중등학교 복합화시설 계획방향 연구 (A Direction of Planning Mixed-use Facilities of Secondary School)

  • The opportunity, provided for a direction planning mixed-use facilities for secondary schoo, is the purpose of this paper. Mixed-use facilities are an important issue in school building as it seeks to revive the facilities for local residents in school zone. The latest works of mixed-use facilities in secondary school, however, which are evaluated as well reflected the patterns of education and local community, are still deficient in that communicational elements in secondary school are inadequate. The cases of this paper, which are grown up as an educational building with mixed-use facilities opened to the local residents, are suitable to offer the design method for the future secondary school with mixed-use facilities. This paper reviews an assessment of its success in mixed-use facilities for secondary school as a public building for both of local residents and students and concludes with the establishment of design method for the future school; extraction of the factors contributing to development of mixed-use facilities in school area and proposal of design method; implementation of renewal of mixed-use facilities including educational program and spaces for the creation of identity.

  • In order to cope with the demands of the rapidly changing society, advanced countries enrolled in OECD have been establishing corresponding directions as integrating their fields in economy, society, and education as one system. To be a part of the international changes, Korea has presented "Mixed-Use of schools and community facilities." "Mixed-Use of schools and community facilities" enables schools to expand necessary facilities, which were not secured due to insufficient budget, through community funding. Communities could not secure enough convenient facilities because they did not have enough sites for the facilities; however, school sites have made the communities possible to have facilities. As a result, the demand for "Mixed-Use of schools and community facilities" has increased. Therefore, this study redefines the concept of the Mixed-Use of School Facilities in the perspective of the main users, researches the current state of the Mixed-Use of School Facilities through case studies in Korea, and intends to research preferences of the synthesis through surveys. In addition, the study proposes the proper size and the standard of the facilities that are possible to synthesize them with schools. In the future, in running this Mixed-Use of School Facilities business, the data from this study can be utilized.

  • The most important issue of modern cities is a crime. Crime prevention through environmental planning is needed in the urban mixed-use commercial facilities which have an important role of modern urban life, and have a positive elements for local society. The purpose of this study is to propose a direction of crime prevention through environmental planning for the urban mixed-use commercial facilities. In order to accomplish this purpose, a questionnaire survey is performed on users of urban mixed-use commercial facilities to evaluate the importance and satisfaction. The conclusions are as follows; 1) Crime prevention through environmental planning is needed in the public space which forms boundary between urban mixed-use commercial facilities and other urban facilities. 2) Safety support planning is necessary for women and children for crime prevention of urban mixed-use commercial facilities. 3) Crime prevention planning is needed in urban mixed-use commercial facilities of the various isolation space. 4) Crime prevention through environmental planning is needed for facilities of after business hours. 5) Various security alarm system considering the characteristics of the space is needed for crime prevention. 6) Community program is necessary in order to increase the utilization of external public space. 7) A sign is necessary to prevent a criminal act in urban mixed-use commercial facilities. 8) The connection of commercial facilities and activity inducing factors is needed.

초등학교시설 복합화 유형 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Planning of Functional Mixed-use between School Buildings and Community Facilities)

  • This study, as one of the specific suggestions to satisfy the social needs of life long education and to overcome the limitations of the supply of regional facilities, presents plans for the possibility of the mixed-use of educational facilities and regional facilities as the ultimate objective. By focusing on the space composition of the mixed-use facility to execute the roles of the educational establishment actively and efficiently, the purpose is to present the mixed-use methodology in architectural plan on which functions to combine and by how much, when the mixed-use plan of educational facilities. The investigation objects was the 27 elementary schools in Seoul which have undergone mixed-use of educational facilities work as at August, 2007. And each educational facility was classified mixed-use functions and analyzed for the composition form of functions and the characteristics by functions. And for mixed-use facility, form types were derived from the relationship with the school buildings through the analysis on characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of each types were presented by factor-by-factor plan directions of mixed-use facility.

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp a concept for mixed-use tendency of educational facilities, its propellant circumstance in the nation and japan, to analyze a feature of a function, a flow planing of user and the complex form which appear from an instance of the mixed-use tendentious educational facilities and is to suggest a basic matter on the architectural planning for mixed-use tendency of the regional facilities and educational facilities. The results of the study can be summarized were as follow: 1) The step of mixed-use in nation is yet the early step and a extremely feeble to compared with the japan. 2) In a case of the mixed-use tendency facility, the nation is to appear for the necessity of a region but they know of a varied facility to be mixed-use tendency in japan. 3) Much to appear monolithic form in the side of complex form. 4) To appear multi-story in the side of facility-story. 5) It is much example of separating from main entrance, the flow of interior found of dividing into not to transit or transit by the function of facility. 6) To know for being tendency of common and division by the principal of user in facility instituting E V.

