Fe-30at.%A1 합금의 압연성에 미치는 Cr, B, Ti 및 Si 첨가효과 (Effects of Cr, B, Ti and Si on Rolling Characteristics in Fe-30at.%A1 Alloy)

  • Some alloying elements such as Cr, B, Ti and Si were added individually or as a mixture to Fe-30 at.%Al alloys. The alloys were melted using an arc furnace and then heat-treated for homogenization at 1000$^{\circ}C$ for 7 days and followed by rolling at 1000$^{\circ}C$. The alloying elements on rolling characteristics were investigated by the microstructures and fracture mode before and after rolling. The microstructures before rolling showed that all of the alloys had equiaxed grains. On the other hand, the microstructures of rolling plane as well as its perpendicular plane became elongated after rolling. The alloys such as Fe-30Al, Fe-30Al-3Ti, Fe-30Al-0.5B, Fe-30Al-5Cr and Fe-30Al-3Ti-0.5B revealed better rolling behaviour from the point that intergranular and cleavage fractures were not fundamentally occurred. But the addition of 5Ti or 3Si to Fe-Al alloys had detrimental effects. The Ti-added alloy system such as Fe-30Al-5Ti, Fe-30Al-5Ti-5Cr, Fe-30Al-3Ti-5Cr and Fe-30Al-5Ti-0.5B were cracked through grain and showed cleavage fracture. The Si-added alloy system such as Fe-30Al-5Si, Fe-27Al-3Si and Fe-27Al-5Cr-3Si were cracked along the grain boundary and showed intergranular fracture. $DO_3{\leftrightarrow}B_2$ transition temperature of Fe-30at.%Al alloy was 520$^{\circ}C$, whereas the addition of 3Ti and 3Ti+0.5B comparably increased the temperature to 797 and 773$^{\circ}C$, respectively.

액상우분뇨 시용과 콩과작물의 혼파가 청보리와 호밀의 생산성, 사료가치 및 단위면적당 유기가축 사육능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Applying Cattle Slurry and Mixed Sowing with Legumes on Productivity, Feed Values and Organic Stock Carrying Capacity of Whole Crop Barley and Rye)

  • 본 실험에서는 월동작물로 재배되는 청보리와 호밀에 화학비료, 유기질비료 및 가축분뇨의 시용 그리고 콩과작물의 혼파재배가 작물의 생산성과 사료가치를 평가함으로써 토양의 지력향상과 함께 양질의 유기조사료를 확보하여 단위면적당 유기가축 사육능력을 추정하고자 무비구, 화학비료 인산칼리 시비구, 화학비료 질소인산칼리 시비구, 유기질비료 시용 액상우분뇨 시용구, 액상우분뇨 시용에 헤어리베치 혼파구 및 액상우분뇨 시용에 사료용완두 혼파구 등 7처리 3반복 난괴법으로 배치하여 실험이 실시되었다. 청보리의 연간 건물, 조단백질 및 가소화양분총량 수량은 화학비료 질소인산칼리 시비구가 액상우분뇨를 시용한 구를 제외하고 다른 처리구보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 청보리의 조단백질함량은 화학비료 질소인산칼리 시비구(9.8%)와 액상우분뇨 시용과 콩과작물 혼파구(8.6~9.7%)가 처리구보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 보리를 급여시 유기 한우 암소는 액상우분뇨 시용에 콩과작물 혼파구가 연간 ha당 평균 l.7~1.8두를 사육할 수 있다 호밀의 연간 건물, 조단백질 및 가소화양분총량 수량은 액상우분뇨에 콩과작물을 혼파한 구가 ha당 각각 6.9~7.1, 0.5~0.6 및 4.3~4.4톤으로 나타났다. 호밀의 조단백질함량은 화학비료 시비구가 10.8%로 모든 처리구보다 높았다(p<0.05). 호밀을 급여한 유기한우 암소의 연간 ha당 사육두수는 액상우분뇨 시용에 콩과작물 혼파구가 평균 1.9두를 사육할 수 있다. 단위당 생산수량 및 유기가축 사육능력측면에서 청보리 및 호밀에 대한 가축분뇨의 시용은 화학비료에 준하는 생산성적을 나타내었다. 가축분뇨 시용구내에서 청보리는 헤어리베치와 혼파 시에, 호밀은 사료용완두와 혼파 시에 더 많은 생산수량을 나타내었다. 또한, 가축분뇨 시용구내 콩과작물과의 혼파는 조단백질수량과 가소화양분총량을 증가시켰다. 결론적으로 가축분뇨 시용과 콩과작물과의 혼파는 유기가축사양 시 단백질공급원으로 이용 되는 수입유기곡류를 대체하는 효과를 가질 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

