조선후기 '님' 담론의 특성과 그 의미 : 사설시조와 잡가를 중심으로 (The Characteristics and Significance of 'Nim' Texts in the Late Chason Period: Focused on Saseol-sijo and Chap-ga)

  • 사설시조에서는 남성화자가 여성 님에 대한 그리움과 연모의 정을 토로하는 작품들이 급증하고 이 현상은 잡가에서 극대화된다. 이런 텍스트들은 근대 이후의 시에서 '여성예찬' 혹은 '여성의 초점화'와 같은 주제가 활성화되는 내적 토대가 되며 여성에 대한 당대의 시각변화를 반영하고 있어 사설시조가 내포하는 '근대성'을 규명하는 중요한 단서가 된다. '님'에 대한 애정을 노래한 사설시조는 애정의 성격에 따라 '상사형'과 '육정형'으로 나뉠 수 있는데 사설시조에서 특별히 부각되기 시작하는 유형은 '남성 상사형' 즉 남성화자가 여성 님에 대한 그리움을 노래하는 유형이다. 남성 상사형 사설시조는, 이전의 한국 시가의 전형적 패턴이 되어 온 '여성상사형' 즉 여성화자가 남성님을 향한 그리움과 연모의 정을 표현하는 유형과는 달리 ‘여성'이 발화와 가치의 중심에 놓인다는 특징을 지닌다. '상사형' 텍스트에서 '님'은 시적 화자에게 삶의 의미를 부여하는 가치의 총체이자 발화의 중심이 되는데 '남성 상사형'은 곧, 남성만이 차지하던 '님'의 자리에 여성도 위치하게 되었음을 알려주는 징표가 된다. 본고에서는 이를 '여성의 초점화'라는 용어로 포괄하여 사설시조 및 잡가를 통해 그 구체적인 양상을 살폈으며 근대 이후의 시에서 '마돈나' '그대' '당신'으로 지칭되는 여성 님의 존재를 부각시키는 내적 토대가 된다는 것을 검토하였다.

Feature Extraction of Concepts by Independent Component Analysis

  • Semantic clustering is important to various fields in the modem information society. In this work we applied the Independent Component Analysis method to the extraction of the features of latent concepts. We used verb and object noun information and formulated a concept as a linear combination of verbs. The proposed method is shown to be suitable for our framework and it performs better than a hierarchical clustering in latent semantic space for finding out invisible information from the data.

Electroactive Polymer Composites as a Tactile Sensor for Biomedical Applications

  • Modem applications could benefit from multifunctional materials having anisotropic optical, electrical, thermal, or mechanical properties, especially when coupled with locally controlled distribution of the directional response. Such materials are difficult to engineer by conventional methods, but the electric field-aided technology presented herein is able to locally tailor electroactive composites. Applying an electric field to a polymer in its liquid state allows the orientation of chain- or fiber-like inclusions or phases from what was originally an isotropic material. Such composites can be formed from liquid solutions, melts, or mixtures of pre-polymers and cross-linking agents. Upon curing, a 'created composite' results; it consists of these 'pseudofibers' embedded in a matrix. One can also create oriented composites from embedded spheres, flakes, or fiber-like shapes in a liquid plastic. Orientation of the externally applied electric field defines the orientation of the field-aided self-assembled composites. The strength and duration of exposure of the electric field control the degree of anisotropy created. Results of electromechanical testing of these modified materials, which are relevant to sensing and actuation applications, are presented. The materials' micro/nanostructures were analyzed using microscopy and X-ray diffraction techniques.

Analysis of Planocentric Gear

  • The planocentric gear, known as wobble mechanism, has been used for speed reducing mechanism as an ingenious mechanism. The modem application can be found in the backrest adjusting mechanism of a vehicle reclinable seat, fluid pumps and aircraft hoist and winches. Higher speed reduction ratios, high load capacity, lower weight, and compactness are the main advantages of this gear. This paper presents velocity and static force analysis to investigate the friction lock of the planocentric gear. The rectilinear tooth profile is used to maximize the speed reduction ratio. The equivalent linkage system is used for the analysis of instantaneous motion. As the results, the transmission efficiency of the planocentric gear is found and the friction lock of the system is determined for the friction coefficients of journals. A numerical example that illustrates the developed analysis is presented.

