To explore the optimal conditions for the removal of $H_{2}S$ gas by biofiltration, various conditions, including inlet $H_{2}S$ concentration, flow rate, moisture, and cell number, were examined. Heterotrophic bacteria were isolated from the compost of the animal excreta. A strain that effectively removed $H_{2}S$ was selected and identified as Rhodococcus rhodochrous B261 by analysis of its 16S rDNA sequence. A cell number of $10^{7}\;cfu/g^{-}compost$ was sufficient to dominate the microbiota, and an effective removal was observed at $H_{2}S$ gas concentrations below 220 mg/L. The moisture content of 33-38% was suitable for activation of the microbial activity and delaying the desiccation. Higher flow rates resulted in lower removal rates of the $H_{2}S$ gas. Under the conditions of $10^7\;cfu/g^{-}compost$, $H_{2}S$ gas concentrations of 220 mg/L, and moisture content of 33-38%, the inlet $H_{2}S$ gas concentrations of 120 and 400 mg/L were completely removed for 34 and 12 days, respectively. The amount of sulfur removed was $2.99{\times}10^{-9}H_{2}S-S/cell$, which was suggested as the amount of sulfur removed by a single cell. The biofilter consisting of the compost and R. rhodochrous B261 could be suitable for a long-term biofilteration for the removal of $H_{2}S$ and other malodorous compounds.
SAR image is not dependent on the weather condition and Sun's electromagnetic energy. But geometric distortions exist in almost all radar image, it need to be correction. The Radarsat-1 SAR images are used to monitoring of moisture acquired in May 1/1998 and May 25/1998. Radarsat-1 C band data is sensitive on moisture condition. Study area is located in Non-san site. It is made up almost agricultural area and a little of forest area. In May, Rice-planting is started in the midland of Korea. So moisture condition is undergoing many changes. Forest area need to be terrain effect removal for accurately results because it is included in layover, shadow, and so on. Results of land-cover moisture condition map are useful tool for fields of agriculture, forestry industry, and disaster.

The temperature and moisture distributions in a dry room with a heat and moisture source -i.e., workers- are studied numerically by using a standard $k-\varepsilon$ turbulence model. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of heat and moisture ventilation inside the room, the heat removal capacity and the moisture exhaust efficiency are introduced. The effectiveness of ventilation control is analyzed by evaluating the temperature and humidity distributions in the room quantitatively. It is found that the mean absolute humidity inside the room is almost constant regardless of the models and the heat generation rates in this study range. This results from the fact that the moisture generation by the workers was relatively small. Through the modification of the design, 40% improvement in critical decay time was achieved.

Recently, various tourist products using hanok have increased rapidly. In the meantime, there is a steady demand for Hanok architecture. However, there are many negative perceptions about wood deformation and biodeterioration. Wood deformation and biodeterioration are related to moisture content. And the cracks occur in the process of removing water from the wood. Therefore, this study investigates the moisture content and cracks of dried hanok made of wood according to the drying method of wood. Drying methods include natural seasoning and artificial seasoning. There was a difference in moisture removal depending on drying period and method of natural seasoning. Drying time should be about 3 years for natural seasoning, so the moisture content of the wood is stable. In addition, the moisture absorption rate was low even in a humid environment where the voids were removed. However, natural seasoning is time consuming. Artificial seasoning, on the other hand, can quickly remove moisture from the wood and reduce porosity, but it is costly. Cracks that occur during the drying of wood may become problematic in appearance and stability due to wider spacing over time. As a result, the difference in the moisture content of the timber depending on the drying method and drying period of the wood was maintained even after the formation. These gaps appeared to be differences in moisture absorption in a wet environment.

