제501 오룡호 침몰사고 원인분석을 위한 침수·침몰 시뮬레이션 연구 (A Study on Flooding·Sinking Simulation for Cause Analysis of No. 501 Oryong Sinking Accident)

  • 원양어선 제501 오룡호는 황천 중인 베링해에서 조업 후 피항하던 중 개구부를 통한 침수로 인하여 침몰하였으며 많은 선원들이 사망하고 실종되었다. 본 연구에서는 유체-구조 연성(Fluid-Structure Interaction, FSI) 해석기법의 고도 정밀 M&S(highly advanced Modeling & Simulation) 시스템을 사용하여 실선 침수 침몰 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 침몰사고의 과정을 정확하고 과학적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 베링해 침몰사고 시의 기상 및 해상상태를 객관적으로 확보하기 위하여 침몰사고 지역의 시간대별 기상 및 해상 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 침몰사고 당시 파랑과 강풍 등을 분석하고, 불규칙 파랑과 강풍 스펙트럼을 사용하여 구현하였다. 사고선박의 선체 도면 등을 통하여 선박의 선형, 배치 및 중량 분포와 외부 해수 침수 개구부 및 선내 침수 경로를 분석하고 주요 탱크들의 용적과 그들의 중량 분포를 추정하여 침수 침몰 시뮬레이션을 위한 시나리오를 작성하고, 사고선박의 전선과 유체(공기 및 해수)를 상세 모델링을 하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 침수 침몰사고는 단순한 복원성의 부족으로 인한 일반적인 전복 침몰사고와는 다소 차이가 있다는 것도 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Weapon systems composed of several subsystems execute various engagement missions in distributed combat environments in cooperation with a large number of subordinate/adjacent weapon systems as well as higher echelons through tactical data links. Such distributed weapon systems require distributed real-time simulation test beds to integrate and test their operational software, analyze their performance and effects of cooperated engagement, and validate their requirement specifications. These demands present significant challenges in terms of real-time constraints, time synchronization, complexity and development cost of an engagement simulation test bed, thus necessitate the use of high-performance distributed real-time simulation architectures, and modeling and simulation techniques. In this paper, in order to meet these demands, we presented a distributed real-time simulation system based on High Level Architecture(HLA) and Discrete Event System Specification(DEVS). We validated its performance by using it as a test bed for developing the Engagement Control System(ECS) of a surface-to-air missile system. The proposed technique can be employed to design a prototype or model of engagement-level distributed real-time simulation systems.

  • Agent-based modeling (ABM), as a relatively new simulation technique, has recently gained in popularity in the civil engineering domain due to its uniquely advantageous features. Among many civil engineering applications, ABM has been applied to facility operation and management, such as energy consumption management, as well as the enhancement of maintenance and repair processes. The former studies used ABM to manage energy consumption through simulating human energy-related behaviors and their interactions with facilities, as well as electrical, heating, and cooling systems and appliances, while the latter used ABM to enhance maintenance process through facilitating coordination, negotiation, and decision making between facility managers, service providers, and repair workers. The present study aims to provide a short qualitative review on the most recent applications of ABM in the above-mentioned areas. Based on the review and follow-up analysis, the study identifies the advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of ABM applications to facility operation and management, and offers several potential future research topics in the hope of filling the existing literature gaps.

  • This paper proposes the 3D modeling and simulation technique for predicting the integrated performance of combat vehicle. To consider the practical driving and firing condition of a combat vehicle, the full vehicle model, which can define the six degrees-of-freedom of vehicle motion and various firing angles, is developed. The critical design parameters such as the stiffness and damping coefficient of suspension system are applied to construct the analysis model of vehicle. A simple ballistic model, which incorporates the empirical interior ballistic model and the point mass trajectory model, is built to estimate the firing range and the firing recoil force. To predict the integrated performance and analyze the effect of system parameters, MATLAB/SIM-ULINK model of a combat vehicle for performing the real time simulation is also developed. Several simulation tests incorporating the road bump and the firing recoil force are presented to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed vehicle model.

  • For a Stationary moving-target. the design technique of guidance system for underwater vehicle with a seeker of st type is developed. Using perturbation theory, a new method which linearizes the nonlinear intercept geometry is proposed. On the basis of the linearized system modeling, LQ and PID design technique is used to determine the structure and gain of the guidance system. Some simulation results applied underwater engagement are represented to show that the proposed guidance law is superior to the other guidance laws as pursuit, Bang-Beng, PN APN.

