  • Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) based on the mobile social networking service (SNS) on dysfunctional beliefs and attitudes about sleep, sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, depression, and quality of life among rotatingshift nurses in a hospital in Korea. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre-post test design was used. The participants included 55 nurses with rotating three-shift work (25 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group). For the experimental group, CBT-I using mobile SNS was provided once a week for 60 minutes over six weeks. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, $x^2-test$, independent samples t-test, and Mann-whitney U test with the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: In the homogeneity test of the general characteristics and study variables, there were no significant differences between the two groups. Nurses in the experimental group had significantly lower scores on dysfunctional beliefs and attitudes regarding sleep and sleepiness than nurses in the control group. Nurses in the experimental group had significantly higher scores on sleep quality and quality of life than nurses in the control group. Conclusion: These findings indicate that using the mobile SNS-based CBT-I is feasible and has significant and positive treatment-related effects on rotating-shift nurses' irrational thoughts and beliefs in association with sleep, sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, and quality of life. These contribute to expanding our knowledge of rotating-shift nurses' sleep issues and their preferences for intervention.

  • The popularity of mobile devices provides their users with a circumstance that services and information can be accessed wherever and whenever users need. Accordingly, various studies have been proposed personalized methods to improve accessibility of mobile users to information. However, since these personalized methods require users' private information, they gives rise to problems on security. An efficient way to resolve security problems is to estimate user information by using their online and offline behavior. In this paper, for this purpose, it is proposed a novel user information identification system that identifies users' personal and social information by using both his/her behavior on social network services and proximity patterns obtained from GPS data. In the proposed system, personal information of a user like age, gender, and so on is estimated by analyzing SNS texts and POI (Point of Interest) patterns, while social information between a pair of users like family and friend is predicted with proximity patterns between the users. Each identification module is efficiently designed to handle the characteristics of user data like much noise in SNS texts and missing signals in GPS data. In experiments to evaluate the proposed system, our system shows its superiority against ordinary identification methods. This result means that the proposed system can efficiently reflect the characteristics of user data.

  • Shopping patterns are changing with the emergence of SNS. Recently, it is also interested in providing the information based on the users' needs. Generally, the provided information is obtained from the history of users' simple browsing. Best selling hot item list is also provided in order to reflect the preferences of public users. However, the provided information is irrelevant to an individual preference. In this paper, we propose a method to utilize inner and outer SNS for analyzing public preferences about goods which are interested by individual users. The inner analyzing module collects and analyzes the preferences of community members about two goods designated by individual users. The outer analyzing module supports to analyze public preferences by using the tweeter SNS. The results of implementation show that it is possible to recommend goods based on the individual users' preferences unlike the existing shopping mall.

  • Due to rapid spread of smart phones and SNS(Social Network Service), using of Internet applications has increased and taking up bandwidth more than 3G network's capacity recently. This caused reduction of speed and service quality, and occurred strong needs that backbone network company to increasing investment costs. Also a great rise of mobile network users causing identity management problems on mobile service provider through mobile network. This paper proposes advanced IDM3G[1] - to solve user ID management and security problems on mobile internet application services over 3G network and more - authentication management protocol. $I^2DM$ protocol breakup loads which made by existing IDM3G protocol's mutual authentication via mobile operator, via sending some parts to internet application service provider, enhancing mobile and ID management of service provider and network load and process load from information handling and numbers of transmitting packets, to suggest more optimized protocol against further demanding of 3G mobile network.

  • Recently, in order to provide the mobile multimedia service cost-effectively, the user's demand has been greatly increasing to use wireless LAN (WLAN). But existing WLAN (Wireless LAN) is vulnerable to attack of outside, as users are connecting AP using Open Authentication. In this article, we have designed and implemented WLAN Information Sharing System using social network service (SNS) which is efficiently managing. WLAN secure key. A proposed WLAN Information Sharing System model has been proposed in which the social trust strength between people is employed for WLAN access control.

  • The development of mobile social networking service (SNS) triggers the growth of social commerce industry. Customers rely considerably on electronic word of mouth (eWOM) to make purchasing decisions. Thus, SNS is an important commercial platform that offers attractive opportunities and challenges to firms. This study sheds light on the role of SNS as a social commerce platform by focusing on WeChat, the most popular SNS in China. This study identifies three different types of trust based on SNS that customers perceive in the context of social commerce. These types of trust are contents trust, source trust, and platform trust. This study suggests the antecedents and consequences of each trust. Our results prove that eWOM intention relies on contents trust and source trust, whereas purchase intention depends on contents trust, source trust, and platform trust. This study also finds that contents trust is positively influenced by source trust and platform trust. Finally, the result verifies the key antecedents of each trust, namely, vividness and timeliness for contents trust, competence, benevolence, and integrity for source trust, and instrumental need and social need for platform trust. The discussion and implications on the findings are provided.
