  • The market share of smartphones has been increasing more and more at the recent mobile market and smart devices and applications that are based on a variety of operating systems has been released. Given this reality, the importance of smart devices analysis is coming to the fore and the most important thing is to minimize data corruption when extracting data from the device in order to analyze user behavior. In this paper, we compare and analyze the area-specific changes that are the file system of collected image after obtaining root privileges on the Android OS and iOS based devices, and then propose the most efficient method to obtain root privileges.

  • In this paper, economic miniature RF transmitter module for intelligent transportation system(ITS) is described. This module which consists of ASK modulator, frequency synthesizer, power amplifier is operating at 5.8 GHz frequency band and implemented by using LTCC process technique. Thus, ultra small size of 0.8 CC and improved electrical performances has been obtained. From the test results, transmitting characteristics of 10 dBm ouput power and -46 dBc interchannel interference with 1.024 Mbps ASK modulated have been shown. Frequency synthesizer as a transmitting signal source reveals very short locking time of 26 usec and outstanding phase noise of -115 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from 5.8 GHz center frequency.

  • Piezoelectric vibrators can be good replacements of electric motors to excite touch screen of a mobile device owing to small volume and low power consumption. One problem to be solved yet for real application is larger excitation force or moment than available currently. More efficient excitation by a piezoelectric vibrator could be achieved by operating at one of resonance frequencies of the system, which must also be as close as possible to frequency range where index finger is most sensitive and increasing transmission force or moment at that frequency. In this study, dynamic models are derived for the piezoelectric exciter and an adhesive viscoelastic layer, which connect the exciter to the screen. The adhesive layer is modeled as distributed stiffness by considering its geometric shape to relative to the piezoelectric exciter. Then, equations of motion for the piezoelectric exciter and the adhesive layer are derived using Hamilton's principle. Based on this model, dynamic characteristics of the exciter will be designed to maximize the force or moment transmitted onto the screen structure.

  • As high speed internet users are tremendously increasing, three are keenly in need of development of high speed portable internet technology which can provide high quality wireless internet service cheaply even in the mobile. Unlike the FDD-CDMA, TDD-OFDMA has relatively poor wave environment with inducing interference, fading and delay because it agrees to multi-carrier modulation method and time-division radio telecommunication system. To solve this problem, it is necessary to develop repeater operating by digital signal processing method which have more strict wireless channel control and wave signal processing technology over TDD telecommunication equipments. This thesis is dealing with design and implementation of Digital RF Repeater which implemented 'Synchronization Acquisition Unit', 'TDD signal switching Unit', 'Feedback Signal Cancellation Unit'. Over this argument, we will develop digital RF repeater with more cheap, more adaptive in wave environment like oscillation control, adaptive wave monitoring and output increasing and having control function as a result it will be helpful for success in high speed portable internet service business.

  • Integrated RFID-WSNs (wireless sensor networks) have recently been researched to provide object identities, sensing information, mobile service, and network functionalities. In integrated RFID-WSNs, the reader collision is one of the critical problems. Above all, due to the absence of universally applicable anti-collision protocols and the channel capture phenomenon, the medium access control protocols in integrated RFID-WSNs suffer from reader collision and starvation problems. In this paper, we propose an efficient MAC protocol, called EMP, to avoid the above problems in integrated RFID-WSNs. EMP is a CSMA-based MAC protocol which is compatible with sensor networks operating on integrated nodes which consist of an RFID reader and a senor node. EMP resolves not only the reader collision problem, but also the starvation problem using a power control mechanism. To verify the performance of EMP, we compared it with other anti-reader collision MAC protocols using simulations. As a result, the performance of EMP showed improvements in throughput, system efficiency, and energy consumption compared to the single data channel protocols (CSMA/CA, Pulse, and DiCa) in dense deployment environments.

  • This paper is dedicated to the development of cooling devices such as mLHP with Fan-Fin system limited by noise and vibration. As we know, Heat pipe has the limitation of cooling capability to cool down the electronics. It is bounded by capillary and thermal limitation but heat load that it has to deal with is increasing. Especially Today's electronic technology has a tendency to integrate lots of function into the small piece of a processor like Dual core having 35W heat load for mobile and desktop computer respectively. There is an optimum operating condition of temperature, below $70^{\circ}C$, during the maximum heat load, 35W. There is the motivation needed to develop the new type of cooling devices and we can discuss about the new challenge beyond heat pipe.

  • In this paper, we have developed a retrodirective active array operating in the 2 GHz LS band. The retrodirective array has the property of re-directing any electromagnetic wave back to the incoming direction without any priory informations. The system is consisted of frequency mixers and antenna array. The mixer is acting as a phase conjugator. In this research, 2-port gate mixers using pHEMT and 1${\times}$4 monopole array have been used. The retrodirective array developed in this research can be applied in the base station facilities for the wireless mobile communications and RFID transponders.

  • In this paper, a low noise amplifier has been developed, which is operating at L-band i.e., 1525-1575 MHz. By using resistive decoupling circuits, the resistor dissipates undesired signal in low frequency band. By adopting this design method the stability of the LNA is increased and the input impedance matching is improved. The LNA consists of the low noise GaAs FET ATF-10136 and the internally matched VNA-25. The low LNA is fabricated by both the RP circuit and the self-bias circuits in an aluminum housing. As a result, the characteristics of the LNA implemented show more than 32 dB in gain, lower than 0.5 dB in noise figure, 18.6 dBm output gain in 1 dB gain compression point.

  • Considering the water quality regulation of total emission system which is enforced with hydro TMS and so on operating currently, automatic water sampler must be necessary in the viewpoint of national interest for conservation of water resources. This study aimed to develope automatic water sampler for the purpose of decreasing spends on foreign currency which is relied on import from abroad and upgrading the functional efficiency simultaneously. We have made an effort for developing results as follows with some cases. First, flow meter with a sensor equiped into automatic water sampler for field measurement which can perform linkage operation was developed. Second, remote-D/L system was developed which was able to monitor and store some transmitted data from practical measurement sensor. Also, automatic water sampler was developed in this research that operates in a sewage treatment plant, and finally, we confirmed that our system is able to apply to the field well.