  • A Direct simulation Monte-Carlo (DSMC) code is developed, which employs the Monte-Carlo statistical sampling technique to investigate hypersonic rarefied gas flows accompanying chemical reactions. The DSMC method is a numerical simulation technique for analyzing the Boltzmann equation by modeling a real gas flow using a representative set of molecules. Due to the limitations in computational requirements. the present method is applied to a flow around a simple two-dimensional object in exit velocity of 7.6 km/sec at an altitude of 90 km. For the calculation of chemical reactions an air model with five species (O₂, N₂, O, N, NO) and 19 chemical reactions is employed. The simulated result showed various rarefaction effects in the hypersonic flow with chemical reactions.

반코마이신의 약물동태학적 모델링과 시뮬레이션의 향상을 위한 분석오차 (Assay Error for Improved Pharmacokinetic Modeling and Simulation of Vancomycin)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of assay error for improved pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation of vancomycin on the Bayesian and nonlinear least squares regression analysis in 24 Korean gastric cancer patients. Vancomycin 1.0 g was administered intravenously over 1 hr every 12 hr. Three specimens were collected at 72 hr after the first dose from all patients at the following times, at 0.5 hr before regularly scheduled infusion, at 0.5 hr and 2 hr after the end of 1 hr infusion. Serum vancomycin levels were analyzed by fluorescence polarization immunoassay technique with TDX-FLX. The standard deviation (SD) of the assay over its working range had been determined at the serum vancomycin concentrations of 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and $120{\mu}g/ml$ in quadruplicate. The polynomial equation of vancomycin assay error was found to be SD $({\mu}g/ml)=0.0224+0.0540C+0.00173C^2$ ($R^2=0.935$). There were differences in the influence of weight with vancomycin assay error on pharmacokinetic parameters of vancomycin using the nonlinear least squares regression analysis but there were no differences on the Bayesian analysis. This polynomial equation can be used to improve the precision of fitting of pharmacokinetic models to optimize the process of model simulation both for population and for individualized pharmacokinetic models. The result suggests the improvement of dosage regimens for the better and safer care of patients receiving vancomycin.

  • The paper proposes a simulation model of grid-connected photovoltaic generation system (PV system) using on PSCAD/EMTDC, a reliable power system and apparatus transient analysis program. A equivalent circuit model of a solar cell is used for modeling solar array. A series of parameters required for array modeling are deduced from general specification data of a solar module. A PWM voltage source inverter (VSI) model is presented and current control scheme is implemented for VSI control. A maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique is applied for controlling the PV system. Simulation case study provides V-I and V-P characteristics of solar array and PV system control performance for irradiation changes.

  • 액체 추진제 공급 시스템에 대한 Modeling and Simulation(M&S)는 엔진의 각 구성품을 수학적으로 모델링하여 특정 조건에서의 성능을 예측하는 기법이다. 본 논문에서는 국내외에서 수행된 관련 연구를 분석하여 액체 로켓엔진에 적용되는 공급 시스템에 대한 M&S의 기본 구성을 파악하였다. 구성요소의 보편적인 수학적 모델링을 정리하고 각 연구 결과에 대한 특징을 분석하였다. 또한 해석 및 검증 결과를 바탕으로 선진 해외 연구 기관의 M&S 수준을 확인하였고, M&S 기법의 정확도와 관련한 요인을 기술하였다.

  • Although the switched reluctance motor (SRM) has a several advantages such as simple magnetic structure, robustness, wide range of speed characteristics and simple driving, it has a considerable inherent torque ripple and speed variation duet to the driving characteristics of pulse current waveform and the nonlinear inductance profile. The high torque ripple and speed variation inhibits wide application. The minimization of the torque ripple is very important in high performance servo drive applications, which require smooth operation with minimum torque pulsations. This paper presents the new SRM torque modeling technique for the control of instantaneous torque. The SRM is modeled by the database of torque profiles for every small variation in currents and rotor angles, which is inferred from the several measured data by the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference technique. Simulation results demonstrating the effectiveness of proposed torque modeling technique are presented.