Recently, bridge deck overlay with latex modified concrete is widely applied in domestic. the capacity of bridge deck overlay depends on bond state on the surface. factors that have an effect on bond state are clean condition on the surface, absence of surface microcracking, absence of laitance, overlay curing. In this study, it is researched that characteristic of bond strength according to moisture condition on the surface and the removal method of concrete. As a result, it shows high bond strength in dry condition when w/c is $31\%$ and in moisture condition when w/c is $38\%$ respectively. characteristic of bond strength according to the removal method of concrete shows high bond strength when using water-jets rather than jackhammers.
This study is conducted to experiment on the performance test for 20 types of Filter-integrated Half-masks which could not only protect workers exposed to dusty environment, but also improve workability. Results and conclusions are as follows : 1) Respirators that removal efficiency of aerosols is 95 percent or more are 11 kinds(55%), and those who are 99.9 percent or more are 4 kinds(20%). Respirators that inhalation resistance is 4 mm in water or less are 13 kinds(65%), and those who are 6 mm in water or less are 17 kinds(85%). Respirators that efficiency of cumulative inhalation resistance is 100 percent or less are 11 kinds(55%) . 2) Respirators that resistance of moisture inhalation is 6 mm in water or less are 11 kinds(55%). and those who are 10 mm in water or less are 13 kinds(65cio), Respira'tors that ratio of removal efficiency for aerosols between dry and wet conditions is 95 percent or more are 9 kinds(45%). 3) Respirators which are not only 95 percent or more for removal efficiency of aersosls and 6 mm in water or less for inhalation resistance, but also 200 percent or less for efficiency of cumulative inhalation resistance, are 8 kinds(40%). Respirators which are not only 99.9 percent or more for removal efficiency and 6 mm in water or less for inhalation resistance, but also 100 percent or less for efficiency of cumulative inhalation resistance, are 3 kinds(15%). Respirators which are not only 95 percent or more for removal efficiency of aerosols and 6 mm in water or less for inhalation resistance, but also 200 percent or less for efficiency of cumulative inhalation resistance and 10 mm in water or less for resistance of moisture inhalation, are 6 kinds(30%) . 4) As standard rrlodel of artificial human head which would be perhaps different from the true one Is used to experiment fitness test, leakage rate is shown to be more or less high. However, artificial human head shall be accurately examined and follow-up studt. would be conducted in the future.

The temperature and humidity distribution in a dry room are studied numerically by using standard$\kappa-\varepsilon$ turbulence model. In order to evaluate effective heat and moisture ventilation characteristics inside the room, the heat removal capacity and moisture exhaust efficiency are introduced. An effective ventilation control is analyzed by evaluating quantitatively temperature and humidity distributions. It was found that the mean absolute humidity inside the room was almost constant with approximately 0.1905g/kg air regardless of the models and the heat generation rates. This was believed that the moisture generation by workers was relatively small. 40% improvement of the critical decay time was achieved, through the modifications of design variables.
The liquid desiccant air-conditioning system has been proposed as an alternative to the conventional vapor compression cooling systems to control air humidity. The complete system of liquid desiccant air-conditioning system is consisted two main components those are humidifier (regeneration) and dehumidifier. Humidifier part is connected to the load when summer season which is the air condition is hot and humid have to be turned into comfort condition on human. This paper purpose is performances study of air flow rate effect on a structured packed tower on cooling and dehumidifier system using liquid lithium chloride as the desiccant. Experimental apparatus used in this present study is consisted of three components those are load chamber, packed tower and chiller. Load chamber’s volume is $40m^3$, and packed tower dimension is cubic with length 0.4m occupied with packed column. Totally, 15 experimental has done using 5 times repeat on each variable of air velocity that varying on 2m/s, 3m/s and 4m/s with other conditions are controlled. Air inlet initial temperature and relative humidity are set respectively on $30^{\circ}C$ and 52%, desiccant flow rate is 0.63 kg/s, desiccant temperature is $10^{\circ}C$ and desiccant concentration is 0.4. The result of this study shows that averagely, the moisture removal rate and the heat transfer rate are influenced by the air velocity. Higher air velocity will increase the heat transfer and decreasing the moisture removal rate. At adiabatic condition the air velocity of 2 m/s respectively is having the higher moisture removal rate acceleration then the air velocity of 3m/s and 4 m/s until the steady state condition.

As interest in lunar exploration increases, studies on lunar surface environment simulation including a lunar soil simulant are being conducted. One of the problems when creating a vacuum environment with lunar soil is that it takes long time to reach high vacuum due to outgas from the soil. Most of the outgas is water, and the time to reach high vacuum can be significantly reduced by a pretreatment process that removes moisture adhering to the surface of the lunar soil before putting soil into a vacuum chamber. The existing soil drying methods were examined to determine how these methods were effective to remove moisture from the lunar simulant soil. Drying experiments of lunar soil samples were carried out using a dry oven, a microwave oven, direct heating method and a vacuum oven, and the results of the drying experiment were presented. Drying soil at 110℃ using a dry oven and drying soil by a microwave oven were not enough to remove moisture, and vacuum oven drying method and direct heating drying method at more than 200℃ were effective in water removal.
