Mobile Entertainment is the new era in mobile communication. Mobile Entertainment service is a combination of games, music, videos, chatting and telecommunication which has created a wide market in India. There is a variation between male and female customers towards Mobile Entertainment services. This study is aimed at analyzing gender impact of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behaviour control intention and behaviour towards mobile entertainment services. The Theory of planned Behaviour (TPB) provided a framework. Total 566 male and 376 female mobile users of different age groups participated in the research. The data analysis was conducted in three-stages. First, reliability tests were performed. Upon satisfactory results, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) is used to analysis convergent, concurrent and discriminant validity of the model. Once the model was validated Structural Equation Model (SEM) Multi-group analysis is used to find the impact of gender behaviour towards Mobile entertainment services. The results of the study confirmed that the model is viable in predicting variation in gender impact on mobile entertainment services. The findings have revealed that attitude, perceived behaviour control and intention has a significant impact on behaviour to use mobile entertainment but subjective norm has no significant impact on behaviour to use mobile entertainment.

Internet protocol television (IPTV) service depends on the network quality of service (QoS) and bandwidth of the broadband service provider. IEEE 802.16j mobile multihop relay Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access networks have the opportunity to offer high bandwidth capacity by introducing relay stations. However, to actually satisfy QoS requirements for offering IPTV services (HDTV, SDTV, Web TV, and mobile TV) for heterogeneous users' requests, providers must use a video server for each IPTV service type, which increases the network load, especially bandwidth consumption and forwarding time. In this paper, we present a solution for forwarding IPTV video streaming to diverse subscribers via an 802.16j broadband wireless access network. In particular, we propose a new multicast tree construction and aggregation mechanism based on the unique property of prime numbers. Performance evaluation results show that the proposed scheme reduces both bandwidth consumption and forwarding time.

Mobile network infrastructure is being completed with the development of hardware and software for mobile devices. Network in mobile devices has evolved for telematics that is expanded much more than its existing concept. Telematics is compound word that is formed from the words "telecommunication" and "informatics". It means that telematics performs control and monitoring service with using mobile device resources. These services provide their services for users' requests through wired or wireless network from mobile devices and server that offers contents and network service collects management information of mobile devices. Map service is one of the preferred services for many telematics users. However, mobile map service has a limit between traffic and information sharing. Therefore it is very important to supply their information for both service provider and terminal user. In this paper, we design a new interactive sketch map using routes and information on the space to be applied effectively, and provide an extended document format that is defined to an extensible and dynamic clustering scheme to have portability map service for mobile device.

The explosive growth in wireless networks and Internet services has created considerable demand for mobile Internet services based on the mobile phone. Mobile Internet has become the new business model in telecommunication market, therefore the open network policy for mobile Internet has been formulated and implemented by the government in Korea. In spite of the open network policy for mobile Internet, there has been no systematic analysis of the various interconnection issues, including pricing, in mobile Internet network. This paper aims to suggest the interconnection pricing methods for mobile Internet network by reviewing the current pricing models for various communications services, and adapting them to mobile Internet communications circumstances. Results of this paper can be used as a guideline for government policy directions and management decision making after the introduction of the open network policy for mobile Internet.

In this paper, we have developed a technology-service relationship model which describes the diffusion process of a group of services and relevant technologies, and have applied the developed model to the prediction of the number of subscribers to the next generation mobile service. The technology-service relationship model developed in this paper incorporates the developing process of relevant technologies, a supply-side factor, into the diffusion process of specific services, while many diffusion models and multi-generation diffusion models in previous researches are mainly reflect the demand-side factors. So, the proposed model could effectively applied to the telecommunication services where the developing of the relevant technologies are very essential to the service Penetration. In our application, the Proposed model provides a competitive substitution between the next generation mobile service and the traditional mobile service.

