구분적선형시스템을 이용한 해양 구조물의 거동분석 (Analysis of Response behaviors of offshore mooring structures by a piecewise-linear system)

  • 해양계선시스템(offshore mooring system)의 거동을 구분적선형시스템(piecewise-linear system)을 이용하여 분석하였다. 계선시스템의 복원력을 유도하고 거기에 상응하는 근사치 구분적선형시스템의 복원력을 구하여 두 시스템의 복원력을 비교하였다. 다양한 파력 하에서의 계선시스템의 응답거동을 분석하였다. 시스템의 비선형정도 및 매개변수의 영향에 대하여 집중적으로 연구하였다. 시스템의 응답거동의 특성은 포인케어맵(Poincare map)을 통하여 확인하였다. 구분적선형시스템을 이용하여 분석한 결과, 계선시스템은 일반 조화, 열조화 및 복잡한 비선형거동인 chaos를 포함한 다양한 응답거동을 갖음을 알아냈다. 여러 값의 매개변수를 적용하여 시스템의 응답거동에 미치는 영향을 알아냈으며, 매개변수지도를 통하여 응답거동의 영역을 확인하였다.

On the characteristics of the motion and the mooring force of a mid-layer type floating structure in waves

  • In this study experiments are conducted with a mid-layer type structure. This structure can operate not only at water surface but also in water. Six degrees of freedom oscillations of the structure and mooring force were measured by model experiments. From these experiments, it was shown that the lattice model has two peaks in the surge response curve and the oscillation amplitude and mooring forces increase according to the distance of separation between water level and upper deck.

대형 선박의 계류한계에 대한 연구 (A Study on Mooring Limit Analysis of Large Ship)

  • This study is aiming to find one of working conditions for loading and unloading a large ship at game port. Firstly, for dynamic analysis of the moored ships, the motion characteristics of ship according to loading condition are figured out. The motion characteristics of ship is related to environmental factors such as current, wind, mooring line, fender and etc. As a result, it is ascertained through numerical simulation using the AQUA MARINE developed by ANSYS INC. This study might contribute to make a new method of mooring stability of target ship.

원심모형실험을 이용한 모래지반에 관입된 계류선 거동 평가 (Evaluation of Behaviors on Mooring Line Embedded in Sand Using Centrifuge Test)

  • When an anchor penetrates and is installed under a seabed, a portion of the mooring line connected to the anchor is also embedded under the seabed. This embedded mooring line affects the capacity of the anchor in two ways. First, the frictional resistance that occurs between the mooring line and the seabed reduces the pulling force acting on the anchor. Second, the embedded part of the mooring line forms a reverse catenary shape due to the bearing resistance of the soil, so that an inclined pulling force is applied to the anchor. To evaluate the mooring line's effect on the capacity of an anchor in sand, centrifuge model tests were performed using two relative sand densities of 76% and 51% while changing the anchor depths. The test results showed that the load is reduced much more in deep and dense sand, and the inclination angle of the load is lower in shallow and loose sand.

OPB/IPB를 고려한 계류체인의 비선형 수치해석 (Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis for Mooring Chain Considering OPB/IPB)

  • The design of the mooring line to maintain the position of an offshore structure in rough marine environments is recognized as a very important consideration. Conventional fatigue evaluation of a mooring line was performed by considering the tensile force acting on the mooring line, but the mooring line broke after 238 days in the girassol area even though the expected fatigue life was expected to be longer. The causes of this event are known to be due to OPB/IPB (out-of-plane bending/in-plane bending) caused by chain link friction due to the excessive tensile strength of the mooring line. In this study, three models with different boundary conditions were proposed for fatigue analysis of a mooring line considering OPB/IPB. Interlink stiffness was calculated by nonlinear structure analysis and a stress concentration factor was derived. In addition, the sensitivity of interlink stiffness according to the magnitude of tensile force, large deformation effect, and coefficient of friction was analyzed, and the effect of critical elastic slip and bending moment calculation position on interlink stiffness was confirmed.

선박 접안용 계선주의 안전 강성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Safety Stiffness from Ship's Mooring Bollards)

