자유후류 기법을 이용한 다중로터 공력해석 프로그램의 개발 및 검증 (Development and Validations of the Aerodynamic Analysis Program of Multi-Rotors by Using a Free-Wake Method)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 다중로터의 공력특성 해석이 가능한 수치해석 기법을 개발하고 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 기 개발된 시간 전진 자유후류 모델이 고려된 비정상 용출 및 중첩 패널 코드에 table look-up 방식을 추가하여 로터 동력의 예측이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한, look-up table을 다양한 레이놀즈수 영역에서 적용하기 위해서 레이놀즈수 보정법을 사용하였다. 계산 결과는 동축 반전로터와 탠덤로터의 실험 결과를 이용하여 검증하였다. 동축 반전로터 검증에서 본 연구에서와 같이 블레이드의 두께효과가 고려되어 해석될 경우 실험치와 더 가까운 결과를 얻음을 확인하였다. 탠덤형 로터 검증 시 특정한 간격에서 와류 상호작용에 의한 와류 불안정성이 존재하였다. 이 경우 후류의 불안정성은 단일로터의 후류를 각 로터의 초기 후류형상으로 이용하는 방법을 통해 제거할 수 있었다. 검증된 코드를 이용하여 로터 간격에 따른 공력성능의 차이를 운동량 이론과 비교하였다.

플럭스챔버에 의한 매립지표면 메탄의 배출량 측정과 분석 (Surface Flux Measurements of Methane from Lamdfills by Closed Chamber Technique and its Validation)

  • Next to carbon dioxide, methane is the second largest contributor to global warming among anthropogenic greenhouse gases. Methane is emitted into the atmosphere from both natural and anthropogenic sources. Natural sources include wetlands, termites, wildries, ocean and freshwater. Anthropogenic sources include landfill, natural gas and oil production, and agriculture. These manmade sources account for about 70% of total global methane emissions; and among these, landfill accounts for approximately 10% of total manmade emissions. Solid waste landfills produce methane as bacteria decompose organic wastes under anaerobic conditions. Methane accounts for approximately 45 to 50 percent of landfill gas, while carbon dioxide and small quantities of other gases comprise the remaining to 50 to 55 percent. Using the closed enclosure technique, surface emission fluxes of methane from the selected landfill sites were measured. These data were used to estimate national methane emission rate from domestic landfills. During the three different periods, flux experiments were conducted at the sites from June 30 through December 26, 1999. The chamber technique employed for these experiments was validated in situ. Samples were collected directly by on-site flux chamber and analyzed for the variation of methane concentration by gas chromatography equipped with FID. Surface emission rates of methane were found out to vary with space and time. Significant seasonal variation was observed during the experimental period. Methane emission rates were estimated to be 64.5$\pm$54.5mgCH$_4$/$m^2$/hr from Kimpo landifll site. 357.4$\pm$68.9mgCH$_4$/$m^2$/hr and 8.1$\pm$12.4mgCH$_4$/$m^2$/hr at KwanJu(managed and unmanaged), 472.7$\pm$1056mgCH$_4$/$m^2$/hr at JonJu, and 482.4$\pm$1140 mgCH$_4$/$m^2$/hr at KunSan. These measurement data were used for the extrapolation of national methane emission rate based on 1997 national solid waste data. The results were compared to those derived by theoretical first decay model suggested by IPCC guidelines.

  • In this paper we present an implantable pressure sensor to measure real-time blood pressure by monitoring mechanical movement of artery. Sensor is composed of inductors (L) and capacitors (C) which are formed by microfabrication and direct bonding on two biocompatible substrates (quartz). When electrical potential is applied to the sensor, the inductors and capacitors generates a LC resonance circuit and produce characteristic resonant frequencies. Real-time variation of the resonant frequency is monitored by an external measurement system using inductive coupling. Structural and electrical simulation was performed by Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs, ANSYS and HFSS, to optimize geometry of sensor. Ultrafast laser (femto-second) cutting and MEMS process were executed as sensor fabrication methods with consideration of brittleness of the substrate and small radial artery size. After whole fabrication processes, we got sensors of $3mm{\times}15mm{\times}0.5mm$. Resonant frequency of the sensor was around 90 MHz at atmosphere (760 mmHg), and the sensor has good linearity without any hysteresis. Longterm (5 years) stability of the sensor was verified by thermal acceleration testing with Arrhenius model. Moreover, in-vitro cytotoxicity test was done to show biocompatiblity of the sensor and validation of real-time blood pressure measurement was verified with animal test by implant of the sensor. By integration with development of external interrogation system, the proposed sensor system will be a promising method to measure real-time blood pressure.