벼흰빛잎마름병 저항성 근동질유전자계통 혼합재배에서 이병정도 (Disease Severity of Bacterial Blight in Mixed Plantings of Rice Near-Isogenic Lines)

  • 벼흰잎마름병 방제를 위해 multiline품종을 이용할 경우 가장 이상적인 이병성과 저항성 혼합조합을 찾고자 저항성유전자가 서로 다른 근동질유전자 계통을 이용한 7개 혼합집단의 흰 잎마름병 발병정도, 등숙비율 및 쌀수량에 대하여 그들 혼합집단을 구성하고 있는 요소의 평균과 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 7개 혼합집단 즉 ML01, ML02, ML03, MLl2, MLl3, ML23 및 ML0123중에서 ML01과 ML02는 그들 구성 요소의 평균과 발병정도, 등숙비율 및 쌀수량에 있어서 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그러나, 그나머지 혼합집단들은 그들 구성요소의 평균보다 발병정도는 낮았고 등숙비율과 쌀수량은 높았다. 2 Xa3를 가진 HRl1397계통이 혼합된 집단 즉 ML03, MLl3, ML23 및 ML0123이 발병정도도 낮고 쌀수량도 높아 HR11397이 우수한 계통으로 보여진다. 3. 병전파 지연, 병원균집단의 안정화 및 품종의 단인자 저항성 수명 연장을 위한 바람직한 혼합집단 모형은 ML03, MLl3, ML23 및 ML0123이 우수한 것으로 보여진다

밥의 종류에 따른 토코페롤 및 토코트리에놀 함량 분석 -연구노트- (Determination of Tocopherol and Tocotrienol Contents in Rice Cooked with Various Cereals)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국인의 주식인 쌀밥과 각종 잡곡밥에 함유된 토코페롤의 8가지 이성질체의 함량을 HPLC를 이용하여 분석하였다. 쌀밥에서는 8가지 이성체중 3개의 이성체가 검출되었고, 보리밥에서는 2개, 팥밥에서는 5개, 콩밥은 7개 그리고 여러가지 곡류의 혼합인 잡곡밥에서는 6개의 이성체가 검출되었다. 본 연구결과 쌀밥에는 alpha-토코페롤 외에도 alpha-, gamma-토코트리에놀이 검출되었고 그 값을 합한 토코트리에놀 함량은 alpha-토코페롤보다 더 높은 것으로 나타나 쌀밥의 비타민 E 영양가치는 일반적으로 알려진 것보다 더 높을 것으로 추정된다. 분석된 토코페롤 이성체의 총합인 비타민 E의 함량은 콩밥>잡곡밥>팥밥>쌀밥>보리밥의 순서로 나타나 콩밥과 잡곡밥의 영양적 우수성을 증명하였다. 따라서 매일 섭취하는 주식인 밥을 쌀밥에서 콩밥이나 잡곡밥으로 대치할 경우, 각종 성인병의 예방효과가 뛰어난 것으로 알려진 토코페롤과 토코트리에놀의 이성체를 골고루 꾸준히 섭취할 수 있으므로 쌀밥에 콩 등의 잡곡을 혼합하는 것이 건강증진을 위해 매우 중요한 사안으로 사료된다.

