  • The area including outside of Mokpogu has not been routed for a fairway, and PTMS(Port Traffic Management Service) did not carried out south of Sihado. So there are many dangerous elements because some fairways are crossed. In this paper, we proposed a fairway which is designed with expert group's knowledge for safety navigation in the area and marine transportation environment and domestic and foreign route design standard.

  • Seaports play a vital role in the economic development of countries, especially for countries having long coastlines such as Vietnam Seaport industry in Vietnam has witnessed an impressive development in recent years. The national cargo throughput in the period 2013-2017 achieved a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.8%/year, higher than that of the world (5.1%). However, the differences in planning policies and infrastructure systems has led to the differences in port performance efficiency of regional ports. Therefore, it is necessary to have a general and accurate view of the picture of Vietnam's seaport. The objective of this study was to analyze the relative efficiencies of 26 Vietnam container terminals using traditional output-oriented CCR and BCC DEA model. Malmquist P roductivity Index (MP I) was also applied to evaluate changes in container terminals productivity over time.

Effective Detecting Method of Nmap Idle Scan

  • In recent years, information collection of attacks through stealth port scanning technology has become more sophisticated. The most commonly used Nmap port scanner supports a variety of stealth scanning technologies along with the existing scanning techniques. Nmap also supports Idle scan that is different from conventional stealth scans. This is a more sophisticated stealth scan technique by applying the SYN scan and ACK scan techniques. In previous studies, the detection of Idle scanning was on zombie system, but was not on victim system. In this paper, we propose an effective detection method of Idle scan on victim system. The Idle scanning is composed of two stages; they are probing the zombie and victim system and scanning the victim system. We analyzed the characteristics of the two stages. The characteristics, we captured, are that SYN and RST packets are different from normal packet. We applied them to detection method, then Idle scanning is detected effectively.

Design of Global Port Logistics Network Model Based on Minimum Cost (최소비용 기반 글로벌 항만 물류네트워크 모델 구축)

  • This study is aimed to contribute in establishing new port policy by research and analysis in design of global port logistics network in the East Asia region. In order to build such port logistics network, 21 ports located in East Asia among the world's 50th largest ports were selected in this study. Furthermore, the amount of container cargo and the ports of call were analyzed to categorize the subject ports in East Asia. Finally, this study tries to find economic network between the base port in East Asia, EU or North America and feeder ports in terms of logistics cost. As a result, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Busan ports were found as the representative ports in the East Asia that may connect North America and Europe with the minimum logistics expenses. Therefore, to maintain the stable cargo volume in ports, Korea should promote not only the overseas terminal operation which links to the Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai ports, but also establish the global port logistic network connecting the Busan port.

  • This paper proposes an analysis to image of Inchon port using fuzzy theory. After analysis, positive opinion is mean membership function 0.73 and positive membership function 0.27, negative opinion is mean membership function 0.69, negative membership function 0.31 about Inchon port development. therefore, for port development need to accomodation of each opinion positive opinion is maximum decrease from 20 age to 30 age. and negative opinion is maximum increase from 10 age to 20 age. According to the results, port development need to high positive image as leisure and development of waterfront and low negative image as integrated port management and strategy of considered environment port.

Simulation of Inundation at Mokpo City Using a Coupled Tide-Surge Model (조석-해일 결합모형을 이용한 목포시 범람 모의)

  • A coupled tide-surge model, which has been evaluated the utility in the previous study, is applied for simulating the inundation phenomena. The coupled model system adopts the hydrodynamic module of MIKE21 software, and the study area is identical to the previous study. The only difference is additional detailed areas for simulating inundation. An artificial scenario of a virtual typhoon striking Mokpo coastal zone at spring high tide is simulated. Then the calculated water level corresponds to the extreme high water level(556 cm) for 100 year return period. The result also shows the inundation depth is 50~100 cm not only near the Mokpo Inner Port but also near the Mokpo North Port. Finally, the coastal inundation prediction map is drawn on the basis of inundation simulation results.

  • This paper describes two kinds of personal hand-held electronic devices to support marine leisure safety. The one is Radar response-type safety device triggering by the pulse signal from a commercial 9GHz-band Radar to provide quick search and rescue with combined civilian-government-military fleets. The other one is M-RFID (Marine Radio Frequency IDentification) based safety electronic device using 900MHz Tx/Rx with spread spectrum frequency hopping and GPS. Through the field tests at sea using Korea Coast Guard's warship the operating performances are verified. Further plan for practical use of each device was also discussed.

  • In this paper, we study the stabilization control if an underwater vehicle from its initial posture to its desired one. We assume tint the underwater vehicle has velocity constraint, i.e. it has no velocity component for some direction. Our approach is based on the nonholonomic system which am derived from velocity constraints that cannot integrable. We proposed a control strategy for posture control of the underwater vehicle using multi-rate digital control. The proposed control scheme is applied to the berthing control if an underwater vehicle and verified the effectiveness if control strategy by numerical simulation.

  • This paper deals with ship's track keeping methods which is crucial part of automatic navigation control systems. In this paper, we mainly discuss the performance of different guidance methods including way point guidance, enclosure-based steering guidance and lookahead-based steering guidance system. As a controller, a PID control system is employed to control ship's rudder angle during track-keeping. Finally, the performance of three methods are discussed through some simulation results.
