Recently, since there are several problems in space, the infra-structure and the facilities in the contiguity of the existing harbors due to the trend of enlarging the container capacity of the large container vessel, a special floating platform named as the Mobile Harbor has been proposed conceptually as an effective solution of those problems. Two kinds of hull shapes, a conventional mono-hull type and a catamaran type, are proposed as midway feeders to transfer containers to the harbor on land from a large container ship on near shore. In this study, the motion response and mooring analysis are carried out for comparing the global performance of two types of Mobile Harbor. Robot arm mooring facility specially is devised and newly tried to use for the safe fixation of a large container ship and the Mobile Harbor on near shore. It would be expected for this comparison study to give a guideline to design the efficient hull form for a midway loader.

The Port of Pyeong Taek is located on the west coast, meaning that the difference between the rise and fall of tide is great (flood tide 1.8 to 2.9 knots, ebb tide 1.6 to 2.9 knots). Due to mainly N~NW'ly strong winds & high waves during winter, navigating as well as loading & discharging vessels must focus on cargo handling. The strong tidal and wind forces in the Port of Pyeong Taek can push an LNG carrier away from its berth, which will end up causing forced disconnection between the vessel's cargo line and shore-side loading arm. The primary consequence of this disconnection will be LNG leakage, which will lead to tremendous physical damage to the hull and shore-side equipment. In this study, the 125K LNG Moss Type ship docked at No. 1 Pier of the Pyeong Taek is observed, and the tension of the mooring line during cargo handling is calculated using a combination of wind and waves to determine effective mooring line and mooring line priority management. As a result if the wind direction is $90^{\circ}$ to the left and right of the bow, it was found that line monitoring should be performed bearing special attention to the Fore Spring Line, Fore Breast Line, and Aft Spring Line.

The anchor is laid on seabed and the main engine is worked to against incident environmental loads in typoon. As the main engine is broken down in the storm, the anchor chain is cutted and the vessel is drifted. Although a ship is moored by two point mooring lines to keep the her position, a ship is crashed into a rock because of typoon and the accident of oil spilling may be occured. In this paper, we studied the position-keeping of a ship which is analyized based on the slow motion maneuvering equations considering wave, current and wind. The direct integration method is employed to estimate wave loads. The current forces are calculated by using mathematical of MMG. The two point mooring forces are quasisatatically evaluated by using the catenary equation. The coefficeints of wind forces are modeled from Isherwood’s emperical data and the variation of wind speed is estimated by wind spectrum. The nonlinear motions of a two point moored ship are simulated considering wave, current, wind load in time domain.

Recently, the earth scale disaster is occurring frequently. Under the effects of global warming, the weather has become unseasonable worldwide. Hence, the earth is experiencing unstable condition with many disasters such as storms and flood damages as well as earthquake. Therefore, it is necessary to consider what we am do to prevent disasters. Consequently, recent warnings indicate that there is a potential risk of massive earthquakes. Consideration of the effects of tsunami to the moored ship is very important. Operational problems such as moored ship motions sometimes become remarkable with large amplitude and long periods in harbor. Moored ship motions may cause the breakage of mooring systems such as mooring lines, fenders or quay. Large and long period moored ship motions are caused by resonant effects. In this paper, the moored ship motions within a harbor by the large-scale tsunami and the effects on the motions and mooring loads with resonant effects are investigated by numerical simulations.

Hence, the earth is experiencing unstable condition with many disasters such as storms and flood damages as well as earthquake. Therefore, it is necessary to consider what we can do to prevent disasters. A disaster like earthquake will inevitably occur in view of the probabilities. The active period of earthquakes and the inactive periods repeat alternatively. Consequently, recent warnings indicate that there is a potential risk of massive earthquakes. The increase of risk in port due to the increase in ship size and sea level rises, the standard crown height will increase. In this study, cruise and container ships will need to raise their crown height due to the projected wind pressure areas becoming larger due to the ships' size increase. The mooring assessment was evaluated with the rise of the crown height. The cruise ship of GT 100,000 tons exceeded the permissible breaking force of the mooring line under the crown height conditions of wind speed of 30 kts when the wind direction was $45^{\circ}$ to the direction of the bow. Also, the elevation angle of the pier and mooring line was analyzed and exceeded the crown height, and it was determined that it is necessary to adjust the crown height. Container ships of DWT 100,000 tons were analyzed to exceed the limit of sway motion at the crown height and it was determined that they need to be adjusted to the minimum crown height standard.

Sea level rise due to global warming is accelerating. According to the IPCC survey, the expected sea level rise in 2100 was analyzed to be 47cm in the low-carbon scenario (SSP 1-2.6) and 82cm in the high-carbon scenario (SSP 5-8.5). Sea level rise can cause serious damage to port infrastructure and reduce the safety of ships docked inside ports. In this study, Mokpo Port, which frequently suffers from flooding during high tide, was selected and the sensitivity of mooring evaluation factors was analyzed for actual berthing ships according to sea level rise scenarios. From the analysis, we found that the tension of mooring line, the load of bollard, vertical angle of mooring line, and ship's motion of 6-DOF, which are evaluation factors, generally increased when the sea level increased. The most sensitive evaluation factor was sway motion of 6-DOF. Also, we analyzed that the value of mooring evaluation factors decreased when the crown height was raised. This was beneficial in improving ship and pier safety. The results of this study can be used as basic data to secure measures to improve port and ship safety according to sea level rise in Mokpo Port.
As the size of container ships continues to increase, not many existing harbors can host the super-container ship due to its increased draft and the corresponding dredging requires huge budget. In addition, the minimization of waiting and loading/offloading time is the most important factor in harbor competitiveness. In this regard, mobile-harbor concept has been developed in Korea to achieve much improved harbor capacity and efficiency. In developing the concept, one of the most important elements is the operability of crane between two or more floating bodies in side-by-side arrangement. The container ship is to be stationed through a hawser connection to an outside-harbor fixed-pile station with the depth allowing its large draft. The mobile harbors with smart cranes are berthed to the sides of its hull for loading/offloading containers and transportation. For successful operation, the relative motions between the two or more floating bodies with hawser/fender connections have to be within allowable range. Therefore, the reliable prediction of the relative motions of the multiple floating bodies with realistic mooring system is essential to find the best hull particulars, hawser/mooring/fender arrangement, and crane/docking-station design. Time-domain multi-hull-mooring coupled dynamic analysis program is used to assess the hydrodynamic interactions among the multiple floating bodies and the global performance of the system. Both collinear and non-collinear wind-wave-current environments are applied to the system. It is found that the non-collinear case can equally be functional in dynamics view compared to the collinear case but undesirable phenomena associated with vessel responses and hawser tensions can also happen at certain conditions, so more care needs to be taken.

When ship claps against the ocean structure sited at shallow water, the time simulation of motion responses of dolphin-moored ocean structure is presented. The equatien of motion based on Cummin's theory of impulse responses are employed, and solved in time domain by using the Newmark $\beta$ method. The added mass and damping coefficients involved in the equations are obtained from a three-dimensional panel method in the frequency domain. The impact forces due to ship collision are modeled as two method, and those are elastic and non-elastic collisions. The mooring forces for dolphin systems of scean structure are considered as linear spring system.
