In conclusion, married daughter's consciousness and performance of household work were significantly influenced by their mothers. It was especially so in daughter's usage level of hoe equipments. Accordingly, the results of this study support the existence of generational transmission of household work from mothers to their married daughters with regard to its consciousness and performance. Findings of this study have implications for counsellors, practitioners and educators.
Purpose: This study was carried out to accumulate basic data for nursing intervention development by evaluating the stress and emotional status of patients and their families after receiving hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), illucidating and analysing related factors in order to decrease the negative effects of HSCT on their emotion. Methods: Data were collected using a questionnaire to 53 HSCT patients and 50 families, who were older than 18 at tertiary-care institutions in Seoul, from January, 2000 to August, 2003. Results: There was a significant score difference in stress (t=-2.302, P<0.05). Correlation between stress and emotional status was statistically significant (r=0.486, P<0.01; r=0, P<0.05). Economical burden of cost had significant effects on stress of patients (F=4.194, P<0.05). The series of emotional status of patients without jobs were higher (T=-2.583, P<0.05). The emotional status of families were influenced by monthly income (F=4.036, P<0.05) and patients' diagnosis (F=3.088, P<0.05). Conclusion : These results suggest that the cares for families should be considered with great concern as well as the ones for patients. In addition, such factors as economical burden by medical cost, monthly income and job status should not be excluded in transplantation nursing plans.
The purpose of this study was to investigate health promoting life-style(HPLS) and its predictors by menstrual status among middle-aged women. The HPLS was conceptualized to have six domains such as self-actualization, responsibility for health, nutrition, exercise, interpersonal relationships, and stress control. Those predictors included three sociodemographic factors and five cognitive factors. Menstrual status was classified into three stages : regular menstrual(premenopausal), menopausal, and postmenopausal stages. Data were collected from 240 women between 30 and 59 years through self-reported questionnaires. Chi-square test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression techniques were used to analyze the data. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The HPLS activities, when aggregated, were not statistically different across the three groups. The activities of the domains of interpersonal relationships and self-actualization were higher then those of other domains. On the other hand, the activities of the domains of exercise and responsibility for health were lower than those of the other domains. 2. The predictors explained 27.2%, 43.8%, and 41.6% of the variance of HPLS in the regular menstrual, the menopausal, and the postmenopausal groups, respectively. 3. In the regular menstrual group, total HPLS was significantly predicted by monthly income, family support, number of family members and education level at the .05 level in the HPLS. 4. In the menopausal group was significantly predicted by self efficacy. 5. The HPLS activities of the postmenopausal group were significantly predicted by family support, self efficacy, and monthly income at the .05 level in the HPLS.

The aim of this study is to verify the difference in the level of happiness and preparation for old age according to the general characteristics of senior welfare center attendees. The subjects of the study were 148 attendees of OO senior welfare center in Seoul and a survey was conducted from July 4 to October 7, 2016. The method of analysis was by using the SPSSWIN 18.0 program, a 5% level of significance was verified in a frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that first, from investigating the difference in the level of preparation for old age according to general characteristics, there was a significant difference according to age, occupation, monthly income, and physical condition but there was no significant difference according to gender and level of education. Second, as a result of observing the difference in the level of happiness according to general characteristics, although there was a significant difference according to occupation and monthly income, the difference level according to gender, age, level of education, health condition was less than a 5% level of significance. Third, from observing the correlation between the level of happiness and preparation of old age, it was found that happiness was positively correlated to preparation for old age in the following order: physical preparation for old age ((r=.576, p<.001), economic preparation for old age (r=.570, p<.001), psychological preparation for old age (r=.526, p<.001), social preparation for old age (r=.525, p<.001). It is forecasted that this study will be used as base line data for improvement of happiness and preparation for old age for the elderly according to general characteristics.
The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the baby boom generation's preparation for old age, and based on that, it will provide foundational data to improve the baby boom generation's preparation for life in old age. According to the study results, with regard to their socio-demographic characteristics, their sex, age, health conditions, average monthly income, attitudes to old age, and anxiety about aging may have significant effects on their preparation for old age. In other words, the degree of preparation for old age is higher in women than men, those who are older, those having better health conditions, those with higher average monthly income, and those with better attitudes to old age, and those whose anxiety about aging is lower. Based on the above study results, the paper intends to make the following political suggestions: first, it is needed to develop preparation for old age services appropriately for each generation's needs and characteristics in consideration of their socio-demographic characteristics. Second, it is necessary to provide education for preparation for life in old age by steps and change their consciousness to enhance their attitudes to old age. Third, it is needed to develop and distribute a variety of mental health programs that can lower their anxiety about aging.
The purpose of this study was to derive the impact factors through multi-return analysis by dividing the satisfaction level of the users of the Food Bank into service satisfaction, food satisfaction, and facility and environment satisfaction and then present a plan for improving service quality. As a result, first of all, the analysis shows that the service satisfaction was not statistically significant. Second, the satisfaction level of food was higher when they get cooked food and when the frequency of support was low. It can be interpreted as important to users to properly solve the problem of fasting through cooked food rather than the frequency of food provision. Third, the satisfaction level of the facility and environment was higher for those with higher educational background, lower monthly income, and higher food expenditure after the support. Users with high educational background value information, service hours, facilities and environment hygiene, and users with low monthly income and high food expenditure even after receiving support can infer the need for food bank services to solve the problem of fasting. Based on these findings, it emphasized the need to develop user-centered services so that the problem of fasting could be effectively resolved in consideration of the conditions of service users.
The purpose of this study was to describe the levels of market goods substitution of housework and find out the determinants on it in the domain of food among married female home-based workers. The data were collected from 169 married female home-based workers in Pusan and Kyungnam province, by self-administered questionnaires. Frequencies, percentiles, Cronbach's alpha, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. In the convenience foods, frozen foods had the highest substitution level, whereas prepared stew had the lowest. The substitution level of Korean traditional storage foods was the middle. And in dining-out service, the substitution level was mostly high: the level of delivery service was higher than that of dining-out. Compared to the previous research, these results showed that market goods substitution tended to increase, and its level in the domain of food will promote continually over time. The variables affecting the substitution level of convenience food were the number of family members, occupation, the existence of elderly/disabled person in the family, sex-role attitude, and weekly hours at home-based work. The substitution level of Korean traditional storage foods was influenced by sex-role attitude, occupation, education, monthly household income, and the existence of elderly/disabled person in the family. The significant variables affecting the substitution level of dining-out service were weekly hours at home-based work, the number of family members, occupation, monthly household income, education, and sex-role attitude.