모래-자갈 혼합토의 강도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Strength Characteristics of Sand-gravel Mixtures)

  • 작은 입자 사이에 소량의 굵은 입자가 고립된 상태로 존재하는 모래-자갈 혼합토의 강도는 흙에서 대부분을 차지하는 작은 입자 즉 모래나 점토의 역학적 특성에 따라 좌우되지만 소량의 굵은 입자인 자갈에 의해 영향을 받는 경우도 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이와 같이 모래 지반 내에 흩어져 있는 소량의 굵은 자갈이 흙의 강도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 시멘트로 고결된 모래에 일정한 비율로 굵은 자갈을 각층 높이의 중간부분에 넣고 다음 층을 쌓아 다지는 방식으로 자갈이 포함된 공시체를 완성하였다. 굵은 자갈의 크기와 개수를 달리하면서 다양한 공시체를 제작하여 2일 동안 양생시킨 다음 일축압축강도를 평가하였다. 한편 내부마찰각을 평가하기 위하여 깨끗한 모래에 포함된 자갈의 개수를 달리하면서 직접전단시험을 실시하였다. 공시체 내에 포함된 자갈의 개수나 크기는 다르지만 중량비가 7%로 동일한 경우, 자갈의 개수가 증가함에 따라 고결모래의 일축압축강도는 약 15% 정도 감소하다가 다시 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 동일한 크기의 자갈이 여러 개 포함된 경우에도 자갈의 개수가 증가할수록 일축압축강도는 감소하다가 다시 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 자갈이 포함된 모래의 내부마찰각은 자갈의 개수가 증가함에 따라 5도 정도 감소하다가 다시 회복되는 경향을 보였다.

Incorporation of CrusHed Sands and Tunisian Desert Sands in the Composition of Self Compacting Concretes Part I: Study of Formulation

  • This paper examines the incorporation of the crushed sand (CS) and desert sand (DS) in the formation of self compacting concrete (SCC). These sands have been substituted for the rolled sand (RS), which is currently the only sand used in concretes and which is likely to run out in our country. DS, which comes from the Tunisian Sahara in the south, is characterized by a tight distribution of grains size. CS, a by-product of careers containing a significant amount of fines up to 15%, is characterized by a spread out granulometry having a maximum diameter of around 5mm. These two sands are considered as aggregates for the SCC. This first part of the study consists in analyzing the influence of the type of sand on the parameters of composition of the SCC. These sands consist of several combinations of 3 sands (DS, CS and RS). The method of formulation of the adopted SCC is based on the filling of the granular void by the paste. The CS substitution to the RS made it possible, for all the proportions, to decrease the granular voids, to increase the compactness of the mixture and to decrease the water and adding fillers proportioning. These results were also obtained for a moderate substitution of DS/CS (< 40%) and a weak ratio of DS/RS (20%). For higher proportions, the addition of DS to CS or RS did not improve the physical characteristics of the SCC granular mixture.

Glycine max Merr enhances the viability and adhesion ability of Lactobacillus buchneri in gastrointestinal condition in vitro.

  • Probiotics are microorganisms that have beneficial effects on the health of the host. The health promoting effect by probiotics influences suppressing harmful bacteria, prevention of constipation, blood cholesterol reduction and regulation of blood pressure. Prebiotics are used to promote the growth or activity of microorganisms. Synbiotics, which are a mixture of probiotics and prebiotics, synergize in the intestines by complementing each other. Synbiotics not only improves the viability of the probiotics while passing through the gastrointestinal tract, maintain intestinal homeostasis, but also regulate balance of harmful and useful bacterial growth. Glycine max Merr (GMM) has been widely used in Asian countries to treat cancer, obesity, oxidative stress and imbalanced immune diseases. In addition, it has been reported that dietary fiber-rich grains promote bowel movements and prevent constipation. In this study, we investigated the viability of LactobacillIus buchneri (L.buchneri) strains, known as lactic acid bacteria under conditions of gastric fluid and intestinal fluid to determine the suitability of L.buchneri as probiotics. The adhesion ability of L.buchneri to caco-2 cells was also confirmed. The present studies showed that GMM extract promoted the growth and activity of L.buchneri strains as prebiotics. Also, this results suggested that the mixture of L.buchneri and GMM extract can helps maintain intestinal health and healthy body as synbiotics and health functional food material.

