FlexDesigner:계층적으로 모듈화된 주초의 객체 지향 방식 비다양체 모델링 커널 (FlexDesigner:Object-Oriented Non-manifold Modeling Kernel with Hierarchically Modularized Structure)

  • Conventional solid or surface modeling systems cannot represent both the complete solid model and the abstract model in a unified framework. Recently, non-manifold modeling systems are proposed to solve this problem. This paper describes FlexDesigner, an open kernel system for modeling non-manifold models. It summarizes the data structure for non-manifold models, system design methodology, system modularization, and the typical characteristics of each module in the system. A data structure based on partial-topological elements is adopted to represent the relationship among topological elements. It is efficient in the usage of memory and has topological completeness compared with other published data structures. It can handle many non-manifold situations such as isolate vertices, dangling edges, dangling faces, a mixed dimensional model, and a cellular model. FlexDesigner is modularized hierarchically and designed by the object-oriented methodology for reusability. FlexDesigner is developed using the C++ and OpenGL on both SGI workstation and IBM PC.

자동화 생산시스템의 통합 객체지향 Modular 설계 접근 (Integrated Object-oriented Modular Design of AMS)

  • Development of control model and system for AMS (Automated Manufacturing Systems) has long been interested by researchers. Presented in the paper is a systematic approach to constructing a Petri-nets(PNs) model of AMS and method for design a graphical model of a AMS by using a new modeling tool which is called PNs. So, the procedure of modeling in the AMS is the same as current practice of AMS design and is based on the IOM (Integrated Object-oriented Modeling) paradigm. An AMS, which consists of various machine groups, can produce machine parts in different physical dimensions and lot size. To model such a system, the method which utilizes Sub-PNs are proposed. This enables the models according to part routings. The machine group which causes bottleneck is obtained and modified to relieve the problem. By iterating these steps which consist of modelling, simulation, and performance evaluation, an AMS can e obtained which satisfies the required manufacturing conditions. Finally, the implementation issues of PN modeling are addressed. The approach is the IOM from PN modeling by Sub-PNs and the other is a development of IOM tool for the performance evaluation of AMS.

중등 예비교사들의 수학적 모델링 기반 수업 설계 사례연구 (A Case Study of Lesson Design Based on Mathematical Modeling of Pre-Service Mathematics Teachers)

  • 본 연구는 수학적 모델링 활동을 수행할 수 있는 과제 개발과 이를 기반한 수업 설계의 중요성을 생각하여, 수학적 모델링에 대한 예비교사들의 내재된 인식을 바탕으로 그들이 설계한 수학적 모델링 기반 수업의 특징을 파악하는 데 목적이 있다. 그 결과 예비교사들이 개발한 수학적 모델링 과제는 주로 개념 활용 학습을 목적으로, 실생활 맥락의 소재를 활용한 적정량의 정보를 제시한 다소 구조화된 형태로, 이해, 의미, 개념과 연결이 있는 절차적 과정이 필요한 인지적 요구수준으로 개발된 경향을 보였다. 이를 바탕으로 설계한 수업은 대부분이 준비 활동, 모델 도출 활동, 모델 탐험 활동만을 유도한 경향이 있었다. 본 결과를 토대로 예비교사 교육에서의 시사점을 논의하였다.

3 Dimensional Modeling and Sensitivity Analysis for Vibration Reduction of the Spin-Coater System

  • In this paper, the dynamic system modeling and the state sensitivity analysis of the spin-coater system for the reduction of the vibration are proposed. In the respect of modeling, the spin-coater system is composed of components of servomotor, belt, spindle, and a supported base. Each component is defined and combined modeling is derived to 3dimensional equations. Verification of modeling is verified by experimental values of actual system in the frequency domain. By direct differentiation the constraint equations with respect to kinematic design variables, such as eccentricity of spindle, moment of inertia, torsional stiffness and damping of supported base, sensitivity equations are derived to the verified state equations.   • In this paper, we suggest the system analysis method that links IDEF0 and conceptual analysis. Based on the method, we propose the implementation methodology that can be used to build CALS/EC systems in logistics industry. This paper presents data characteristic derived using ICAM DEFinition(IDEF0) and conceptual data modeling. Modeling methodology has been widely used for analysis and design of an enterprise information system. Further IDEF has been considered appropriate for developing functional and database models for the logistics environment.

