개별 인지질 성분의 처리가 대두유의 저장 및 튀김안정성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Individual Phospholipid Components Treating on Storaging and Frying Stability in Soybean Oil)

  • 대두유에 혼합 토코페롤과 개별 인지질 성분으로 phosphatidyl choline(PC), phosphatidyl ethanolamine (PE), phosphatidyl inpsitol(PI), phosphatidyl serine(PS), phosphatidic acid(PA) 및 phosphatidyl glycerol(PG)를 각각 0.03%, 0.05%(w/w) 처리하여 이들 성분이 $50^{\circ}C$의 항온저장 조건에서 대두유의 산가(AV), 과산화물가(POV) 및 OSI에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 또한, 대두유의 가열안정성에 미치는 영향을 측정하기 위하여 $180^{\circ}C$에서 20시간 동안 가열처리하며 5시간 단위로 시료유를 채취하여 처리시간에 따른 발연점(SP) 변화를 측정하였다. 항온저장에 따른 AV변화에서는 그 항산화 효과가 $PA>PC>PI{\geq}PG>PS{\geq}PE$의 순서였으며, POV상승 억제 효과는 PA>PG>PC>PS>PE>PI의 순서였고, OSI 하락 억제효과는 PI>PC>PA>PG>PS>PE의 순서로 나타났다. 이와 같이 동일한 대두유에 대하여도 그 처리효과는 각 측정항목에 따라 서로 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 항온저장과 달리 $180^{\circ}C$에서 20시간 동안 가열처리하며 5시간 마다 시료유를 채취하여 발연점 하락 억제효과를 측정한 결과는 PA>PC>PG>PE>PI>PS의 순이었다. 상대적으로 혼합 토코페롤 처리군은 산가, 과산화물가 상승 억제 효과가 없을 뿐만 아니라 경우에 따라서는 산화 촉진제로 작용하였으며, OSI에서는 일정 부분의 처리 효과를 인정할 수 있었으나 발연점에서는 무처리군 보다도 오히려 그 하락이 심하여 특히 대두유를 튀김유로 사용할 경우에는 혼합 토코페롤의 처리가 바람직하지 못한 것을 알 수 있었다.

고속 교반을 이용한 기-액 혼합 플라즈마방전 시스템의 성능 향상 (Performance Enhancement of Gas-Liquid Mixed Plasma Discharge System using High Speed Agitation)

  • Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) plasma is a new technique for use in environmental pollutant degradation, which is characterized by the production of hydroxyl radicals as the primary degradation species. Due to the short lifetime of the chemically active species generated during the plasma reaction, the dissolution of the plasma gas has a significant effect on the reaction performance. The plasma reaction performance can be enhanced by combining the basic plasma reactor with a homogenizer system in which the bubbles are destroyed and turned into micro-bubbles. For this purpose, the improvement of the dissolution of plasma gas was evaluated by measuring the RNO (N-dimethyl-4-nitrosoaniline, an indicator of the generation of OH radicals). Experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of the diameter, rotation speed, and height of the homogenizer, pore size, and number of the diffuser and the applied voltage on the plasma reaction. The results showed that the RNO removal efficiency of the plasma reactor combined with a homogenizer is two times higher than that of the conventional one. The optimum rotor size and rotation speed of the homogenizer were 15.1 mm, and 19,700 rpm, respectively. Except for the lowest pore size distribution of $10-16{\mu}m$, the pore size of the diffuser showed little effect on RNO removal.

폴리피롤을 이용한 전도성 아크릴 직물의 제조 및 물성 (Preparation and Physical Properties of Conductive Poly(acrylonitrile) Fabrics Containing Polypyrrole)

  • 폴리아크릴로니트릴 (PAN) 직물을 매트릭스로 하여 전도성고분자인 폴리피롤(PPy)과 전도성 복합재료 직물을 제조하였다. 복합재료의 제조는 PAN 직물을 피롤과 산화제를 포함하는 용액에 일정 시간동안 함침하여 직물상에서 전도성 고분자의 중합을 in-situ로 유도하는 방법을 이용하였다. 복합재료의 물성을 최적화 하기 위한 반응 조건을 설정하였으며, 이때 arylsulfonate 계통의 도판트를 부가적으로 첨가하여 이들이 복합재료의 물성에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 본 연구에서 실험한 다양한 종류의 도판트 중에서 antraquinonesulfonate (AQSA)가 부가적으로 첨가된 전도성 PAN 직물이 가장 우수한 전기전도도와 열적 안정성 및 세탁 견뢰도를 나타내었다.

