Even though geographical drawbacks of Netherlands, the De Stiji Movement has been acting extensively as a composite arts movement. Furthermore, because this movement has influenced on even field of architecture, Walter Gropius, who had led to establish the modern architecture at that time, was not also able to be excluded from the influence of De Stiji movement. As a result, his works after 1922 when De Stijl movement had been acting vividly, shows a part of De Stijl style and definitely has a difference via-a-via early of his works. Therefore, this study in this point of view is on the purpose of how De Stijl Movement influenced on Gropius' works as the ideology of place and concepts in the period of both De Stijl Movement and Modern architecture style were being formed together. Especially, this study will analyze Dessau Bauhaus Building, which is the most influenced by De Stijl Style in Gropius' works, into the way of how De Stijl. was embodied to this building.

Office interior design is based on the understanding of diversity information about working program, organization and networking system of the company. To build a good working environment, flexibility of space and communication between employees and employer in the office are very important. Due to the business growth, the "N" company requires more working space and this project is basically initiated to relocate in new working environment. This work pursues the clients can enhance more creativity and productivity in their working area. In order to promote the efficiency and comfort of the working environment, diverse employee's working characteristic, individual and collective requirements have been observed. The basic concept of the design can be summarized in the following : youth, simplicity, modern and nature.

Modern control theory has been developed day by day, but it hardly has been applicated practically to the various fields of industry, specially power electronic field, because there is no cost effective hardware that accommodates modern control theory. Thus, in our study, DSP based ultra high speed general controller which may be exclusively used for power electronic applications is developed.

Studies on housing concept currently activated by environmental psychology are in its early stage of developement. The trends can be characterized as case oriented, phenomenological, and exploratory. The purpose of this research was to explore empirically the housing concept from residents living in multi family housing complex through their verbal expressions. Subjects were 63 housewives of middle class households in Junggae area. Interview technique with open questions about housing concept and images was used. The responses were analyzed using content analysis in which episode was the analysis unit. Relaxation appeared the most important aspect of housing concept This seemed to imply the need for escaping from the modern city life with too much stimulus or stress. Answers on specific images considered desirable to keep and continue from past traditional housing to future housing showed their strong need for natural green environment such as garden and park. This supported the concept of relaxation as a major function of modern housing and showed a specific alternative mean to satisfy the relaxation concept.

The aim of modern medicine is to prolong life by fighting death. Doctors have traditionally believed that this was an ethical good deed. The negative connotation surrounding death has led to the avoidance of terminally ill patients. But in a modern society where death is medicalized, doctors have to see dying patients every day and are in a state of guilt from implementing meaningless life-sustaining treatments. Therefore, medical schools should allow medical students to embrace a new perspective through death education. Yonsei University Medical College has implemented death education since 2017 as an optional class for first and second year medical students. Students watch videos related to death once a week for 6 weeks and submit their reflections by e-mail. The professor reads the students' reflections and gives them weekly feedback. Through this coursework, students realize that death is not a medical event, but rather a part of life and completion. The ultimate purpose of death education is to transform blind life-absolutist identity into narrative identity.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relations between maternal traditional-modern values, childrearing practices and children's social behaviors. The subjects were 500 fifth grade elementary school children and their mothers, and teachers, and peers in the same classroom. The data were collected through questionnaires on maternal traditional values, perceived maternal childrearing practices, and children's social behaviors. Traditional maternal values focused on familial collectivism and politeness. The major results were as follows: (1) Maternal traditional values were positively related to childrearing practices in both maternal affection rational guidance and authoritarian control. (2) Maternal traditional values did not directly influence children's social behavior but showed an indirect moderating effect through maternal childrearing practices. Implications were discussed in terms of the importance of traditional values on childrearing behavior as well as the development of children.

Bun-Hwa-Chang is a kind of sore and occurs skin. It is reported that Bun-Hwa-Chang is similar to skin carcinoma. The So-Moon(素問) explains that "sores, pains and ichings are occurred to the heart fire(諸瘡痛痒 皆屬층心火)" is the factor of it It will be helpful for examination closely to the cause of the suppurative infection to amount for Bun-Hwy-Chang and to approach modern medical skin carcinoma. It also gained some views about the examination and access of skin carcinoma which is one of skin diseases that occurs because of modern environmental pollution through chinese medical literature contemplation, as a resort, it is reported as stated above.

The proper design of man-machine systems requires as much understanding of the human element as of the machine. Although the modern systems engineer can obtain a very high degree of repeatability and accuracy for the characteristics of a machine, these of the human elements are much less well known. Due to the complexity and importance of modern man-machine systems, this difficult problem has recently received increasing attention. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of the human operator have been newly determined by impulse estimation using Pseuo-random binnary signals as a test signal and the quasi-linear human operator models used as an element of a closed-loop control system adopted from McRuer & Krendel and Bekey. Also the techniques and instruments are presented for correlating the actual characteristics of the constructed system with anticipated theoretical values. Consequently, in spite of many problems remain yet, experimental results were very satisfactory.

This paper describes the System Engineering Process model integrated with Safety Engineering and the establishment of standard safety guidelines for safety of product development using DMADOV Methodology of the Lean 6 Sigma.

This study covers the literature of theoretical backgrounds of royal ceremonial hair styles during Chosun Dynasty and demonstrates reproduction works of those hair styles reinterpreted in modern methods. As for the Chosun royal hair styles for ceremonies, there are Daesoo, Gudoomi, and Euyoumi for a royal queen, royal concubines, and royal lady attendants of Nae Myung Boo, department of general affairs of the royal court. These hair styles represents well that Chosun Dynasty kept its own class symbols through hair styles, which is valuable cultural resources of Korean traditional beauties. This study compares the new reproduction works of Daesoo, Gudoomi, and Euyoumi with existing literature pieces and related photos for clear understanding of these traditional hair styles. This study aims to activate the relevant researches into Korean traditonal hair styles, their reproduction methods and applicable usages in Modern Korea as well as useful data for them.