  • 계선주는 선박이 계류삭을 고박함으로써 항만의 부두에 계류를 시행할 수 있도록 하는 필수적인 항만의 시설물로서, 부두에 설치되는 계선주는 국내의 항만 및 어항설계기준에서 제시하는 설치 규모와 개수, 재질 및 배치 형상에 따라 설치되고 있다. 그러나 우리나라에서는 선박의 접안 안전성 확보를 위한 계선주의 사용을 위한 관리 기준이 마련되지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 선박이 부두에 접안 중 계선주에 작용하는 견인력을 포함한 계선주 관련 설계기준을 조사하고, 국내에 현재 설치되는 계선주의 규격별 상세 제원 조사를 토대로 견인력에 따른 선박의 접안 안전성 확보를 위한 계선주의 성능을 분석하였다. 계선주 성능 분석은 견인력에 따른 작용력을 수평방향과 수직방향으로 나누어 각각의 작용력에 의해 계선주에 작용하는 각각의 응력으로 구분하여 평가하였다. 국내 계선주에 대한 성능 평가를 위해 상세 제원조사 결과를 바탕으로 한계 강도 245Mpa을 산출하고 각각의 응력과 비교하여 적정성 평가를 시행하고 한계 성능에 도달하는 제원을 산출하였으며 산출 결과 현재 국내에 설치되는 계선주에 규격별 견인력에 따른 작용 응력은 최소 150Mpa 이하로 산출되어 한계 강도의 60% 수준으로 성능을 만족한 것으로 평가되었다. 향후 이러한 계선주 상세 제원에 따른 성능 평가 방법은 계선주 제원에 따른 부두에 접안하는 선박에 대한 계선주의 적정성 및 사용에 따른 계선주 상세 제원 변화에 대한 관리 기준 개발에도 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

초대형 부유식 구조물의 돌핀-펜더계류시스템에 관한 실험연구 (Experimental Study on a Dolphin-Fender Mooring System for Pontoon-Type Structure)

  • in this paper a dolphin-fender moored pontoon-type floating structure in shallow water depth is studied focusing on mooring force. The pontoon-type floating structure is 500m long, 300m wide. The structure has partially non-uniform drafts of 2.0m and 3.0m. The employed mooring system is a guyed frame type dolphin-fender system. The 1/125 scale model fender system is made of rubber tube to have hi-linear load deflection characteristics. A series of model tests has been conducted focusing on motion and fender force responses in regular and irregular waves at KRISO's ocean engineering basin Non-linear numerical simulation of fender reaction force has been carried out and the results are compared with those of model tests. The simulated rigid body motion and mooring forces also have been compared with the test results.

A Study on Loading Arm Envelope and Alarm Setting according to Ship Movement

  • This study was carried using the new approach method to design appropriately the Loading Arm length and the alarm setting according to ship movements on Loading and Unloading marine Berth. The quasi-static mooring analysis was performed to estimate 110,000DWT ship's movements based on environmental conditions such as wind, current and wave. The mooring motion of the ship is very important to determine the loading arm scope, and in this case, the operation condition is performed on the ship without considering the damaged condition of the mooring line because the ship movement in case of damage is larger than intact, and all operations are stopped, the loading arm being released due to control system. From the result of mooring analysis, motion displacements, velocities and accelerations were simulated. They were used to simulate the maximum drifting speeds and distances. The maximum drifting speeds were checked to be satisfied within drifting speed limits. The total maximum drifting distances were simulated with alarm steps of the new approach method. Finally, the loading arm envelopes using the total maximum drifting distances were completed. Therefore, it was confirmed that the new approach method for loading arm envelopes and alarm settings was appropriate from the above results. In the future, it will be necessary to perform the further advanced dynamic mooring analysis instead of the quasi-static mooring analysis and to use the precise computer program analysis for various environments and ship movement conditions.

Identification of Impact Factors in Ship-to-Ship Mooring Through Sensitivity Analysis

  • With the recent increase in the volume of liquid cargo transportation, there is a need for STS( Ship To Ship) globally. In the case of the STS mooring, the safety assessment should be conducted according to other criteria because mooring is different from the general mooring at the quay, but there is no separate standard in Korea. Thus in this study, STS mooring simulation and sensitivity analysis using OPTIMOOR program, the numerical analysis program, was conducted to identify the characteristics of the STS mooring. The target sea modeled the Yeosu port anchorage in Korea and the target ship was selected as the case of VLCC (Very Large Crude Oil Carrier)-VLCC. Through the numerical simulation and sensitivity analysis, the characteristics of STS mooring were identified. Also based on these results, we focused on establishing the standard for STS mooring safety assessment. Numerical simulation results show that the STS mooring safety can be changed according to a ship's cargo loading condition, pre-tension of mooring line, sea depth, encounter angle with the weather, and the weather condition. Additionally, the risk matrix is prepared to establish the safe external force range in the corresponding sea area. This result can be used to understand the mooring characteristics of STS and contribute to the revision of mooring safety assessment criteria.

부 타이어 소파제의 정적 장력 해석 방법 (Static Tension Analysis Method for Floating Tire Breakwater)

  • This paper deals with static tension analysis method for Floating Tire Breakwater(FTB). FTB can be used for the limited wave height. It is especially focused on Goodyear type FTB easily applied to the breakwater for the fisheries cultivating region. The numerical examples for FTB design procedure was reviewed. It is also studied the static analysis method of offshore catenary spread mooring system. The general calculation procedure for the tension versus excursion curves for the multi-line system using the basic catenary relationship was studied. Calculation results showed good agreement with some existing mooring results. To extend this mooring force calculating method to the floating fisheries caitivating cages, the strength of synthetic fiber was considered. This analysis method can be used to the estimation of the mooring force for the floating structures such as floating breakwaters and floating artificial reefs.