  • Demand for reliability and safety in modem systems has been increased in the research on fault detection and isolation. At traditional approaches to fault detection, redundant sensors have been used. More advanced methods are the residual analysis of signals which are created by the comparison between the actual plant behavior and the output response of a mathematical model. However, mathematical system models are difficult to obtain by using physical laws. These problems can be solved by system identification. In this paper, the transfer function of a direct current motor is estimated by using the system identification. And, the efficiency of the fault detector design is verified by using experiments.

  • The maximum demand power management system(the demand controller) is an equipment for demand management. If the pre-estimated load is over the preset power, the demand controller make warnings and break the load circuit according to predefined priority. Then consumption power is maintained below the maximum demand power level. The DTU receives the control commands from demand controller, and then controls loads. In this paper, the power line cables are used for communication between the demand controller and DTUs and monitoring PC. The experiments show that the proposed system is compatible with the conventional system, and feasible for new or remodeling plant.

GPU를 이용한 JPEG2000 병렬 알고리즘 (Parallel Processing Algorithm of JPEG2000 Using GPU)

  • Most modem computers or game consoles are well equipped with powerful graphics processing units(GPUs) to accelerate graphics operations. However, since the graphics engines in these GPUs are specially designed for graphics operations, we could not take advantage of their computing power for more general nongraphic operations. In this paper, we studied the GPUs graphics engine in order to accelerate the image processing capability. Specifically, we implemented a JPEC2000 decoding/encoding framework that involves both OpenMP and GPU. Initial experimental results show that significant speed-up can be achieved by utilizing the GPU power.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the expression style of space in Rietveld's early works in comparison with Mondrian's paintings. Through investigating the development of their works and analyzing the composition and disposition type of elements such as point, line, plane, color in the selected works, we can draw the following conclusions. .First, Rietveld pursues the dissolution of traditional volume and the de-composition of elements as Mondrian does. Second, the painterly property of plane is emphasized by the projection of separately floating elements on the picture plane. Third, the separating the layer of lines from the layer of planes and the re-combination of these two layers present the superimpositional image of three-dimensional objects. This leads into new conception of architectural space and develops the transparency and the extension of plan in modem architecture.

국가기준점 망조정의 점검 및 평가 (Examination and Evaluation of Results of the National Wide Horizontal Network Adjustment)

  • This paper focuses on examining and evaluating recent results of the national wide horizontal network adjustment which has carried out with respect to the Korean Geodetic Datum 2002 (KGD2002). To do this, 137 geodetic control points were observed by modem GPS technology. After processing all the observations, their outcomes are compared with ones provided by the national wide network adjustment. Results of GPS network show that RMSE is ${\pm}2.7cm\;and\;{\pm}6.5cm$ in horizontal and vertical component, respectively. On the other hand, ones from comparison with EDM network indicate that RMSE is ${\pm}3.0cm$ in horizontal component.

  • These days. the representative fashion image is sexy look. Hence, a bodily exposure phenomenon has been spread by the effect of minimal fashion. In terms of this trend, the body make-up art such as the temporary painting have the painting dyeing the surface of skin has the characteristic naturally decolorized. It is different from tattoo pricking the skin with dyes. Especially, Henna among the temporary painting has been used to represent the individual characteristic for a long time. However, the research of henna pattern related to fashion images and korean traditional patterns has never been developed before within the country. In the research, we developed Korean Henna design through the application of Korean traditional patterns. First of all, a fashion image was classified as five parts (romantic, sexy, eligant, modem and casual) adopted by relebvant experts.
