The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the permenent pleats finish on the cystine contents and the physical properties of wool fabrics. Monoethanolamine Sulfite (MEAS) was used as a reducing agent. Cystine contents of the fabrics were determined after the fabric was treated with various MEAS concentrations and steamset time. The cystine contents were increase as the MEAS concentrations were increased. The cystine contents were also increased with steamset time. As the settability showed close relationship with the cystine contents, breakdown and rebuilding of the cystine linkage was thought to play an important role for the settability. Physical properties such as shrink resistance, crease recovery angle and tensile strength were increased as the MEAS concentration was increased. As the stramset time was increased, shrink resistance and crease recovery angle were in creased.

The reaction rate of $CO_2$ with 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP), MEA monoethanolamine(MEA) and diethanolamine (DEA) in aqueous solutions has been determined using a stirred vessel with a plane gas-liquid interface over a wide range of concentrations of amines at different temperatures. The results show that the overall reaction rate is first order with respect to both $CO_2$ and amine. The reaction rate constant varies with temperature according to the relationship which agrees with the experimental data. The proposed interpretation is that the kinetic rate determining step is a reaction of $CO_2$ with amine to form carbamic acid which is then totally and immediately ionized.

Rates of chemical absorption of $CO_2$ in water-in-oil (w/o) emulsion were measured in a flat-stirred vessel at $25^{\circ}C$. The w/o emulsion was composed of aqueous monoethanolamine (MEA) droplets as a dispersed phase and non-Newtonian viscoelastic benzene solutions of polybutene (PB) and polyisobutylene (PIB) as a continuous phase. The liquid-side-mass transfer coefficient ($k_L$) was obtained from the dimensionless empirical equation containing Deborah number expressed as the properties of pseudoplasticity of the non-Newtonian liquid. $k_L$ was used to estimate the enhancement factor due to chemical reaction between $CO_2$ and MEA in the aqueous phase. PIB with elastic property of non-Newtonian liquid made the rate of chemical absorption of $CO_2$ accelerate compared with Newtonian liquid.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of salt formation on the percutaneous absorption of meloxicam through hairless mouse skin from a pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) matrix. In addition, the influences of enhancers on the permeation of meloxicam or meloxicam-ethanolamine (MX-EA) salts across the hairless mouse skin were evaluated using a flow-through diffusion cell system. The salt formation of meloxicam resulted in lower permeation rate than the parent drug. $Span^{(R)}$ 80 provided the highest enhancing effect for meloxicam and meloxicam monoethanolamine salt. The maximum amount of the drug that can be loaded without retarding permeation rate was different depending on the compound. No relationship was found between the fluxes of meloxicam or MX-EA salts from saturated solutions and those from PSA matrices containing the same enhancer.
The Purpose of this study was to investigate the color changes of acid dyed wool fabrics after imparting permanent pleats with si-ro-set finish. Monoethanolamine sulfite was used as a reducing agent. Color changes were determined by measuring CIELAB values after treating the dyed fabrics with various setting temperatures, times and concentrations of MEAS. Setting temperature affected the color changes: in the order of $150^{\circ}C>130^{\circ}C>170^{\circ}C$ Setting time had a tendency to increase the color change. As the concentration of MEAS increased, $\delta$ E was increased. Azo dye was more affected than anthraquinone dye by MEAS treatment. Color changes were mainly due to $\delta$ L.
The major cause of paper deterioration is the acid-catalyzed hydrolysis of the cellulose in paper fibres. The deacidification of paper reduced the rate of this deterioration, and it has been reported to extend the useful life of acidic paper by three to five times. It has been recognized the need for an effective method of deacidifying large quantities of books and documents. T도 review of the current state of deacidification technology has been published recently. The paper points to the immediate need for a cost-effective and reliable method to save the millions of books that prish every year. It was tried to deacidify by the gaseous ethanolamine for solving with the above the problem. Acidic paper was treated with the monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triehtanolamine. It result, it was found that the rate of deacidification was in caused very little grightness and fold endurances. For solving this problem, it was carried with deacidify by combination treatment of the various gaseous ehtnaloamines. In result, decreasing of brightness and fold endurance is reduced.
The effects of brightness, electrochemical behaviour on the organic additives, such as aldehydes, polymers, amines and condensed product obtained from epichlorohydrin and nicotinamide, in cyanide zinc electrolplating bath have been studied by controlled potential electrolyser. The results were summerized as follows: (1) It was found that the addition of only one compound of these organic compounds in the bath was unsuitable but mixture of anisaldehyde or monoethanolamine and condensed product as suitable as brightener. (2) The cathodic polarization curve of polymers or aldehydes in cyanide zinc electroplating bath was almost the same but the cathodic polarization curve of condensed product remarkable shifted to noble potential more than non-additive curve.
To improve the growth of mouse hybridoma 2c3.1 secreting anti-Hepatitis B surface antigen monoclonal antibody (anti-HBsAg MAb), we had constructed an enriched medium and observed the effects of fetal bovine serum and serum-free supplements including human serum albumin, 'insulin and transferrin', and monoethanolamine. For further enhancement of growth, the concentrations of two major energy sources, glucose and glutamine, were strengthened with various ratios in the enriched medium. Maximum cell growth and monoclonal antibody production obtained in various ratios of glucose/glutamine with an inoculation concentration of 2$\times$105 cells/ml were 0.73$\times$106-4.62$\times$106 cells/ml and 65.1-422.6 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ml, respectively. Glutamine was round to be a major energy source and a limiting nutrient in comparison to glucose for 2c3.1 cell cultivation in enriched media with low serum.