  • For many industrial processes there are good static models used for process design and steady state operation. By using system identification techniques, it is possible to obtain black-box models with reasonable complexity that describe the system well in specific operating conditions [1]. But black-box models using inductive modeling(IM) is not suitable for model based control because they are only valid for specific operating conditions. Thus we need to use deductive modeling(DM) for a wide operating range. Furthermore, deductive modeling is several merits: First, the model is possible to be modularized. Second, we can increase and decrease the model complexity. Finally, we are able to use model for plant design. Power plant must be able to operate well at dramatic load change and consider safety and efficiency. This paper proposes a simplified nonlinear model of an industrial boiler, one of component parts of a power plant, by DM method and applies optimal control to the model.

MDO 기반 협력설계 시스템 (MDO-Based Design Collaboration)

  • MDO is one of the efficient methods for huge and multi -functional system design. This paper describes a design collaboration framework with MDO in networked design environment. A prototype of web -based integrated design system was implemented to show sharing and exchange of models and analysis information between MDO modules and collaborative design stations. Server System consists of MDO modules for optimization and modeling module for 3D modeling operation. Client system provide user with graphic interface for shape modeling and system operation. We believe that the proposed approach can be extended to solve real complex multidisciplinary design problems.

An approach to computerized preliminary design procedure of mid-size superyachts from hull modeling to interior space arrangement

  • A concept of preliminary design for mid-size superyachts is explored. First, the profile of a superyacht is interactively designed with the help of freeform curve functionality and graphical user interface (GUI) based interaction. The hull form is then constructed using major characteristic curves such as design waterline, deck sideline, and sections in addition to the predefined profile curve. After exterior hull modeling is done, the arrangement of significant interior spaces of all decks is carried out. A genetic algorithm is exploited to find a space arrangement by considering space fitness values, space proximity, and stairs connectivity of relevant spaces. A goal of the paper is to offer a step-by-step procedure for superyacht design from scratch or when initial information is not sufficient for complete design. For this purpose, a GUI based superyacht design system is developed. This design approach is expected to help users interactively design mid-size superyachts.

조선시대 후기 가구와 명식(明式)가구 탁자(卓子)류 가구 조형 디자인의 유사성 연구 (Research on the Similarity of Furniture Design of Table Furniture in the Later Joseon Dynasty and Ming-style Furniture)

  • 조선 왕조는 명나라, 청나라와 여러 차원의 긴밀한 교류를 가졌으며, 가구 조형 디자인의 발전 과정에서 같은 문화적 원천과 상호 왕래, 동일한 요소들이 서로의 가구 조형에서 나타나고 있다. 본 논문은 '조선시대 후기 가구'와 '명식(明式) 가구'를 연구 주제로 탁자(卓子)류 가구를 구체적인 연구 대상으로 삼아 양국 교류사의 연구를 결합한 '유사성'의 시각에서, 전체적 디자인과 부분적 디자인 두 가지 측면에서 양국 전통 가구의 조형 디자인을 검토했다. 구체적인 사례 분석에서 조선시대 소반(小盤), 경상(經床), 연상(硯床) 등의 탁자(卓子)류 가구는 명청시대의 항탁(炕桌), 방탁(方卓), 주탁(酒桌) 등 탁자(卓子)류 가구와 전체적인 조형 디자인에서 유사성을 나타냈다. 부분적인 디자인은 비슷한 두 나라의 가구의 안면(案面), 운각(雲角), 두루마리(卷筒), 다리(足) 등에서 유사성을 잘 보여주고 있다. 본 논문은 '풍혈(風穴)' 조형물의 연원(淵源)을 추정함으로써 한국 전통가구 문화에 대한 연구의 폭을 넓히고자 했다. 한중간에 다방면에 걸친 교류가 확대되고 있는 현실을 감안할 때, 전통가구에서 유사성을 탐색하는 것은 양국의 문화교류 과정을 분석하고 교류를 활성화하는 일에 도움이 될 것이다.

형상 최적화를 위한 Vehicle Modeling Function 을 이용한 자동차 3 차원 형상 구현 (Representation of 3 Dimensional Automobile Configurations with Vehicle Modeling Function for a Shape Optimization)

  • Representing a complex, three-dimensional shape, such as an automobile, requires a large amount of CAD data consisting of millions of approximated discontinuous points, which makes it difficult or even impossible to efficiently optimize the entire shape. For this reason, in this paper, function based design method is proposed to optimize the external shape of an automobile. A vehicle modeling function was defined in the form of a Bernstein polynomial to smoothly express the complex 2D and 3D automobile configurations. The sub-sectional parts of the vehicle modeling function are defined as section functions through classifying each subsection of a box model. It is shown that the use of the vehicle modeling functions has the useful advantages in an aerodynamic shape optimization.
