, are discussed in terms of two different topological charges, the winding number and the skyrmion number. This work offers an insight into the dynamic topological-spin-texture quasi-crystal formations in soft magnets.