  • This study focuses on the review of the present condition of schools and regional public facilities and finds out the basic direction and practical task to utilize a mixed-use school as a regional community hub reorganizing schools and regional public facilities. School facilities have enough potential to be a center of everyday life and educational function with accessibility in neighborhood living environment. Nevertheless it has institutional limitation to make school facility work for entire region because schools and regional public facilities are built and administrated without collaboration of the local governments and office of education. Also current mixed-use school facilities are planned separately or laid out monotonously without local resident's demands. This research analyzes the possibility of mixed-use facility of current operating schools and regional public facilities in Gang-nam gu and categorizes possible public facilities for mixed-use. For successful complex plan of schools and public facilities, next step will be the improvement of administration and laws and the analysis of facilities what local residents need from the preliminary stage with consultation of various stakeholders.

  • Recently, urban mixed-use commercial facilities have been required to raise a safe environment in public areas. So, this study focuses on analyze planning factors selected through the precedent research for Pedestrian safety and environment of urban mixed-use commercial facilities. The first purpose of this study is to analyse the applicative estimation of environmental plan to support pedestrians in public space of urban mixed-use commercial facilities in Seoul. And the second purpose of this study is to propose the directions of environmental planning for creating a pedestrian-friendly environment in public space of urban mixed-use commercial facilities. In order to accomplish this purpose, the environmental planning factors for supporting pedestrians and guidelines for disabled shown in the precedent studies are drawn. A survey of research subjects are 4 urban mixed-use commercial facilities located in downtown Seoul. And then a questionnaire survey is performed on architecture and interior design students to evaluate the importance. As a result of the study, the following conclusion are drawn. The pedestrian-friendly environment in urban mixed-use commercial facilities requires planning to strengthen accessibility, supporting and safety of public space.

초고층 주상복합아파트 커뮤니티시설의 공간실태 및 평가에 관한 연구 (A Space Usage and User Evaluation of Community Facility in High rise Mixed-use Apartment)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the space usage and user evaluation of community facility in High rise Mixed-use Apartment. This study was conducted case study and questionnaire survey. Four High rise Mixed-use Apartments built since 2000 were chosen for case study and 166 residents were collected for questionnaire survey. The frequency, percentage, mean, t-test and F-test were executed through SPSS for Win 12.0 statistics package program. The types of community facilities of High rise Mixed-use Apartments were consisted of sports, child care/study, information sharing, leisure/cultural facilities. The usage percentage of community facilities increased since the residents have moved to their current residence of High rise Mixed-use Apartments from their previous residence. The most satisfactory facility was sports facilities. The satisfaction of community facilities showed high in general. The satisfaction of community facilities was significant with gender and age.

  • As the core of community, schools should play not only for the educational facilities but also for the public facilities. With the mixture of those facilities, the people in the community are able to use these facilities conveniently. The students could also make the best use of the school with the well-established facilities for sport and cultural functions. With those consideration in mind, this study aims to identify the planning feature of mixed-use school. Firstly, the concept of mixed-use and the typology of the development are reviewed. The pre-condition for the design of the mixed-use school are also studied with consideration of the planning tendencies of mixed-use schools in four countries(UK, USA, Japan and Korea). Secondly, eight case schools are selected in Japan and Korea. We analyzed them in terms of following three aspects; 1) The major functions to combine with school design, 2) The spatial arrangement how different functions could be connected in horizontal and vertical order, 3) The circulation system with which students and different user are able to access separately to those function.

  • The purpose of this study is to have a guideline for mixed-use between school buildings and the community facilities as one of the suggestions to satisfy the needs of the society and to overcome the limitations of the supply of regional facilities. Main contents of this study are as a follow : 1) Arrangement of concept for mixed-use facilities, 2) Classification of community facilities for school buildings. 3) Distribution of school buildings in Nowon-Gu 4) Distribution of community facilities in Nowon-Gu 5) A proposal of mixed-use guide line between school buildings and public office.
