In these days mobile handsets have come to be used at almost every user. The performance improvement of mobile devices and networks have made this trend possible. As a great variety of mobile applications are published, the necessity of running large-scale mobile applications becomes greater than before. To accomplish this, the existing researchers have developed mobile cluster computing libraries like Mobile-JPVM. In this paper, we implement a compute-intensive Animated GIF generating application and its cell phone viewer software using Mobile-JPVM library. We find out by the real execution of our softwares on the KTF handsets that they can sufficiently run on cellular phones. Our Animated GIF generator and its viewer are going to be commercially used for the mobile fashion advertisement systems.

This study is a basic research for establishing a mid- to long-term development plan for the library of the Korea Expressway Corporation that can establish the vision and core values of the library and continuously grow by taking advantage of the specialization of the road transportation field in preparation for the 4th industrial revolution and post-corona era. The current state, satisfaction, and demand of the library were conducted for users of the Korea Expressway Corporation, and based on this, a mid- to long-term development plan was proposed. As a result of the research, first, the library of the Korea Expressway Corporation should provide information services to respond to the immediate information needs of its members as a library that supports academic and research activities as well as the comprehensive collection and preservation of related materials as a national road transportation representative library. Second, it is necessary to establish a systematic collection development policy, and it is necessary to collect collections by detailed themes related to road traffic. Third, overall service development is necessary, and Korea Expressway Corporation library homepage and mobile service should be developed. Lastly, space improvement must be made through space reorganization, and it is necessary to expand the usability through the introduction of the latest technology.

Lane marking detection is one of important issues in the field of autonomous mobile robot. Especially, in urban environment, like pavement roads of downtown or tour tracks of Science Park, which have continuous patterns on the surface of the road, the lane marking detection becomes more important ability. Although there were many researches about lane detection and lane tracing, many of them used vision sensors mainly to detect lane marking. In this paper, we obtain 2 dimensional library data of 'Intensity' and 'Distance' using one laser rangefinder only. We design a simple classifier and filtering algorithm for the lane detection which uses only one LRF (Laser Range Finder). Allowing extended usage of LRF, this research provides more functionality not only in range finding but also in lane detecting to mobile robots. This work will be technically helpful for robot developers to design more simple and efficient autonomous driving system using LRF.

This paper presents a compression scheme for mesh geometry, which is suitable for mobile graphics. The main focus is to enable real-time decoding of compressed vertex positions while providing reasonable compression ratios. Our scheme is based on local quantization of vertex positions with mesh partitioning. To prevent visual seams along the partitioning boundaries, we constrain the locally quantized cells of all mesh partitions to have the same size and aligned local axes. We propose a mesh partitioning algorithm to minimize the size of locally quantized cells, which relates to the distortion of a restored mesh. Vertex coordinates are stored in main memory and transmitted to graphics hardware for rendering in the quantized form, saving memory space and system bus bandwidth. Decoding operation is combined with model geometry transformation, and the only overhead to restore vertex positions is one matrix multiplication for each mesh partition. In our experiments, a 32-bit floating point vertex coordinate is quantized into an 8-bit integer, which is the smallest data size supported in a mobile graphics library. With this setting, the distortions of the restored meshes are comparable to 11-bit global quantization of vertex coordinates. We also apply the proposed approach to compression of vertex attributes, such as vertex normals and texture coordinates, and show that gains similar to vertex geometry can be obtained through local quantization with mesh partitioning.

In this paper, we design and implementate ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system that can be runs on many different platforms using HTML5 as a standard web development language and jQuery as a javascript library. Ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system is runs on on many different platforms like mobile platforms and desktop web browsers.

Many game and financial apps have emulator detection functionality to defend against dynamic reverse engineering attacks. However, existing Android emulator detection methods have limitations in detecting the latest mobile game emulators that are similar to actual devices. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to effectively detect Android emulators for mobile games based on Houdini module and strings of a library. The proposed method detects the two emulators, Nox and LD Player through specific strings included in libc.so of bionic, and an analysis of the system call execution process and memory mapping associated with the Houdini module.

