Mobile IP Router in Ad Hoc Network (Ad Hoc 네트워크에서 이동 IP Router)

  • This paper addresses mobile IP router which communicate between nodes in Ad Hoc network as well as supply attachment to outer Internet. Ad Hoc network is one which exchanges information through cooperations among nodes without wire infrastructure, mobile IP router considers the network as one mobile unit, and supports Internet connection in mobile as well as fixed spaces. Therefore, this router can accommodate the routing of Ad Hoc network, and provide nodes in Ad Hoc network with Internet connection. So mobile IP router can provide Ad-Hoc terminals with the diverse wireless services, such as Internet connection service, routing, mobility, and so on.

  • Optimizing the number of ad clicks is a large-scale learning problem that is central to the multi-billion dollar mobile advertising industry. There are currently several optimization methods used, including ad mediation and ad positioning. This paper proposes a new method to optimize mobile advertising by using the ad refresh interval. A new metric, which can measure and compare mobile advertising performance, takes into account time limitations. The results achieved from this optimization study could maximize revenue for mobile advertisers and publishers. This research has high applicability. It also lays out a solid background for future research in this promising area.

  • A clustering scheme for ad hoc networks is aimed at managing a number of mobile devices by utilizing hierarchical structure of the networks. In order to construct and maintain an effective hierarchical structure in ad hoc networks where mobile devices may move at high mobility, the following requirements must be satisfied. The role of each mobile device for the hierarchical structure is adaptive to dynamic change of the topology of the ad hoc networks. The role of each mobile device should thus change autonomously based on the local information. The overhead for management of the hierarchical structure is small. The number of mobile devices in each cluster should thus be almost equivalent. This paper proposes an adaptive multihop clustering scheme for highly mobile ad hoc networks. The results obtained by extensive simulation experiments show that the proposed scheme does not depend on mobility and node degree of mobile devices in the ad hoc network, which satisfy the above requirements.

  • The ad hoc network was composed of Mobile hosts. Due to the limited transmission range of each mobile node hosts, in such an environment, it is essential for other hosts to coorperate to transfer packet to destination. Moreover, the existing routing protocol algorithms are not efficient on the ad hoc network because a mobile host operates router without fixed router. In this paper, we will compare and analysis for the performance of existing ad hoc network routing protocols through simulation.

  • 본 문서는 Ad-hoc 네트워크가 인터넷과 연동되는 환경에서 Mobile IP 기능을 지원하기 위한 기술에 대한 연구 동향을 분석한다. Mobile IP는 이동 노드와 Foreign Agent(FA) 간에 링크 레벨의 연결이 존재하는 네트워크 환경에서 동작하지만, Ad-hoc 네트워크의 경우 노드간에 멀티 홉 라우팅에 의한 통신 방법을 기본적으로 사용하고 있고, 노드의 자유로운 이동으로 인하여 이동 노드에서 FA로의 루트가 수시로 변경되는 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 Ad-hoc 네트워크에서 Mobile IP를 지원하는 데에는 여러 가지 문제점이 따른다.

  • Recently, such as smart phones and tablet users of mobile devices increases rapidly as the related applications(app) and this is increasing the mobile ads. The mobile users may be accessed the variety of the mobile ad by free app and the advertisers and the app developers easily publish the mobile ads by the mobile ad platform. In this paper describe the technical features of domestic mobile ad platforms and the functionality of mobile ads, and for them to compare and analyze.

  • The rapid evolution of mobile technologies and proliferation of mobile devices have created a new channel for marketing by mobile advertising. As mobile advertising is a close relative to online advertising, it also has similar problems such as advertisement injections (Ad injections). Users are exposed to unwanted advertisements and redundant web traffic by injected ads can cause additional charges of mobile devices. Although mobile ad injection can cause many problems it has been merely studied. In this paper, we analyze ad injection activities by mobile applications that exploit a legitimate application (Naver mobile application). We reverse-engineered 2 mobile applications and find out characteristics of mobile ad injections. We compare mobile ad injections with online ad injections and suggest feasible mitigations.

Study on Dynamic Source Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (이동 Ad Hoc 망에 대한 동적 소스 라우팅 프로토콜에 관한 연구)

  • There can exist unidirectional links due to asymmetric property of mobile terminals or current wireless environments on practical mobile ad hoc networks. However, at present, the existing mobile ad hoc routing protocols are implemented to support only bidirectional links. Thus, in this paper, we extend the existing dynamic source routing protocol in order to implement a new routing protocol, which is fit to mobile ad hoc networks containing unidirectional links. For performance evaluation, we use combinations of mobility scenario files and connection pattern files from Carnegimelon Univ. We consider received data rate and average route discovery time as evaluation items, which are compared and evaluated for three suggested route discovery methods.

A Study of Ad Avoidance Level, Ad Avoidance Type and Its Predictors in Various Mobile Ad Formats (모바일 광고포맷에 따른 광고회피 수준, 회피 유형, 요인에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we wanted to identify the level of ad avoidance, type of ad avoidance and predictors that affect ad avoidance according to mobile ad formats. A survey was conducted on users who had experienced mobile ads and a total of 276 responses were used for the analysis. Studies showed that push ad had the highest level of avoidance. In addition, when looking at the type of ad avoidance, the highest ad avoidance type was immediate ad avoidance in all established ad formats and the lowest ad avoidance type was prior ad avoidance. The results of predicting ad avoidance showed that among 11 independent variables, perceived intrusive variable had a positive (+) effect in all ad formats except push ad and attitude toward mobile ad variable had a negative (-) effect in the push ad. This study is meaningful in that it was a comprehensive comparative analysis by subdividing the advertising formats implemented in mobile. This study is also meaningful in that studying how ad avoidance levels and avoidance types differed accordingly and what were the variables that affect ad avoidance. It also had the practical significance that could help establish an efficient ad execution strategy that reflected the characteristics of mobile devices.