본 연구의 목적은 이동통신서비스 환경에서 서비스 사용자가 인지한 품질과 서비스 사용을 통한 만족 등의 요소가 사업자와의 상호 작용을 통해 획득한 정보 공유태도, 정보공유의도에 미치는 영향을 설명하는데 있다. 이는 현재 정부의 통신서비스 품질 정책 수립을 위해 베타터스터 및 측정 장비를 활용하여 측정하고 그 결과를 분석하는 방식에서, 국민이 품질측정시스템에 직접 접속하여 측정한 품질측정 정보에 대한 만족, 정보 공유의사확인을 통해 어떤 소비자가 공유의사가 높은지, 통계적 타당성 확보를 통한 정책적 아이디어를 제공하고자 하였다. 이동통신서비스 이용자를 대상으로 실증분석결과, 이동통신서비스의 데이터 품질은 음성품질보다 만족에 큰 영향을 끼쳤으며, 품질요소와 만족, 정보공유태도와 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 끼침을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 실증적 연구결과를 바탕으로 국민의 품질측정데이터 공유의도 확인을 통해 크라우드 소싱을 활용한 정책사례로 추진 가능한 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

This paper aims to investigate the adjustment effect of switching barriers on customer retention in mobile telecommunication services. The detailed factors regarding switching barriers are classified based on the related literatures. Furthermore, the hierarchical regression analysis is used to analyze the extent to which the factors affect customer retention. The main contribution of this paper is to focus on switching barriers and theirs relationships with customer retention rather than customer satisfaction on early studies. The results are as follows: First, among the factors of switching barriers, switching costs, such as continuity cost and contractual cost, interpersonal relationship, and attractiveness of alternatives are key factors in determining customer retention. Second, continuity cost and interpersonal relationship have an adjustment effect between customer satisfaction and customer retention. The findings can help the mobile operators establish a customer-oriented strategy by identifying a few key factors strengthening the linkage with customers.

With the arrival of 3rd generation cellular networks it is expected that a lot of new cellular services will be available to the mobile users like video calling, location based services etc. Similarly MBMS is one such service which is targeted for 3G mobile users for viewing talk shows, live sport events etc. One shall view this service like a small portable T.V being carried by the mobile user. The user watches the programs of his liking by joining if he wishes. In this paper we focus on the possible UTRAN architectures to provide MBMS service within UMIS networks. The paper primarily focuses on the requirement aspect, notification aspect and the mobility aspect. The paper lists many options for notifications and elaborates on them in terms of pros and cons. In the end the paper conclude with an UTRAN architecture for MBMS service which meets the requirements of this service as well as makes minimum changes to the existing UTRAN architecture while attempting to save terminal power for this service.

이동통신 서비스 제공을 위한 필수적인 요소자원인 주파수는 그 대역의 특성에 따라 사업자의 서비스 제공 경쟁력을 크게 좌우할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 주파수 자원에서도 상대적으로 우수한 특성을 가져 서비스 제공 상 우위를 가지며 경쟁정책적인 관리가 필요한 이동통신 주파수 대역을 핵심 우량대역이라고 정의한다. 이를 위해서 기술적 특성이 아닌 시장상황을 고려한 주파수의 활용성 및 경제적 효율성 측면의 4가지 기준(글로벌소싱 및 호환성, 비용-효율성, 주파수 활용 경험, 현재의 활용가능성)을 수립하였다. 이러한 기준들을 순차적으로 적용하여, 우량 주파수 대역 후보들을 추출하고 단계적인 평가기준을 통해서 현재시점에서의 최종적인 핵심 우량대역을 식별하였다. 또한 이러한 결과는 기술의 발전과 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 특성을 보여준다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 이동통신 주파수에 대한 경쟁관리정책뿐만 아니라 할당정책에도 논리적 근거로 활용될 수 있는 실용적 의의를 지닌다.

최근 이동통신 시스템은 WCDMA(wideband code division multiple access)를 기반으로 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하고 있다. 2013년 11월 통계에 따르면 국내 이동통신 가입자 수는 피처폰과 스마트폰 사용자를 모두 합하여, 5451만4397명으로 분석되었다. 따라서 이동통신 서비스 이용자는 이미 전체 인구수를 400만 명이상을 추월했다. 이동통신 가입자의 급격한 증가로 인해 이동통신 서비스 망의 운용과 분석은 무엇보다 중요하며, 그에 따른 서비스 품질도 다양하게 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 CDMA(code division multiple access)를 기반으로 하는 피처폰과 WCDMA를 기반으로 하는 스마트폰의 안정적인 서비스 지원을 위하여 이동통신망의 채널용량을 산출할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 구현하고, 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 이동통신 서비스 환경에 따른 다양한 채널용량 특성을 분석하였다.