A Library is the fundamental character of culture in a country and it is also a barometer of culture in its community. Every cultural reality, however, can hardly come to fruition in a short time and so, it will be effected through a long time and tradition. This study aims at catching up how the above-mentioned public libraries have an influence on culture of its community people. For this purpose, the actual conditions of the public libraries have been investigated and analyzed and as a result of it, the problems have been reilluminated from the nation-wide point of view. And in the new changes, developing improvement measures have been tried to find. How to study was on the basis of the actual materials of the on the-spot survey, the interviews with the working officials and the response by way of questionnaire. Summing up the investigated and analyzed contents are as followings. In the above mentioned province, therefore, number of the public libraries are very limited compared with number of the people. And so, it is very essential to increase the public libraries in the province. In terms of the actual conditions, the public libraries lags far behind the other provinces in Korea from this library field. The present chronic conditions are the budgetary deficit, the collections insufficient to the legal minimal standards, the lack of professional librarians ignorance of the people and library managements by unprofessionals, etc.. This hinders the progress of the public libraries and to seculate them from the people. The improvements and the solutions to the above-mentioned problems are as follows. 1. To recruit the personnel sufficient to the legal standards and to reorganize the offices and to turn upward the highest class of librarian's position above the 4th class. 2. To secure collections sufficient to the legal standards and to strang then the extension services. 3. To organize the council composed of the chief librarians of the public libraries including the working chiefs in the province and to develop the works-in-hand of the libraries from the level of decision-making. 4. To organize the librarian training group and to study the working problems and to seek the qualified improvement of librarians. 5. The management of the public libraries in the province are, at present, der the Ministry of Education and the local government takes the financial power. So both should be shortly unified. 6. To do regularly the course of how to use library materials for the community people and to seek the inducement measures for the people through the various cultural events. 7. The public libraries organize the mutual cooperation networks and to seek the system automatized plans of free use of library materials and every library works. 8. To enlarge book mobile system actively and to infiltrate into the daily living of people deeply. Finally, what the present writer would like to speak to the chief librarians of the public libraries the human aspects of librarians should not be ignored no mater how excellent a library organization may be. In addition to this, the present writter is sure that the far-reached future of our library organization will depend on the librarians.

Although it is about a decade since public libraries started to provide digital information services, lack of expertise for efficient service operation and restrictions related to copyrights have led to failure to obtain remarkable performances in uses. This study intends to analyze operation cases of domestic and overseas collaborative digital information services, as well as the current status of digital information services of libraries in Gyeonggido, thereby developing a collaborative digital information service model among public libraries on the level of local governments. This research then analyzed collaborative digital information service Web sites and surveys. Based on the analysis result, this study presented support of integrated search of possessed electronic information, Web database (DB), DB on original texts of regional records, online reference services, and mobile platforms as functional factors to embody a successful service model. As a system management road map, an eclectic model combining the merits of centralized and decentralized models was found to be more effective than a centralized or decentralized model in consideration of the characteristics of participating organizations.

This study tried to analyze 11 standards and guidelines related to bookmobile service to provide the theoretical basis for establishing bookmobile standards or guidelines in Korea. In these standards and guidelines, there were 9 core elements about bookmobile service including administration, vehicle, staffing, collections, schedule & stops, services & programs, marketing & public relations, information & communication technology and safety, and each element had several related sub-elements. In conclusion, some suggestions were proposed to assist the establishment process of bookmobile standards or guidelines in Korea.

Emerging ubiquitous computing and mobile communication urges changes in academic libraries' information services. This study is to explore the future scholarly information services in academic libraries, by adopting a future research method, scenarios. It identifies the key forces in the scholarly information flows, scans the range of alternatives, and describe the possible behaviors of the three groups of main actors: publishers, academic libraries, and users.
