PBI 공중합체를 이용한 알카라인 연료전지용 음이온교환막의 합성과 이온전도특성 (Synthesis and Ion Conducting Properties of Anion Exchange Membranes Based on PBI Copolymers for Alkaline Fuel Cells)

  • 기존 고분자전해질연료전지(PEMFC)의 단점을 극복하기 위해 고체전해질 알카라인연료전지(SAMFC)가 근래에 많이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 술폰화 폴리벤지이미다졸(PBI) 유도체를 이용하여 SAMFC용 막을 제조하였다. 술폰화 폴리벤지이미다졸 유도체는 KOH에 의해 쉽게 도핑되고 도핑된 막은 높은 $OH^-$의 전도도와 기계적 강도를 보였다. 특히 sPBI-co-PBI (술폰화 PBI : 비술폰화 PBI = 75 : 25)의 경우, $90^{\circ}C$ 100% 상대습도 하에서 $2.98{\times}10^{-2}\;S/cm$의 높은 $OH^-$의 전도도를 보였다.

  • Dental caries, one of the most frequent dental disease, become larger because it can be thought as a simple disease. Further more, it can progress to unexpected root canal therapy with fabrication of crown that needs reduction of tooth structure. Base is required in a large caries and ZOE, ZPC, glass ionomer are used frequently as base material. They, with restorative material, can affect the longevity of the restoration. In this study, we assume that the mandibular 1st molar has deep class I cavity. So, installing the 3 base material, 3 kinds of fillings were restored over the base as follows; 1) amalgam only, 2) amalgam with ZPC, 3) amalgam with ZOE, 4) amalgam with GI cement, 5) gold inlay with ZPC, 6) gold inlay with GI cement, 7) composite resin only, 8) composite resin with GI cement. After develop the 3-dimensional model for finite element analysis, we observe the distribution of stress and temperature with force of 500N to apical direction at 3 point on occlusal surface and temperature of 55 degree, 15 degree on entire surface. The analyzed results were as follow : 1. Principal stress produced at the interface of base, dentin, cavity wall was smallest in case of using GI cement as base material under the amalgam. 2. Principal stress produced at the interface of base, dentin, cavity wall was smaller in case of using GI cement as a base material than ZPC under gold inlay. 3. Composite resin-filled tooth showed stress distributed over entire tooth structure. In other words, there was little concentration of stress. 4. ZOE was the most effective base material against hot stimuli under the amalgam and GI cement was the next. In case of gold inlay, GI cement was more effective than ZPC. 5. Composite resin has the small coefficient of thermal conductivity. So, composite resin filling is the most effective insulating material.

수용액상 계면활성제의 임계 미셀 농도에 대한 N-methyl acetamide의 영향 (Effect of N-Methyl Acetamide on the Critical Micelle Concentration of Aqueous Solutions of Some Surfactants)

  • 다양한 농도의 N-methyl acetamide 수용액에서 계면 활성제의 농도에 따른 계면활성제들 (sodium caprylate, sodium laurate, sodium palmitate, sodium stearate, sodium oleate, sodium dodecyl sulphate, lithium dodecyl sulphate)의 몰 전도도 변화를 $30{\pm}0.2^{\circ}C$의 일정온도에서 연구하였다. 각각의 계면활성제에 대한 임계 미셀 농도 (CMC)를 측정하였다. 수용액에 N-methyl acetamide이 공존할 때에는 여러 계면 활성제의 CMC 값이 수용액에서의 CMC 값보다 더 낮고, 미셀 형성에 대한 추진력은 소용매성과 관련되었다. N-methyl acetamide 수용액에서 양쪽성 자기-조직화를 추진하는 계면활성제-용매의 상호작용에 대해 논의하였다. 이 결과들을 설명하기 위하여 미셀 시스템에 대한 열역학적 매개변수들을 추정하였다.

Antibacterial and Antifungal Studies on Some Schiff Base Complexes of Zinc(II)

  • Two Schiff base ligands $L_1\;and\;L_2$ were obtained by the condensation of glycylglycine respectively with imidazole-2-carboxaldehyde and indole-3-carboxaldehyde and their complexes with Zn(II) were prepared and characterized by microanalytical, conductivity measurement, IR, UV-Vis., XRD and SEM. The molar conductance measurement indicates that the Zn(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes. The IR data demonstrate the tetradentate binding of $L_1$ and tridentate binding of $L_2$. The XRD data show that Zn(II) complexes with $L_1\;and\;L_2$ have the crystallite sizes of 53 and 61 nm respectively. The surface morphology of the complexes was studied using SEM. The in vitro biological screening effects of the investigated compounds were tested against the bacterial species Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumaniae, Proteus vulgaris and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and fungal species Aspergillus niger, Rhizopus stolonifer, Aspergillus flavus, Rhizoctonia bataicola and Candida albicans by the disc diffusion method. A comparative study of inhibition values of the Schiff base ligands and their complexes indicates that the complexes exhibit higher antimicrobial activity than the free ligands. Zinc ions are proven to be essential for the growth-inhibitor effect. The extent of inhibition appeared to be strongly dependent on the initial cell density and on the growth medium.

철 (III)-옥살산 착물의 합성과 규명에 관한 연구 (Synthesis and Characterization of Oxalatoferrate (III) Complexes)

  • 사면체 구조를 갖는 철(III)-옥살산 착화합물 5개와 팔면체 구조를 갖는 착화합물을 3개를 합성한 후 화학분석과 적외선스펙트럼을 이용하여 이들 착이온의 구조에 관하여 연구하였다. 이들중 $[FeC_2O_4Br_2]^-,$ $[FeC_2O_4(NCS)_4]^{3-}$$[Fe_2(C_2O_4)_3Cl_4]^{4-}$등의 3개의 피리딘염은 아직 보고되지 않은 새로운 착물이며, 특히 이합체로 생각되는 착물 $(PyH)_4[Fe_2(C_2O_4)_3Cl_4]$는 광화학 반응성이 아주 큼을 알 수 있었다. 이들 여러 철(III)-옥살산 착물의 물전기전도도와 자기화율에 관한 측정결과도 함께 보고하였다.

