The mechanics of woven fabric-based laminated composites is complex. Then, many researchers have studied woven fabric CFRP materials but fracture resistance behaviors for composites have not been still standardized. It also shows the different behavior according to load and fiber direction. Therefore, there is a need to consider fracture resistance behavior in conformity with load and fiber direction at designing structure using woven CFRP materials. In this study, therefore, the tensile strength and resistance for plain-weave CFRP composite materials were investigated under various different angle condition(load to fiber angle: $0^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$). Tensile strength and fracture toughness tests were carried out under mode I transverse crack opening load by using compact tension specimens.
In developing avionics systems, safety analysis and evaluation specified in SAE ARP4761 (Methods and Guidelines for Civil Aviation System and Equipment Safety Assessment Process) are carried out to prevent air accidents. Safety analysis requires knowledge of the abnormal state of the system, not its normal state, and its interrelationships with other standards. Therefore, a tool that automatically outputs data which proves compliance with safety certification standards is required. In this study,In this study, Schematized the safety analysis procedure of the specification and studied the method of applying the safety analysis CAD tools to individual procedure. As an example study, ARP4761 analysis was performed on the wheel brake system (WBS) of the ARP4761 appendix.

The purpose of this study is to perform the reliability-corrected development cost estimation of the launch vehicle at the conceptual design phase. In order to estimate the launch vehicle development cost, the estimation method based on the independent variable such as the rocket performance and dry mass has been mainly implemented up to now. This approach has made the approximate cost estimation possible, however, the cost variation according to the reliability requirement could not be reflected. In this paper, the cost estimation methodology that introduces the reliability factor in addition to the performance and mass in the TRANSCOST model is presented in order to improve the limitation of current cost estimation method. The development cost of KSLV(Korea Space Launch Vehicle)-II is estimated on the basis of this newly implemented concept with reliability as an added parameter.

Fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) bars are proving to be a valuable solution in the corrosion problem of steel reinforced concrete structures. As such, a number of guidelines for their use have been developed. These guidelines are primarily based on modifications to existing codes of practice for steel reinforced concrete structures. These guidelines are also similar in that though the design equations are presented in the partial factor formats that are often used in probability based design, they are not true probabilistic codes. Instead, they typically make use of already existing design factors for loads and resistances. Thus, when concrete structures reinforced FRP bars are designed, the structural reliability levels are not known. This paper investigates uncertainties of concrete beams reinforced with GFRP bars. Also, the structural reliability levels are evaluated for the flexural failure mode.

Fault injection attack is the process of attempting to acquire the information on-chip through inject artificially generated error code into the cryptographic algorithms operation (or perform) which is implemented in hardware or software. From the details above, the laser-assisted failure injection attacks have been proven particularly successful. In this paper, we propose an improved laser probing system for fault injection attack which is called the Dual-Laser FA tool set, a hybrid approach of the Flash-pumping laser and fiber laser. The main concept of the idea is to improve the laser probe through utilizing existing equipment. The proposed laser probe can be divided into two parts, which are Laser-I for laser cutting, and Laser-II for fault injection. We study the advantages of existing equipment, and consider the significant parameters such as energy, repetition rate, wavelength, etc. In this approach, it solves the high energy problem caused by flash-pumping laser in higher repetition frequency from the fiber laser.

Bare-chip packaging becomes more popular along with the miniaturization of IT components. In this paper, we have studied flip-chip process, and developed automated bonding system. Among the several bonding method, NCP bonding is chosen and batch-type equipment is manufactured. The dual optics and vision system aligns the chip with the substrate. The bonding head equipped with temperature and force controllers bonds the chip. The system can be easily modified for other bonding methods such as ACF In bonding process, the bonding forte and temperature are known as the most dominant bonding parameters. A parametric study is performed for these two parameters. For the test sample, we used standard flip-chip test kit which consists of FR4 boards and dummy flip-chips. The bonding test was performed fur two types of flip-chips with different chip size and lead pitch. The bonding temperatures are chosen between $25^{\circ}C\;to\;300^{\circ}C$. The bonding forces are chosen between 5N and 300N. The bonding strength is checked using bonding force tester. After the bonding force test, the samples are examined by microscope to determine the failure mode. The relations between the bonding strength and the bonding parameters are analyzed and compared with bonding models. Finally, the most suitable bonding condition is suggested in terms of temperature and force.

This study presents a dry precast concrete (PC) beam-column connection, and its target seismic performance level is set to be emulative to the reinforced concrete (RC) intermediate moment resisting frame system specified in ACI 318 and ASCE 7. The key features include self-sustaining ability during construction with the dry mechanical splicing method, enabling emulative connection performances and better constructability. Test specimens with code-compliant seismic details were fabricated and tested under reversed cyclic loading, which included a PC beam-column connection specimen with dry connections and an RC control specimen. The test results showed that all the specimens failed in a similar failure mode due to plastic deformations in beam members, while the hysteretic response curve of the PC specimen showed comparable and emulative performances compared to the RC specimen. Seismic performance evaluation was quantitatively addressed, and on this basis, it confirmed that the presented system can fully satisfy all the required performance for the intermediate RC moment resisting frame.

An actuator mixer design using convex optimization technique situation where the propulsion system of an electric VTOL UAV during vertical take-off and landing maneuvers is proposed. The attainable control set to analyze the impact from failure of each motor and propeller can be calculated and illustrated using the properties of the convex function. The control allocation can be defined as a convex function optimization problem to obtain an optimal solution in real time. The mixer is implemented using a convex optimization solver, and the performance of the control allocation methods is compared to the attainable control set. Finally, the proposed mixer is compared with other techniques with nonlinear sux degree-of-freedom simulation.

We reported the methodology for the shear test which is one of the evaluation procedure for mechanical reliability of flip-chip package. The shear speed and the tip height are found to be two significant experimental parameters in the shear test. We investigated how these two parameters have an influence on the results, the shear strength and failure mode. In order to prove these experimental inconsistency, simulation using finite element analysis was also conducted to calculate the shear strength and to figure out the distribution of plastic energy inside of the solder ball. The shear strength decreased while the tip height increased or the shear speed decreased. A variation in shear strength due to inconsistent shear conditions made confusion on analyzing experimental results. As a result, it was strongly needed to standardize the shear test method.

Asynchronous mode W-CDMA system is kmown to be quite appropriate to the next generation mobile communication system, especially in a non-homogenious cellular architecture. In this case, however, each base station needs to use different spreading code for identification, so it is a demeanding task for a mobile terminal to find the best cell site and get an accurate code synchronization at the beginning of a communication. Since slow acquisition of a base station could mean the failure of initiation, a fast algorithm to accelerate the cell search process is essential. In this paper, a new cell search algorithm based on the binary code position modulation within the code block is proposed. Different cell sites are identified by different hopping code sequences, andeach position modulation is performed by the hopping code. The proposed algorithm is proved to make the cell search time in most places in a cell much shorter than the previous algorithms, and to make the receiver implementation simpler.
