  • Contrast operating system installed on traditional PC, operating system installed to mobile IP host is a status not to be established a definite monopoly system. Accordingly, for the time being, it is expected that operating system operated in mobile IP host will be used various operating systems. Regardless of operating system, this condition is a very vulnerable to modified virus. Because operating system used in an individual host is very diverse, It makes technical development to cure complicated in detection efficiently these virus. In this thesis, By using VMware under the various operating system, I designed and implemented system which is able to test a modified virus. Also I implemented prototype system to operate under the real mobile condition.

OSEK/VDX Porting to the Two-Wheel Mobile Robot Based on the Differential Drive Method

  • In this paper, we propose an implementation of a real-time operating system for the two-wheel mobile robot. With this implementation, we have the ability to control the complex embedded systems of the two-wheel mobile robot. The advantage of the real-time operating system is increasing the reliability and stability of the two-wheel mobile robot when they work in critical environments such as military and industrial applications. The real-time operating system which was ported to this implementation is open systems and the corresponding interfaces for automotive electronics (OSEK/VDX). It is known as the set of specifications on automotive operating systems, published by a consortium founded by the automotive industry. The mechanical design and kinematics of the two-wheel mobile robot are described in this paper. The contributions of this paper suggest a method for adapting and porting OSEK/VDX real-time operating system to the two-wheel mobile robot with the differential drive method, and we are also able to apply the real-time operating system to any complex embedded system easily.

  • The initial role of the operating system acts as an intermediary between the computer and the user, and, hardware and process management, and the convenience of your computer system is to use. Of these operating systems as well as servers and personal computers, smartphones and tablet mounted on mobile devices such as mobile operating system was born. Mobile Operating System has been expanded a TV or Car Area that built into a simple embedded operating system, is emergence of a variety of devices, cloud services, combined with the desire of users due to the high built-in simple embedded operating system that was working on a TV or a car is expanding to the area.   • As digital ecosystem has been rapidly transforming into the mobile based platform, several mobile operating system, which is in charge of user interface with mobile device has been appeared. This research suggest critical factors affecting success and failure of several commercial mobile operating systems from Palm OS appearing in 1996 to main mobile OSs appearing in 2013. For this, we analyse several mobile operating OS cases, elicit factors affecting success and failure of mobile OS, and conduct ID3 based inductive learning analyses based on elicted factors and values in case dataset. Through this, we draw rules in success and failure of mobile OS and suggest strategic implications for the commercial success of mobile OS.

  • This paper deals with the research for the effects of the operating parameters that could be used for a transcritical $CO_2$ mobile air-conditioning system on the cooling performance. The experimental conditions of the performance tests for a system and components such as a gas cooler and an evaporator were suggested to compare the performance of each with the standardized test conditions. And this research presents experimental results for the performance characteristics of a $CO_2$ mobile air conditioning system with various operating conditions such as different gas cooler inlet pressures and frontal air velocities/temperatures passing through an evaporator and a gas cooler. Experimental results show that the cooling capacity was more than 5kW and coefficient of performance (COP) was more than 2.1, also. Therefore, we checked that the mobile air-conditioning system using $CO_2$ has good performance compared to that using HFC-134a.

  • The SoC and digital technology development recently enabled the emergence of information devices and control devices because the SoC presents many advantages such like lower power consumption, greater reliability, and lower cost. However, it is nearly impossible to use the SoC without operating systems because the SoC is included with many peripherals and complex architecture. It is required to use embedded operating systems and real-time operating systems may be used as an embedded operating system. So far, real-time operating systems are widely used to implement a Real-Time system since it meets developer's requirements. However, real-time operating systems have disadvantages including a lack of standards, expensive development, and license. Embedded Linux is able to overcome their disadvantages. In this paper, the implementation of control system platform for a mobile robot using real-time Embedded Linux is described. As a control hardware system platform, XScale board is used. As the real-time Embedded Linux, RTAI is adopted which is open source and royalty free, and supports various architectures and real-time devices, such like real-time CAN and real-time COM. This paper shows the implementation of RTAI on XScale board that means the porting procedure. We also applied the control system platform to the mobile robot and compared the Real-Time serial driver with non real-time serial driver. Experimental results show that that using RTAI is useful to build real-time control system with powerful functionalities of Linux.

  • A service robot is expected to be useful in indoor environment such as a hotel, a hospital and so on. However, many service robots are driven by wheels so that they cannot climb stairs to move to other floors. If the robot cannot use elevators. In this paper, the mobile manipulator system was developed, which can operate numeral buttons on the operating panel in the elevator. To perform this task, the robot is composed of an image recognition module, an ultrasonic sensor module and a manipulator. The robot can recognize numeral buttons and an end-effector in manipulator by the vision system. The Learning vector quantization (LVQ) algorithm is used to recognize the number on the button. The barcode mark on the end-effector is used to recognize the end-effector. The manipulator can push numeral buttons using informations captured by the vision system. The proposed method is evaluated by experiments.

  • Recently, Android-based mobile devices has increased. Thus increasing market share of the Android operating system. However, in the case of the Android operating system, it has the relatively large number of security vulnerabilities Unlike other closed operating systems. Most Android application requires the identity of the mobile device or over-authorization approval. This information can be a security threat. In addition, in the event of a security problem because obtaining the user's consent during the installation of the application is the user responsible. If these problems persist, loss of reliability of the user operating system, as well as to feel a resistance when using an Android application. In this paper, we investigate a security vulnerability in the Android operating system, and proposed countermeasures.

Business Collaborative System Based on Social Network Using MOXMDR-DAI+

  • Companies have made an investment of cost and time to optimize processing of a new business model in a cloud environment, applying collaboration technology utilizing business processes in a social network. The collaborative processing method changed from traditional BPM to the cloud and a mobile cloud environment. We proposed a collaborative system for operating processes in social networks using MOXMDR-DAI+ (eXtended Metadata Registry-Data Access & Integration based multimedia ontology). The system operating cloud-based collaborative processes in application of MOXMDR-DAI+, which was suitable for data interoperation. MOXMDR-DAI+ applied to this system was an agent effectively supporting access and integration between multimedia content metadata schema and instance, which were necessary for data interoperation, of individual local system in the cloud environment, operating collaborative processes in the social network. In operating the social network-based collaborative processes, there occurred heterogeneousness such as schema structure and semantic collision due to queries in the processes and unit conversion between instances. It aimed to solve the occurrence of heterogeneousness in the process of metadata mapping using MOXMDR-DAI+ in the system. The system proposed in this study can visualize business processes. And it makes it easier to operate the collaboration process through mobile support. Real-time status monitoring of the operation process is possible through the dashboard, and it is possible to perform a collaborative process through expert search using a community in a social network environment.

  • Recently with the rapid development in mobile communication, the mobile phone are utilized in many fields of railway system within country and abroad and its use tends to increase continuously. In the railway system, the applicable realm is spreaded to the fields of railway signal communication, railway operating, track maintenance, reservation and information service, also its role is expected to increase. In this thesis, we are surveying the usage application of home and abroad mobile phone in railway system. Studying the present condition of mobile communication in railway system, we are viewing the application plan and the direction of development.
