  • Mobile service, which is related to all stages of supply chain, can enhance the efficiency of perception and response of the participants. The advantage of mobile service is ubiquity, speed, traceability, positioning, personalization and safety. The purpose of this paper is to propose an overall framework utilizing mobile service in SCM. In the areas of inventory management, remote diagnostics, communications with field workers, and order fulfillment, customer-centric mobile supply web is proposed and implemented for the wireless warehousing and replenishment system.

  • Recently, many WMS(Web Mapping Services) and POI(Point of Interest) service on to be in service on the Internet using Web CIS(Geographic Information System) as information Technology and computer HW are evolved faster in its speed, network bandwidth and features. The Web GIS is, however, limited and constrained on the specification of its system configuration, the service class provided and the presentation methodology of a map. As the mobile Internet becomes popular in mobile service, Web GIS service on mobile environment is strongly required and to be provided by LBS(Location Based Service) on a mobile client such as PDA with location information of the user. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web mapping service. For implementing the thin client GIS computing environment, we were using NGII's(National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF map, representing the map by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium), and adapting standard XML web service to provide the thin client GIS service on PDA by applying the location information of the user in realtime with GPS on mobile environment.

  • Recently, the demand for various contents and mobile web service has been rising due to the improvement of the techniques of wireless networks. In mobile web service, it is essential to exchange the device informations and contents using specific information which are standardized for users, operators and contents providers. This is based on the existing service providers based on the existing terminal, which provides information to help plan and operate independently of the mobile Web services and content services for various users needs. In this paper, the interoperable DDL is proposed for providing contents to fit with each different mobile device, which contributes toward the optimized mobile web service and guarantee the interoperability of device information. and we implemented the device information processing system, which has the purpose of servicing the device information and verifying the result to the interoperability of mobile web service on proposed DDL and the description language of the device information.

  • The Kalman Filter is one of the most common techniques of tracking mobile user. Web service is a promising method of reusing programs. Therefore, this paper presents our implementation of Kalman Filter web service. There are three ways of implementing a web service system. Ours is Kalman filter as RPC web service.

  • In this paper, we suggest performance enhanced Mobile Web service architecture. Mobile Web Services are new technology that integrates different applications to provide interoperability. SOAP is a lightweight message exchanging protocol and is a principal factor that decides the Web Services performance. When a mobile Web Service is implemented with the Java technology, it should be implemented with both a SOAP message processor like AXIS, and Java Servlet container (e.g. Tomcat). This typical implementation is not efficient because it requires an additional communication port and process. In this paper, we suggest a new method that replaces this typical approach to enhance Web Service performance.

  • According to the scale of mobile applications has been expanded, the high coupled application combined mobile and web service are growing. The growth of mobile application's size means that predicting design for variability should be involved. If mobile application's change is occurred, application should be reinstalled totally. However this reinstallation can raise side-effects in case of high-coupling application. Therefore, this paper proposes a technique of customization for changing web service protocol as the mobile applications are connected with web service in android platform. Proposed protocol customization technique is consist of selection and plug-in technique.

An Enhanced SOAP Message Processing System for Mobile Web Services

  • Web services are key applications in business­to-business, business-to-customer, and enterprise applications integration solutions. As the mobile internet becomes one of the main methods for information delivery, mobile Web Services are regarded as a critical aspect of e-business architecture. In this paper, we proposed a mobile Web Services middleware that converts conventional internet services into mobile Web services. We implemented a WSDL (Web Service Description Language) builder that converts HTML/XML into WSDL and a SAOP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message processor that performs SOAP message handling, chain and handling of server requests. The former minimizes the overhead cost of rebuilding mobile Web Services and enables seamless services between wired and wireless internet services. The latter enhances SOAP processing performance by eliminating the Servlet container (Tomcat), a required component of typical Web services implementation. Our main contributions are to overcome the latency problem of current Web Services and to provide an easy mobile Web service implementation. Our system can completely support standard Web Services protocol, minimizing communication overhead, message processing time, and server overload. Finally we compare our empirical results with those of typical Web Services.

  • Recently, the mobile Internet is rapidly changing environment in a user's web server performance requires frequent connection is difficult because the proper response is needed to improve the performance of web services engine. Therefore, the goal of this paper is to improve the performance of web services for the installation of additional access to users regardless of tomcat servlet container and process the request and to shorten processing time of SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) message of the server structure to of for web mobile services. The web-sever structure is consists of user demand receiver, web document processor, SOAP protocol processor, NBTM(Non-Blocking and Thread Manager) manager, session manager. The system fully supports a standard web-service protocol, reduces the message processing time and communication overhead of mobile web-service system in Web 2.0 and overhead of server, and confirms the improvement of capability by comparing and evaluating Web 2.0 standard mobile web-service system through delaying achievement evaluation by the experiment of realization in Web 2.0 environment.

  • There are POP3(Post Office Progocol 3) and IMAP4(Internet Message Access Protocol 4) for E-Mail service of wire Internet For mobile e-mail service that use wireless Internet, must use exclusive use mobile e-mail server in the case of POP3 e-mail or flow e-mail conversion and because e-mail is kept in sever side with remote file server in case of IMAP4 mail that is used by Web-Mail, utilization of mobile e-mail service is difficult by mobile client who there is no IMAP4 rules. This thesis embodying e-mail extraction engine for mobile that do to design markup language converter of XML base, and use Web-Mail of recently been generalizing IMAP4 base in mobile, presented mobile e-mail service method to do so that can use Web-Mail that is based on IMAP4 as well as POP3 mail service in mobile environment.

  • Recently the computing environment has been moved to open architectures that include Web technologies. Web Service is one of import component of the new paradigm. This paper presents a design and implementation of GIS Web Service for mobile devices. As many mobile devices are equipped with GPS (Global Positioning System), it is required to handle the position information more effectively. We have extended the proxy program in the client device to actively send the context information to the server. Based on the context information the server determines the optimal service mode to a particular client. A working example of location?based GIS Web Service is also presented. By using Web Service standards and XML messages we can achieve the maximal interoperability for heterogeneous mobile devices.