낚시성 인터넷 신문기사 검출을 위한 특징 추출 (Feature Extraction to Detect Hoax Articles)

  • 스마트 기기의 발달로 많은 사람들이 인터넷 신문기사를 이용하고 있다. 하지만 인터넷 언론사간의 치열한 경쟁으로 조회수를 올리기 위한 낚시성 기사가 범람하고 있다. 낚시성 신문기사는 제목을 통해 올바른 기사의 줄거리가 제공되지 않았을 뿐만 아니라, 독자로 하여금 잘못된 내용을 떠올리게 한다. 낚시성 신문기사는 핵심에서 벗어난 유명인사 인용, 애매한 문장의 마무리, 제목과 내용의 불일치 등의 특징을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 낚시성 기사를 분류하기 위한 특징을 추출하고 성능을 검증해 본다. 기사에 달린 댓글의 키워드를 활용하여 대용량 학습데이터를 생성하고 이를 기반으로 다섯 가지 분류 특징을 추출하였다. 추출된 특징들은 서포트 벡터 머신 분류기를 이용한 실험에서 92%의 정확도를 보여 낚시성 인터넷 신문기사를 분류하는데 적합하다고 판단된다. 뿐만 아니라 제목과 본문의 일관성을 측정하기 위한 전처리 방법으로 고안한 선택적 바이그램 모델은 낚시성 인터넷 신문기사 분류 외에도 일반적인 단문 분석을 위한 전처리 방법으로 유용할 것으로 기대된다.

A new geomechanical approach to investigate the role of in-situ stresses and pore pressure on hydraulic fracture pressure profile in vertical and horizontal oil wells

  • Estimation of fracture initiation pressure is one of the most difficult technical challenges in hydraulic fracturing treatment of vertical or horizontal oil wells. In this study, the influence of in-situ stresses and pore pressure values on fracture initiation pressure and its profile in vertical and horizontal oil wells in a normal stress regime have been investigated. Cohesive elements with traction-separation law (XFEM-based cohesive law) are used for simulating the fracturing process in a fluid-solid coupling finite element model. The maximum nominal stress criterion is selected for initiation of damage in the cohesive elements. The stress intensity factors are verified for both XFEM-based cohesive law and analytical solution to show the validation of the cohesive law in fracture modeling where the compared results are in a very good agreement with less than 1% error. The results showed that, generally by increasing the difference between the maximum and minimum horizontal stress, the fracture pressure and its profile has been strongly changed in the vertical wells. Also, it's been clearly observed that in a horizontal well drilled in the direction of minimum horizontal stress, the values of fracture pressure have been significantly affected by the difference between overburden pressure and maximum horizontal stress. Additionally, increasing pore pressure from under-pressure regime to over-pressure state has made a considerable fall on fracture pressure in both vertical and horizontal oil wells.

Modeling and validation of a parabolic solar collector with a heat pipe absorber

  • Cylindrical parabolic solar concentrators of small concentration ratio are attractive options for working temperatures around $120^{\circ}C$. The heat gained can be utilized in many applications such as air conditioning, space heating, heating water and many others. These collectors can be easily manufactured and do not need to track the sun continuously. Using a heat pipe as a solar absorber makes the system more compact and easy to install. This study is devoted to modeling a system of cylindrical parabolic solar concentrators of small concentration ratio (around 5) fitted with a heat pipe absorber with a porous wick. The heat pipe is surrounded by evacuated glass tube to reduce thermal losses from the heat pipe. The liquid and vapor flow equations, energy equation, the internal and external boundary conditions were taken into consideration. The system of equations was solved and the numerical results were validated against available experimental and numerical results. The validated heat pipe model was inserted in an evacuated transparent glass tube as the absorber of the cylindrical parabolic collector. A calculation procedure was developed for the system, a computer program was developed and tested and numerical simulations were realized for the whole system. An experimental solar collector of small concentration, fitted with evacuated tube heat pipe absorber was constructed and instrumented. Experiments were realized with the concentrator axis along the E-W direction. Results of the instantaneous efficiency and heat gain were compared with numerical simulations realized under the same conditions and reasonably good agreement was found.

Identification of Candidate SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) for Growth and Carcass Traits Related to QTL on Chromosome 6 in Hanwoo (Korean Cattle)

  • As genetic markers, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) are very appropriate for the development of genetic tests for economic traits in livestock. Several microsatellite markers have been identified as useful markers for the genetic improvement of Hanwoo. Among those markers, ILSTS035 was recently mapped at a similar position with four SNPs (AH1_11, AH1_9, 31465_446, and 12273_165) in a linkage map of EST-based SNP in BAT6. Among the four SNPs, two SNPs (31465_446 and 12273_165) were analyzed using BLAST at the NCBI web site. The sequences including the 12273_165 SNP were identified at the intron region within the LOC534614 gene on the gene sequence map (Bos taurus NCBI Map view, build 3.1). The LOC534614 gene represents a protein similar to myosin heavy chain, fat skeletal muscle, embryonic isoform 1 in the dog, and myosin_1 (Myosin heavy chain D) in Macaca mulatta. In cattle, the myosin heavy chain was associated with muscle development. The phenotypic data for growth and carcass traits in the 415 animals were analyzed by the mixed ANCOVA (analysis of covariance) linear model using PROC GLM module in SAS v9.1. By the genotyping of Hanwoo individuals (n = 415) to evaluate the association of SNP with growth and carcass traits, it was shown that the 12273_165 SNP region within LOC534614 may be a candidate marker for growth. The results of the statistical analyses suggested that the genotype of the 12273_165 SNP significantly affected birth weight, weight of the cattle at 24 months of age, average daily gain and carcass cold weight (p<0.05). Consequently, the 12273_165 SNP polymorphisms at the LOC534614 gene may be associated with growth in Hanwoo, and functional validation of polymorphisms in LOC534614 should be performed in the future.

