Mobile Sensor Network Simulator for Efficient Sensing Coverage (효율적인 센싱 Coverage를 위한 모바일 센서 네트워크 시뮬레이터)

  • 지형의 상태를 정확히 알 수 없는 타겟 지역에 모바일 센서 네트워크를 구축하는 것은 타겟 지역에 필요한 센서 노드의 수, 유지되어야 할 connectivity, 센서 노드들에 의해 타겟 지역이 coverage 되는 비율을 예측 할 수 없기 때문에 그 효율성을 가늠하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서 설계한 MSNS(Mobile Sensor Network Simulator)는 GML 문서를 통해 실제 지도상의 개체를 가시화 하고 Map Object의 장애물 여부를 설정하여 타겟 지역을 구성한다. 이를 기반으로 MSNS는 센서 노드의 수와 connectivity degree 그리고 센서 노드들의 센싱/통신/초음파 범위를 입력 받아 센서 노드의 현재 위치 정보, connectivity, 센싱 coverage를 가시화 하여 타겟 지역에 얼마나 많은 노드들이 필요한지 유추할 수 있다.

  • Recently, due to many industrial accidents at construction sites, a variety of researches for structural health monitoring (SHM) of buildings are progressing. For real site application of SHM, one of the advanced technologies has blown as wireless sensor networks (WSN). In this paper, we proposed WIVA(WSN Monitoring framework based on 3D Visualization and Augmented Reality in Mobile Devices) system that applies 3D visualization and AR technology to mobile devices with camera based on WSN in order to expand the extent of information can observe. Moreover, we performed experiments to validate effectiveness in 3D and AR mode that utilize WSN data based on IEEE 802.15.4. In real implementation scenario, we demonstrated a fire occurrence test in 3-story building miniature.

  • The home network technology which used USN is developing quickly. Use yet line to a lot of part as home network technology. Recently be leap into prominence to technology core of home network as wireless technology a ZigBee. ZigBee Perceive with cognition from tag and sensor as use USN, and processing, save, integration, and provide information. Implement the access control system which used technology BigBee with design at these papers. The wireless-based construction that used ZigBee. The influence that can let you implement early a Ubiquitous society is technology there being. Also, show by a large spinoff in an allied industry field, and improve the quality of life, and invention calls value added of leading edge IT service and product. The implementation of mobile base on access control system using zigbee method is expected to be helpful for the convenience in home network use.

  • Recent technological advances allow us to envision a future where large numbers of low-power, inexpensive sensor devices are densely embedded in the physical environment, operating together in a wireless network. This paper considers localization for mobile sensors; localization must be invoked periodically to enable the sensors to track their location. Localizing more frequently allows the sensors to more accurately track their location in the presence of mobility. In this paper, we test and analyze the accuracy of a moving node localization by Received Signal Strength (RSS).

  • This paper suggests the vehicle remote control on the basis of Smart Phone. In general, most smart phone is mounted with G-sensor to control the motion. G-sensor is able to control several directions and movements of velocity along with X, Y, and Z axis. To access remote location and data system, we can also utilize Wi-Fi communication as well as bluetooth communication. In this study, we propose the scheme that is the car management application by remote control via real-time monitoring on mobile device for user convenience.

  • Sensor Registry System (SRS) has been devised for maintaining semantic interoperability of data on heterogeneous sensor networks. SRS measures the connectability of the mobile device to ambient sensors based on positions and only provides metadata of sensors that may be successfully connected. The step of identifying the ambient sensors which can be successfully connected is called sensor filtering. Improving the performance of sensor filtering is one of the core issues of SRS research. In reality, GPS sometimes shows the wrong position and thus leads to failed sensor filtering. Therefore, this paper proposes a new sensor filtering strategy using geographical embedding and neural network-based path prediction. This paper also evaluates the service provision rate with the Monte Carlo approach. The empirical study shows that the proposed method can compensate for position abnormalities and is an effective model for sensor filtering in SRS.

  • In this paper, the motion coordination algorithm of mobile agents in active sensor network is proposed to track the dynamic boundary for environmental monitoring. While most of dynamic boundary tracking algorithms in the literature were studied under the assumption that the boundary and/or its evolving rate is known a priori, the proposed algorithm is assumed that the individual active agent can measure the state of environment locally without any information of the boundary. When the boundary is evolving dynamically, the formation of active agents is designed to achieve two objectives. One is to track boundary layer based on the measured information and a small deviation. The other is to maintain a uniform distance between adjacent agents. The algorithm structure based on a state diagram is proposed to achieve these two objectives. Finally, it will be shown in the simulations that all given agents converge to a desired boundary layer and maintain a formation along the boundary. (e.g., a circle, an ellipse, a triangle and a rectangle)

Mobile Remote Healthcare in Ubiquitous Computing Environments (유비쿼터스 환경에서 모바일을 이용한 원격 헬스케어)

  • In this paper, we proposed a multi-agent based healthcare system (MAHS) which is the combination of medical sensor module and wireless communication technology. This MAHS provides wide services to mobile telemedicine, patient monitoring, emergency management, doctor's diagnosis and prescription, patients and doctors, information exchange between hospital workers in a long distance. Also, MAHS is connected to Body Area Network (BAN) and a doctor and hospital workers. In addition, we designed and implemented extended JADE based MAHS that reduces hospital server's burden. Agents gather, integrate, and deliver the collected patient's information from sensor, and provide presentation in healthcare environment. Proposed MAHS has advantage that can handle urgent situation in the far away area from hospital like Islands through PDA and mobile device. In addition, by monitoring condition of patient (old man) in a real time base, it shortens time and expense and supports medical service efficiently.

Position Estimation of a Mobile Robot Based on USN and Encoder and Development of Tele-operation System using Internet (USN과 회전 센서를 이용한 이동로봇의 위치인식과 인터넷을 통한 원격제어 시스템 개발)

  • This paper proposes a position estimation of a mobile robot based on USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) and encoder, and development of tele-operation system using Internet. USN used in experiments is based on ZigBee protocol and has location estimation engine which uses RSSI signal to estimate distance between nodes. By distortion the estimated distance using RSSI is not correct, compensation method is needed. We obtained fuzzy model to calculate more accurate distance between nodes and use encoder which is built in robot to estimate accurate position of robot. Based on proposed position estimation method, tele-operation system was developed. We show by experiment that proposed method is more appropriate for estimation of position and remote navigation of mobile robot through Internet.

  • The main issues of the researches are monitoring environment such as weather or temperature variation and natural accident, and sensor gateways which have mobile device, applications for mobile health care. In this paper, we propose the SFMS(Smart Factory Management System) that can effectively monitor and manage a green smart factory area based on M2M service and smart phone with android OS platform. The proposed system is performed based on the TinyOS-based IEEE 802.15.4 protocol stack. To validate system functionality, we built sensor network environments where were equipped with four application sensors such as Temp/Hum, PIR, door, and camera sensor. We also built and tested the SFMS system to provide a novel model for event detection systems with smart phone.
