We have developed the Mobile Multi Sensor System(MMSS) for the data construction of 4S application and for basic technology acquisition of mobile mapping system in Korea. Using this MMSS, we will collect the information of road and road facilities for DB creation and also construct the Digital Elevation Model(DEM) as ancillary data in urban area. The MMSS consist of the integrated navigation sensor, DGPS & IMU, and digital CCD camera set. In the S/W aspect, we developed the post-processing components for extracting the 3D coordinate information (Spatial Information) and the client program for the MMSS user group. In this paper, we will overview the MMSS constitution and post-processing program, and introduce the utilization plan of MMSS.

Motivated by the Communication Broadcasting Convergence service, various technical approaches are being used to develop more efficient antenna models. This paper proposes a compact mobile antenna which is attachable to a cell phone and is applicable for Communication Broadcasting Convergence. In the design of the antennas for mobile handsets, size reduction is a crucial factor. In this paper, the compactness of a loop antenna is realized by bending a folded-dipole. A short planar dipole is transformed to a twice folded dipole and a loop antenna to produce a larger input resistance. The current distribution of the antenna is the same as a loop antenna, and its radiation patterns are omni-directional. We also analyze the performance of the RFID antenna by exploring the current-induced near field radiation patterns using a electro-optic field mapping system.

The purpose of this paper is to propose an improvement method of BER for coded 16QAM over Rayleigh fading channel. To overcome the BER degradation due to the fading under mobile communication, we apply trellis coded modulation technique which is efficient to get a coding gain without the expansion of bandwidth. Especially, to minimize the burst error which are the main factor of the BER degradation for mobile communication systems, we apply interleaving/deinterleaving method to the studying system. Also we apply asymmetric signal mapping methods to this TCM scheme. From the computer simulation, BER performance of asymmetric case has achieved about 1 dB improvement of about $10^{-4}$, compared to the traditional symmetric case.

Path finding is a key element in the navigation of a mobile robot. To find a path, robot should know their position exactly, since the position error exposes a robot to many dangerous conditions. It could make a robot move to a wrong direction so that it may have damage by collision by the surrounding obstacles. We propose a method obtaining an accurate robot position. The localization of a mobile robot in its working environment performs by using a vision system and Virtual Reality Modeling Language(VRML). The robot identifies landmarks located in the environment. An image processing and neural network pattern matching techniques have been applied to find location of the robot. After the self-positioning procedure, the 2-D scene of the vision is overlaid onto a VRML scene. This paper describes how to realize the self-positioning, and shows the overlay between the 2-D and VRML scenes. The suggested method defines a robot's path successfully. An experiment using the suggested algorithm apply to a mobile robot has been performed and the result shows a good path tracking.

The road sign location information installed on national roads is continuously updated using MMS (Mobile Mapping System) technology. It is possible to map accurate road facilities by MMS, but the equipment is very expensive and requires specialized technology. Also, the accuracy of the position of the object greatly depends on the GPS (Global Positioning System) accuracy. In the case of road facility mapping, the advantage of drone is more remarkable than that of field survey or conventional aerial photogrammetry. In particular, it is more efficient than field surveying and it is possible to acquire high resolution images with low budget compared to conventional aerial photogrammetry. In this study, the accuracy of the location information measured by the existing MMS is compared with the GPS survey result and the accuracy analysis is performed by the drone aerial photogrammetry. In order to confirm the space accuracy that can be obtained when conducting drone aerial photogrammetry, the accuracy of the change in the number of ground control points and the degree of overlap was evaluated. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to obtain sufficient accuracy with two ground control points distributed at both ends of the road and 60% overlap.

A geographic survey, which requires much of working hours in the digital mapping process, is consisted with the complementary survey and the attribute survey of topography and topographic features, and depended on the field survey. In previous research, using the location-based image had been recommended for diminishing the workload of field survey and post processing. For this research, we have developed the hardware and software for gathering and processing the location-based images with referencing results from the previous research. Those Geographic surveys were performed using developed system on 1/5,000 map sheets for Si and Gun area, respectively. The results have been evaluated as the mobile geographic survey system were able to replace the large part of field survey, and also the working hours were decreased by 37.5% at Si area. However, the complementary survey was needed for the attributes of topography and topographic features that were occluded by the parked vehicles or located in the areas without entry of vehicles.