$^{32}$P-postlabelling법을 이용한 유기용제 작업장 근로자의 유전독성 평가 (An Assessment of Genotoxicity on Organic Solvent Workers by $^{32}$P-postlabelling Method)

  • To evaluate the genotoxicities of workers exposed to glue and glue cleaning solution, ambient air monitoring of working place, animal study and human monitoring were carried out. By GC-MS analysis, air samples collected from shoesmaking plant were found to be toluene, xylene, cyclohexane, n-hexane, methyl ethyl ketone, trichloroethylene, butylacetate, isopropyl alcohol. Glue and glue cleaning solution from shoesmaking plant were applicated topically to the CD-1 mice. DNA was isolated from skin 24 hr following the application and analysed for DNA-adducts using the nuclease $P_1$version of $^{32}$P-postlabelling assay. RAL (Relative Adduct Labelling, adducts$10^8$ nucleotides) was significantly increased in a dose-dependent manner in the glue cleaning solution treated mice skin. Peripheral blood DNA-adducts of workers exposed to glue and glue cleaning solution were also analysed by the same method, but there were not significant differences in the peripheral blood DNA-adducts level between exposed and control workers. In addition, glue cleaning solution from shoes factory was evaluated for mutagenicity in the Salmonella plate incorporation assay using strains TA 100 and TA 1535 in the presence and absence of Arochlor 1254-induced rat liver S$_{9}$. There was evident mutagenicity for cleaning solution in TA 100 regardless of $S_9$, but TA 1535 showed positive only in the absence of $S_9$when predicted by Stead model of mutagenicity prediction (p=0.0000). The urine concentrates from workers and controls were also assayed for mutagenicity towards strain TA 100 of Salmonella typhimurium in the presence of $S_9$ using Kado's microsuspension assay, but their mutagenic activities were not found to be significant. These data suggest that shoesmaking workers are exposed to genotoxic compounds and need to be monitored by testing the mutagenicity of human urines. However, $^{32}$P-postlabelling application requires further validation for the routine monitoring of human exposure.osure.

부동산 경기 변동과 MBS 조기상환의 관계, 그리고 그 정책적 함의 (Relationship between Real Estate Market and MBS Prepayment, and its Policy Implication)

  • 본 연구에서는 MBS의 위험 요소인 조기상환에 영향을 미치는 요인을 실증적으로 분석하고, 이에 더하여 이러한 정책의 함의를 짚어보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 2004년부터 2014년까지의 자료를 통하여 분석하였다. MBS 조기상환의 주요 요인은 다른 나라의 경우와 마찬가지로 이자율 하락에 따른 차환이다. 하지만, 기존 연구에서 주요하게 다루지 않았던 주택가격변동을 고려했을 때, 한국의 MBS는 주택가격이 상승할 때 조기상환이 증가하는 현상을 보이고 있다. 이는 외국의 연구결과가 보여주는, 경기 하강기 채무자의 상환능력 저하로 압류가 발생하면서 나타나는 외부에 의한 강제적 조기상환이 일어나는 것과 다른 현상이다. 또한, MBS 도입시 주택에 대한 인식전환(투자재에서 주거안정으로)과 그 결과 주택가격 안정을 목적으로 도입되었지만, MBS를 통해 주택자금의 조달이 수월해 지면서 발생할 수 있는 부작용이 작지 않을 수 있음을 보여주고 있어, 정책적 보완이 필요하다.

다목적2호기 태양전지판의 전개시스템 개발: PART 2. 지상전개실험 (Development of Multi-Purpose Satellite II with Deployable Solar Arrays: Part 2. Ground Deployment Experiments)

  • 본 논문은 변형에너지 힌지(Strain Eenergy Hinge)를 갖는 다목적 2호기의 태양전지판 전개에 대한 지상 전개실험과 이전 논문에서 다루었던 이론적인 모델링의 타당성에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구를 위해 먼저 이론적으로 설명하기 어려운 Stopper를 갖는 SEH에 대해 실험을 수행하여 비선형 좌굴 특성을 조사하였다. 이 특성은 태양전지판의 전개속도와 전개형태에 영향을 주므로 매우 중요하다. Stopper를 갖는 SEH의 실험 결과를 바탕으로 등가 모멘트-각도 선도를 도출하였으며 이 선도를 이론 모델과 결합하였다. 지상 전개 실험은 중력의 완전한 제거가 불가능하기 때문에 지지줄을 이용해 중력 보상을 시도하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 항공우주연구원에서 수행한 지상 전개 실험의 과정과 결과를 자세히 소개한다. 지상 전개실험 결과는 이론 모델에 근거한 수치 모사 결과와 잘 일치함을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 이론 모델링의 타당성을 입증하였다.