Synthesis, Spectral, Characterization, DFT and Biological Studies of New 3-[(3-Chlorophenyl)-hydrazono]-pentane-2,4-dione Metal Complexes

  • A new series of metal complexes of V(IV), Pd(II), Pt(IV), Ce(IV) and U(VI) with 3-[(3-chlorophenyl)-hydrazono]-pentane-2,4-dione (Cphpd) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, magnetic moment measurements, UV-vis, FT-IR and $^1H$ NMR as well as TG-DTG techniques. The data indicated that the Cphpd acts as a bidentate ligand through the hydrazono nitrogen and one keto oxygen. The kinetic parameters have been evaluated by using Coats Redfern (CR) and Horowitz-Metzeger (HM) methods. The thermodynamic data reflected the thermal stability for all complexes. The calculated bond length and the bond stretching force constant, F(U=O), values for $UO_2$ bond are $0.775{\AA}$ and $286.95Nm^{-1}$. The bond lengths, bond angles, dipole moment and the lowest energy model structure of the complexes have been determined with DFT calculations. The antimicrobial activity of the synthesized ligand and its complexes were screened.

피페리딘 디티오카바메이트의 구리(II)의 착물합성과 분석적 응용 (Synthesis and Analytical Application of Piperidine Dithiocarbamate Complex of Copper(II))

  • 구리(II)이온과 피페리딘 디티오카바메이트(Pipdtc)의 반응에서[$Cu(Pipdtc)_2$]를 합성하였다. 이 착물은 디메틸포름아미드, 디메틸술폭시드의 극성 유기용매에 잘 녹는다. 원소분석, 몰전도도, 적외선 흡수스펙트럼, 전자흡수스펙트럼 및 핵자기공명스펙트럼에서 부터 평면 사각형의 구조를 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 수용액에서 부터 사염화탄소에 의한 Cu(II)-Pipdtc착물의 추출은 pH가 6.0~10범위에서 이루어졌다. 구리(II)의 피페리딘 디티오카바메이트 용액은 pH 9.0에서 ${\sim}8.0{\times}10^{-5}M$까지 Beer의 법칙에 따랐다.

인지질-비이온계면활성제 혼합물로 형성된 나노에멀젼과 이의 안정성 (Nano-emulsion Formed with Phospholipid-Nonionic Surfactant Mixtures and its Stability)

  • 본 연구에서는 인지질-비이온계면활성제의 혼합계면활성제를 이용하여 옥틸도데실미리스테이트를 조성상전이 유화법으로 O/W 타입 나노에멀젼을 제조하였다. 혼합 계면활성제와 오일의 농도 비가 1 : 1 정도의 매우 좁은 영역에서 나노에멀젼이 형성되었다. 비이온계면활성제로만 제조된 나노에멀젼과는 달리 전상점 이후에 수용액상을 첨가함에 따라 에멀젼의 입자 크기가 감소하였다. 제조된 나노에멀젼은 실온에서 한 달 이상 안정하였다. 인지질을 함유하고 저에너지 유화법으로 제조된 나노에멀젼 제형은 화장품의 기재로서 널리 사용될 수 있다.

  • 산소, 질소, 그리고 황 주개 원자의 이염기성 세자리 리간드로서 S-methyl-3(-2-hydroxy-x-phenyl)methylenedithiocarbazate($L^1:x=5-H$)와 그 유도체($L^2:x=5-CH_3,\;L^3:x=3CH_3O,\;L_4:x=5,6-C_4H_4\; 그리고\;x^5:ㅌ=5-NO_2$)의 6-배위 몰리브덴(V)-산소 착물, ($R_4N$)[MoO(NCS)_2L](R=CH_3,\;C_3H_5,\;n-C_4H_9)$들을 합성하고 원소분석, 몰 전도도, UV-Vis, IR, $1^H$ NMR 그리고 CV 등을 이용하여 착물의 구조와 분광학적 및 전기화학적 성질 등을 조사하였다.

Synthesis, spectral, thermal, structural study and theoretical treatment of new complexes of mannich base with Ni(II) and study of cytotoxicity effect on (Hepa-2) cell line and antimicrobial activity

  • The synthesis of the Mannich base as a ligand (L) N-(morpholino (phenyl) methyl) acetamide is the subject of this study. Elemental analyses, FT-IR spectra, UV-vis, 1H-NMR, and magnetic measurements were used to confirm the synthesis of the [Ni(L)2]Cl2 complex, thermal analysis (TG/DTG), atomic absorption, and scanning, and structurally explained as electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) methods. The melting point of the complex and its molar conductivity were also measured. The suggested geometries of the complexes formed have a tetrahedral structure, according to the data acquired using various techniques. Theoretical approaches to the complex formation have been investigated. For molecular mechanics and semi-empirical calculations, the HYPERCHEM6 program had been used. The effect of the novel Ni(II) complex on the cancer cell Hepa-2 (human hepatocellular ademocarcinoma), that is the human laryngeal cancer, was studied. It has been found that these ligand and complex have potent effects on the cancer cell. The antibacterial activity of the free ligand and its complex was evaluated against two kinds of human pathogenic bacteria. The first category is Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureas, epiderimids), whereas the second group is Gram-negative (Psedamonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli) (from the diffusion method). Finally, it was discovered that various chemicals had varied growth-inhibiting effects on bacteria.
