The objective of this research is to examine the fashion styles of Choe Seung-Hee (1911-1969), modern woman and dancer of Korea, through her life and activities. From such theoretical and empirical studies, three aesthetic characteristics of South Korea's modern woman Choe Seung-Hee's fashion styles could be deduced. Based on the three deduced styles of modern elegance, futuristic avant-garde and mystical Asian aesthetics, "Pearl of Asia" was selected as the main theme. The result is that the fashion styles of Choe Seung-Hee is not simply that of an individual modern woman and a dancer who lived in the early 20th century but is a meaningful symbol of Korea's modern women.

Today in modern Korea, the preferred modern social role for many modern women is that of modern housewife. This move to the role of housewife is a change in more than just a role; it also reflects a deep and fundamental change that has taken place in the social and economic roles of married women. This shift in economic activities and the gender roles they help produce speaks of a deep and profound process of transformation for all of Korea. Traditionally, a woman was a member of a family premised upon group production as well as group consumption. The role of jubu is derived almost exclusively from market forces and bases her identity and actions upon those forces. This distinction is crucial because it means Korean women are finding that they are no longer as central to the existence of the family. Modern life situations have altered a womans role by making consumption, not production by the woman herself, the keystone of modern families.

The purpose of this thesis is to study on the source, the introductive process and the phenomenon of the regional tendency into Korean modern interior design. For that, 1)Explaining the traditional expression, the leo-corbusian expression and the organic expression with nature in Korean contemporary architecture 2)Explaining the vernacular expression and the abstract expression in Korean modern art 3. Studying the regional tendency in Korean modern interior design For that, 1)Studying the expression of Korean traditionality 2)Studying the expression of the vernacular 3)Studying the expression of the environmental affinity By theme methods and contents, we will study the introduction of the regional tendency into Korean modern interior design.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of introducing the history of science in modern Korea into elementary education. Although there are many studies on applying a history of science to science education, they do not pay attention to the history of science in modern Korea. I survey research papers on the history of science in modern Korea and science education based on a history of science, and elementary science textbooks in Korea, Japan and the US. When we apply the history of science in modern Korea into elementary education, elementary students will recognize science has close relations to Korean culture and history and they will develop the familiarity with science. I show there are 3 ways using the history of science in modern Korea in elementary education: 1) Applying Korean scientists' research contents to science education, 2) Measures to evaluate Korean scientists correctly, 3) Materials for science education programs for gifted elementary students.

In order to clarify and redefine theoretical concepts of consumptions in modern society, the study examines currently enlarging and changing concepts of consumptions. Definitely, the modern society is transferred from industrial society to consumer society, and the meaning of recent consumptions is changed and expanded. In other words, it is important to investigate new cultures and concepts of modern consumptions beyond the fixed perceptions of past consumptions. Today, consumptions in modem society are more than just consumptions. It is not only Physical needs but also Psychological needs of individuals who live in modern society. Hence, this study analyzes and redefines the concepts in modem society's consumptions with respect to set of variables: personal, social, commercial, cultural, and ecological.

The main focus of this paper is to apply contemporary aesthetics and psychological study with interior design analysis. Up to now, the methodology of interior design analysis has been developed toward a more qualitative way. By the virtue of the perception , congnition , and information theory, which oriented toward a quantitative approach, it became possible to investigate interior space analysis to a more objective and scientific ways. The purpose of this study is to investigate Modern and Post-Modern interior - architectural style with quantitative analytical method. The subjective interior critique studied by intuitive research will be transferred to scientific way by using quantitative formula . Savoye Villa and Guardiola House were selected as study model, because each architectural works ware regarded as masterpieces of Modern and Post-Modern style. These two oppositional style model will be distinguished with mathematical quantity by calculating Iave , Hmax, and Redundancy formula.

The purpose of this study is firstly to have the grasp of the tendency of animality represented in modern fashion. The second purpose is to analyze the form modeling of animality represented in modern fashion and the third one is to examine into an aesthetic character of animality represented in modern fashion. The method we adopt for this study is to analyze the designers' work which shows the fashion animality. The result of this study is follows. The tendency of animality represented in modern fashion presented in a printed form which patterned the animals' cuticle, a shape of animals, a symbolic image, and a future suggestive expression. The form modeling of animality is a reality and the aesthetic character is the vigorous beauty and the gorgeousness of original colors. So, animality represented in modern fashion is to offer the various ideas as well as to lead the curiosity about the fashion in the future and the coexistence into the fashion.

This article aims at rethinking on people of Modern styles in early modern period with reference to A Large River[Dae-Ha] written by Kim Nam-cheon at 1939. Park Sung-guoen could be called to Homo Economicus, first, have maximized of self-interest in rapid changes of Korea society with loan sharking, rising to upper class in new early modern era instead of traditional nobleman. Park Hyung-geol could be said romantic guy, second, have chased romatic love consist of three elements(love-sex-marriage). But he troubled his love affairs to his family members frustrated his will because of a bastard son. It is the model of situations, Kim Nan-cheon intended to describe, that Homo Economicus became an object of envy among people in early modern society as well as the choice has been hard in conflicting between family and lover, concretizing anachronism through history of family.

Feminist artists are special in Chinese modern art. Sticking to their own artistic ideas, they constantly emphasize women's psychological characteristics and aesthetic values in their works under the background of modern society. Since feminism was introduced into China from western arts in the 1970s, it has greatly inspired Chinese female artists. This study used comparative analysis and correlation analysis to establish the connection between the works of local Chinese female artists and modern women's wear design, this connection is the common language form of Chinese female artists and modern fashion designers when expressing female psychology and aesthetics. This is a way for Chinese female artists to seek dialogue with Western and global female art, and the development characteristics of the localization of feminism in Chinese art and design. The significance of the research is to improve the international artistic atmosphere of Chinese feminist art and instill a new understanding of Chinese feminist art in the world.

This study deals with arbitration award via modern technical means; because e-Arbitration is deemed to be one of the most important substitute means for the settlement of disputes arising from electronic transactions. This type of arbitration is characterized by fast settlement of disputes, as well as fast enforcement of awards rendered thereon. The researcher seeks to indicate the content of the award, the conditions for rendering it, and to analyze the legal provisions related to its legal basis in the Saudi Law of Arbitration. This study shows that an arbitration award, rendered via modern technical means has a number of advantages, such as fast settlement, less cost, and keeping pace with modern technology, which is an aim of Saudi Arabia Vision 2030. The study also points out certain problems facing arbitration via technical means; however, the most important of which is the insufficiency of some legal rules associated with traditional arbitration, as contained in the Saudi Law of Arbitrator, which are incompatible with or applicable to an arbitration award which is rendered via modern means.