해조류 첨가 가정간편식(HMR) 즉석밥의 소화율 및 항산화 활성 (Digestibility and Antioxidant Activity of Instant Cooked Rice with Seaweed for Home Meal Replacement)

  • In recent years, the home meal replacement (HMR) market has expanded and the consumption of ready-to-heat (RTH) rice has significantly increased. In this study, RTH rice products containing seaweed were prepared with different types of grain: white rice, a mixture of white rice and barley, barley, and mixed grains. The control was a commercial RTH white rice without seaweed. The proximate components, total dietary fiber, in vitro starch digestibility, and antioxidant activity were compared. The ash content of the RTH seaweed rice was higher than that of the control (P<0.05). The total dietary fiber of the RTH seaweed rice was in the range of 1.03-6.57%, which directly impacted the in vitro starch digestibility. The in vitro antioxidant activity including total phenolic content, reducing power, DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl) and ABTS+ (2,2'-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) radical scavenging activity of the seaweed rice with barley and the white rice/barley mixture was greater than that of the other rice products (P<0.05). These results indicate that the in vitro digestibility and antioxidant activity of the HMR RTH seaweed rice were greater than those of the control. In addition, when the RTH seaweed rice was prepared with barley, the functional activity improved.

분말 제조 방법에 따른 Ni-Y2O3 소결 합금의 미세 구조 및 기계적 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Ni-Y2O3 Sintered Alloys Based on the Powder Preparation Methods)

  • In this study, Ni-Y2O3 powder was prepared by alloying recomposition oxidation sintering (AROS), solution combustion synthesis (SCS), and conventional mechanical alloying (MA). The microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloys were investigated by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Among the Ni-Y2O3 powders synthesized by the three methods, the AROS powder had approximately 5 nm of Y2O3 crystals uniformly distributed within the Ni particles, whereas the SCS powder contained a mixture of Ni and Y2O3 nanoparticles, and the MA powder formed small Y2O3 crystals on the surface of large Ni particles by milling the mixture of Ni and Y2O3. The average grain size of Y2O3 in the sintered alloys was approximately 15 nm, with the AROS sinter having the smallest, followed by the SCS sinter at 18 nm, and the MA sinter at 22 nm. The yield strength (YS) of the SCS- and MA-sintered alloys were 1511 and 1688 MPa, respectively, which are lower than the YS value of 1697 MPa for the AROS-sintered alloys. The AROS alloy exhibited improved strength compared to the alloys fabricated by SCS and conventional MA methods, primarily because of the increased strengthening from the finer Y2O3 particles and Ni grains.

Study on minerals status of dairy cows and their supplementation through area specific mineral mixture in the state of Jharkhand

  • Background: Deficiency of macro and micro-minerals in the ration of dairy cows adversely affects growth, milk production and reproduction efficiency. It is essential to examine mineral concentrations in feeds offered to dairy cows in practical farms. Methods: Two villages from each taluka were selected at random for taking representative samples of feeds, forages and hair. Within the village, help was sought from village milk producers and district animal husbandry officer for identification of 4 to 5 farmers and collection of representative samples. All the samples were processed and analyzed for chemical composition as well as major macro and micro-minerals, using Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer. Results: Ca content in wheat straw (0.29%), crushed maize (0.02%) and wheat bran (0.12%) was found to be below the critical level (0.30%). The P content in concentrate ingredients was high (0.26-0.96%), but low in dry roughages (0.06-0.12%). Cereal straws (0.14%) and grains (0.12%) were deficient in Mg. Feeds and forages were found to be adequate in K (1.50%). Cereals straws were found to be deficient in S (0.11%). Greens were good source of Cu (12.02 ppm). Wheat straw was found to be low in Zn (18 ppm), but high in Mn (225 ppm) and Fe (509 ppm). Local grasses and azolla green were found to be rich source of Co (>1.00 ppm). Se (0.63 ppm) was present in appreciable quantities in most of the feedstuffs. Conclusions: From the present study, it was apparent that the feeds and forages available in the state of Jharkhand may not meet the requirements for Ca, P, Mg, Cu, Zn and Co in order to sustain a milk production of ~10 kg/day. Therefore, it is necessary to supplement these deficient minerals through area specific mineral mixture in the ration of dairy cows for improving productivity and reproduction efficiency.