In this paper, a cultivation traceability system to implement smart agriculture developed and implemented, and in particular, devised a system that manages the cultivation traceability of grains that are difficult to grow in smart farms. Mobile and web programs based on smart devices are designed, and the collected information is stored in a DB server and can be used as big data. In addition, real-time location information and agricultural activity information can be matched using an electronic map(Vworld) based on GIS/LBS applying GPS of a mobile device. By designing the cultivation traceability information DB required in the field, the farmhouse, farmers, and cultivation information were developed to make it easy for managers to use, and implemented mobile and web programs in the field. The system is expected to raise the quality and safety management capabilities to the next level in response to variables such as labor saving effect and climate change.
Purpose: This study aimed to design user interfaces of a mobile application for managing pressure injury patients in a long-term care hospital based on the user's needs. Methods: To reflect users' needs in the mobile application, the user interfaces in this study were designed in five steps: brainstorming and mind mapping, persona and scenario, needs list and priority, a draft version of flow chart and user interfaces and expert review. These steps were conducted with a step nurse at a long-term care hospital, a professor who majored in nursing informatics, a professor who had lots of research experiences about pressure injury and a wound ostomy continence nurse. Results: Two personas, scenarios and needs' lists were derived. Listed Needs included the followings; Accurate staging of pressure injury; Appropriate management by staging; Acquisition of professional knowledge about pressure injury; Acquisition of easy pressure injury information through text, picture and video; and Sharing pressure injury information in unit. The structure, menus and features of the pressure injury mobile application were visualized with user flow based on two personas' scenarios and needs' lists. Conclusion: Our study suggests and visualizes the key features of the 'Pressure Injury Guide', a pressure injury management mobile application for nurses in a long-term care hospital, which can be utilized by nurses, application developers, and related researchers.

Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is not just extensions of cloud concepts into mobile environments, but the service technologies that all mobile devices including smartphone can use the desired services by using cloud technology without the constraints of time and space. Currently, a lot of works on mobile cloud computing have been actively researching, whereas user interfaces are not so much researched. The main features and contributions of this paper are as follows. First, develop UI considering UX that is different from conventional interfaces supported by SPICE. Second, combine two button interface into one button interface when keyboard is used in mobile cloud computing clients. Third, develop a mouse interface suitable for mobile cloud computing clients. Fourth, in mobile cloud computing client, solve a problem that the selection of button/files/folder has at the corner. Finally, in mobile cloud computing clients we change mouse scroll mapping functions from volume button to scroll interface in touch-screen. The results of performance evaluation shows that users can input easily with the increased and fixed mouse interface. Since shortcut keys instead of the complex button keys of keyboard are provided, the input with 3-6 steps is reduced into 1 step, which can simply support complex keys and mouse input for users.

Low fertility rates and increased life expectancy further exacerbate the process of an aging society. This is also reflected in the gradual increase in the proportion of vulnerable groups in the social population. The demand for improved mobility among vulnerable groups such as the elderly or the disabled has greatly driven the growth of the electric-assisted mobility device market. However, such mobile devices generally require a certain operating capability, which limits the range of vulnerable groups who can use the device and increases the cost of learning. Therefore, autonomous driving technology needs to be introduced to make mobility easier for a wider range of vulnerable groups to meet their needs of work and leisure in different environments. This study uses mini PC Odyssey, Velodyne Lidar VLP-16, electronic device and Linux-based ROS program to realize the functions of working environment recognition, simultaneous localization, map generation and navigation of electric powered mobile devices for vulnerable groups. This autonomous driving mobility device is expected to be of great help to the vulnerable who lack the immediate response in dangerous situations.
