This paper presents a method of adaptive image enhancement with dynamic range compression and contrast enhancement. The dynamic range compression is to adaptively enhance the dark area using illumination component of DCT compression block. The contrast enhancement is to modify the image contrast using retinex theory that uses the HVS properties. The block artifacts and other noises, caused by processing in the compression domain, were removed by after processing.

This letter addresses a structural disambiguation method for Korean adverbs based on the correlative relation constraints between adverbs and modifiees, and the morphological context information of sentences. Using the proposed method, we improved the dependency parsing accuracy of adverbs from 79.2 to 89%. The experimental result shows that the proposed method is especially expert in parsing adverbs which can modify multiple word classes or have a long distance dependency relation to their modifiees.

Allergy skin prick test and intradermal test represent one of the major tools in the diagnosis of IgE-mediated diseases like as atopic asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, food and drug allergy, and insect bite when properly performed. Skin tests are of particular importance in fields such as allergen standardization, pharmacology, and epidemiology. Even if skin tests seem easy to perform, adequate and proper interpretation requires well-trained physicians who can recognize the numerous factors that may modify the results of skin tests.

ARMA fast Transversal filter(FTF) algorithm solves the extended least squres estimation problems in a very efficient way. But unfortunately, it exhibits a very unstable behavior, due to the accumulation of round-off errors. So, in this paper, two effective method to stabilize ARMA FTF algorithm is proposed. They are based on the analysis of the propagation of the numerical errors according to a first order linear model. The proposed methods modify the numerical properties of the variables responsible for the numerical instability, while proeserving the theoretical form of the algorithm. The proposed algorithms still have the nice complexity properties of the original algorithm, but have a much more stable brhavior.

In this paper, we present a model based 3d facial modeling method for virtual reality application using only one front of face photography. We extract facial feature using facial photography and modify mesh of the basic 3D model by the facial feature. After this , We use texture mapping for more similarity. By experiment, we know that the modeling technic is useful method for Movie, Virtual Reality Application, Game , Clothing Industry , 3D Video Conference.

A solution containing 3-Mercaptopropyltr-imethoxysilane(MPTMS) was employed to modify surface of cotton fabrics with a silver colloid. Silver nanoparticles were applied on cotton fabrics via treatment with 3-MPTMS. The rate of silver nanoparticles on the fabric surface were measured with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy(EDS). EDS results confirm the silver atom on the cotton surface.

Geosynthetic Clay Liners(GCLs) have been widely used as hydraulic barrier in landfills and remediation projects of contaminated sites. The aim of this research is to modify GCLs for effective removal of contaminants. We perform the free swell test, hydraulic conductivity test, and contaminants (TCE, hexavalent chromium, and nitrate) removal test on the bentonite-ZVI mixture with various ZVI content. As the ZVI content increased, contaminants removal efficiencies and swell volume increased, and hydraulic conductivity decreased.

In this paper, overdetermined method is used for high resolution spectral estimation in case of short data record length. To reduce the computational effort and to obtain recursive form of estimation algorithm, we modify data matrix to have near-Toeplitz structure. Then, new recursive algorithm is derived in the form of fast Kalman algorithm. Two stage procedure is used for the estimation of ARMA parameters. First AR parameters are estimated by using overdetermined modified Yule-walker equation, and then MA parameters are implicitly estimated by estimating numerator spectral coefficients(NS).

This paper gives the Sonic Range Finder(SRF) Array which detects the unknown obstacles on the mobile robot's path. This SRF Array gives mobile robot's circumstance information wider, processes and transfers them to the locomotion module to construct the modify path. In this system, 8 pairs of the 40 KHz ultrasonic sensors constitute the SRF Array, including a pair of reference sensors to correct the errors, 4051 analog multiplexer and demultiplexer swtch the sensor with time and 8031-on chip micro computer controls processes the data and communication the others.