TiO2 코팅 석탄회 복합체의 기상 Acetaldehyde 광분해 특성 (Photocatalytic Degradation of Gaseous Acetaldehyde through TiO2-Coated Fly Ash Composites)

  • The photocatalyst of $TiO_2$ coated on a fly ash composites (TCF) was prepared from precipitant dropping method to remove the acetaldehyde by photocatalytic reaction. The TCF were characterized by crystal aize, crystal structure and specific surface area. The photodegradation of acetaldehyde has been investigated using a UV-illuminated fixed photocatalytic reactor with TCF catalyst and P-25 catalyst in gas phase. The effect of photodegradation reaction conditions, such as initial concentration of acetaldehyde, concentration of oxidant in mixed gas and the light intensity on the photodegradation of acetaldehyde were investigated. P-25 catalyst showed the highest photodegradation of acetaldehyde and anatase $TiO_2$ coated TCF showed higher decomposition rate than rutile coated TCF. The photodegradation rate of acetaldehyde increased with the decrease of flow rate, initial concentration of acetaldehyde ($C_i$) and water vapor, however, it was increased with the increas of UV light intensity. The optimum conditions were weight of TCF=10 g, flow rate=50 ml/min $C_i$=100 ppm, concentration of oxygen=20%, concentration of water vapor=100 ppm.

BJS-Mix001이 Indomethacin 유발 랫트 위점막 손상에 미치는 영향 (Protective Effects of BJS-mix001, in Indomethacin induced Gastric Damages in Rats)

  • The object of this study was to observe the gatro protective effects of BJS-mix001, a mixed herbal formula consisted of 4 herbal drugs Pinelliae Rhizoma : Coptidis Rhizoma : Massa Medicata Fermentata : Ostreae Testa = 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 (g/g) mixtures, which were main component of oriental medicine for treating various digestive diseases, in indomethacin induced gastric damages in rats. Three different dosages of BJS-mix001 (200, 100 and 50 mg/kg) were once orally administered 30 min before indomethacin treatment. Six hrs after indomethacin treatment, changes on the gross lesion scores, fundic histopathology, MPO activity and anti oxidant activities were observed. The results were compared with omeprazole, antioxidant and proton pump inhibitor 10 mg/kg and DA-9601, a standardized extract of the herb Artemisia asiatica 100 mg/kg treated group, respectively. As results of all three different dosages of BJS-mix001 in the indomethacin induced gastric damaged rats, significant decreased gastric damages were detected as compared with the indomethacin treated control rats. BJS-mix001 also strengthened the antioxidative defense systems - decreased the level of lipid peroxidation and catalase activity but increased the level of superoxide dismutase and glutathione contents. BJS-mix001 showed similar gastro protective effects as compared with equal dosage of DA-9601, and BJS-mix001 50 mg/kg showed slighter effects as compared with omeprazole 10 mg/kg, in the present study. The results obtained in this study suggest that BJS-mix001 showed favorable effects in the indomethacin induced gastric damages mediated by strengthening of the antioxidative defense systems.

LCA 기반 PSC 교량의 환경부하 특성분석에 대한 연구 (An Analysis of the Characteristics of Environmental Impact for PSC Beam Bridges using Life Cycle Assessment)

  • 2015년부터 한국에서 시행된 "탄소배출권 거래제"로 인해 각 분야에서 환경문제에 대응하고자 하는 움직임이 커지고 있다. 특히 환경부하량의 정확한 산출이 어려운 건설 분야에서는 ISO 14040 Series의 LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)를 적용하여 환경부하량을 산출하고자 하는 움직임이 지속되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 PSC beam 교량의 시공중 발생하는 환경부하량을 전과정 평가(Life Cycle Assessment, LCA) 방법론을 기반으로 분석하였다. 총 34개의 교량을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 건설 자재별 환경부하량은 레미콘(53.3%), 선재(9.6%), 철근(7.8%), 시멘트(6.8%) 합판(5.5%), 에너지(5.2%) 순으로 도출되었으며, 환경 범주별 환경부하량은 지구온난화(45.5%), 자원고갈(30.4%), 인체독성(10.5%), 광화학산화물생성(8.9%) 순으로 도출되었다. 향후 LCA를 기획 및 설계 단계에서 도입한다면, 환경부하를 고려한 의사결정을 수행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

용액중합에 의해 제조된 폴리아닐린/폴리에틸렌옥사이드 블렌드의 전기전도도 특성에 관한 연구 (The Electrical Conductivity Characteristic of Polyaniline/Poly(ethylene oxide) Blends Prepared by In-Situ Polymerization of Aniline)

  • 메탄올/물의 혼합용매에 아닐린 단량체, 산화제, 도판트 그리고 PEO를 넣어 일정시간 교반한 후, 용액을 캐스팅하여 용매를 증발시켜 전도성 고분자인 폴리아닐린 (PANi)과 열가소성 매트릭스 고분자인 폴리에틸렌옥사이드(PEO)가 혼합된 블렌드를 얻었다. 블렌드 내의 중합된 PANi의 양이 많아질수록 전기전도도가 증가함을 알 수 있었고, PANi의 함유량이 11 wt%만 되어도 전기전도도가 약 0.15 S/cm값을 나타내었다. 교반조 내의 체류시간에 따라 PANi/PEO 블렌드의 형태학이 변함을 관찰하였으며, 이러한 형태학이 전기전도도에 영향을 미침을 알았다. 또한 도판트의 분자크기가 커질수록 제조된 블렌드의 전기전도도가 증가함을 관찰하였다. 매트릭스 고분자로 사용된 PEO 분자량을 변화시키며 블렌드를 제조하였을때, PEO의 분자량이 클수록 제조된 PANi/PEO 블렌드의 전기전도도가 증가함을 관찰하였다.

돼지에서 신장 허혈 관류 손상에 미치는 환원형 L-glutathione의 효과 (The Effects of Reduced L-glutathione on Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury in Pigs)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effects of reduced L-glutathione on the oxidant/antioxidant status(superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), glutathione peroxidase(GPx), protein carbonyl and lipid hydroperoxide(LPO) concentration), renal function(blood urea nitrogen(BUN) and serum creatinine levels), and microscopy of renal tissues in pigs undergoing unilateral renal ischemia-reperfusion(I/R). Sixteen Landrace and Yorkshire mixed-breed pigs were divided randomly into two groups: untreated control group and reduced L-glutathione-treated group(4 mg/kg IV). Each group had 8 pigs. Pigs were unilaterally nephrectomized and the kidney was subject to 30 min of renal pedicle occlusion. Blood samples for biochemical assay were collected on days 1, 3, 5, 7, and 14 post nephrectomy. Renal I/R injury were evaluated histopathologically by the microscopic observation of renal tissue sections and biochemically by the measurement of the plasma creatinine and urea levels. Parameters of oxidative stress such as SOD, GPx, CAT, protein carbonyl and LPO were measured. The elevation of creatine and BUN levels was lower in the treated group, compared with the control group. The activities of antioxidant-enzyme were higher in the treated group, compared with the control group. In histological findings, the severity of damage in the reduced L-glutathione treated group was less when compared to the control group.

Determination of Uric Acid by Chemiluminescence Measurement Using Tris(2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II)-Octylphenylpolyglycol Ether System

  • The determination of uric acid in urine samples was studied by a chemiluminescence measurement using tris (2,2'-bipyridine)ruthenium(II)-octylphenylpolyglycolether [Ru$(bpy)_3^{2+}$ -OPE] system. The oxidized uric acid by Ce(IV) excited Ru$(bpy)_3^{2+}$ to emit a chemiluminescence in this system so that the intensity was stoichio-metrically dependent upon the concentration of uric acid. In a reaction cell, a luminescent reagent, oxidant, surfactant and sulfuric acid were flowed into and mixed with a taken sample. Experimental conditions were optimized to obtain the maximum intensity of chemiluminescence. Each reactant solution of more than the following concentration gave a good result: $2\;{\times}\;10^{?4}$ M Ru$(bpy)_3^{2+}$ , 0.01 M Ce(IV), 6% OPE, and 0.33 M $H_2SO_4$. Any interferences were not shown in this process by the investigation of concomitant constitutes such as albumin, creatine, lactic acid, glucose, urea, $Cl^?,\; Mg^{2+},\;Ca^{2+}$ and so on. The linearity of a calibration curve was good with r = 0.998, the relative standard deviation of the slope was 3.3% and the detection limit was 5.6ng/mL. The recoveries of 80 to 91% were obtained from the standard spiked samples. The values were little bit low, but this procedure could be considered to be reliable for the determination of trace uric acid in urine samples.

Dehydrogenation of Ethylbenzene to Styrene with CO2 over TiO2-ZrO2 Bifunctional Catalyst

  • In the dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene, CO2 could play a role as an oxidant to increase conversion of ethylbenzene and stability as well over TiO2-ZrO2 mixed oxide catalysts. TiO2-ZrO2 catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation method and were characterized by BET surface area, bulk density, X-ray diffraction, temperature programmed desorption of NH3 and CO2. These catalysts were found to be X-ray amorphous with enhanced surface areas and acid-base properties both in number and strength when compared to the respective oxides (TiO2 and CO2). These catalysts were found to be highly active (> 50% conversion), selective (> 98%) and catalytically stable (10 h of time-on-stream) at 600 oC for the dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene. However, in the nitrogen stream, both activity and stability were rather lower than those in the stream with CO2. The TiO2-ZrO2 catalysts were catalytically superior to the simple oxide catalysts such as TiO2 and ZrO2. The synergistic effect of CO2 has clearly been observed in directing the product selectivity and prolonging catalytic activity.
