  • A non-vacuum process for fabrication of $CuIn_xGa_{1-x}Se_2$ (CIGS) absorber layer from the corresponing Cu, In, Ga solution precursors was described. Cu, In, Ga precursor solution was prepared by a room temperature colloidal route by reacting the starting materials $Cu(NO_3)_2$, $InCl_3$, $Ga(NO_3)$ and methanol. The Cu, In, Ga precursor solution was mixed with ethylcellulose as organic binder material for the rheology of the mixture to be adjusted for the doctor blade method. After depositing the mixture of Cu, In, Ga solution with binder on Mo/glass substrate, the samples were preheated on the hot plate in air to evaporate remaining solvents and to burn the organic binder material. Subsequently, the resultant CIG/Mo/glass sample was selenized in Se evaporation in order to get a solar cell applicable dense CIGS absorber layer. The CIGS absorber layer selenized at $530^{\circ}C$ substrate temperature for 1h with various metal organic ratio.

Fluoroethylene Carbonate Addition Effect on Electrochemical Properties of Mixed Carbonate-based Organic Electrolyte Solution for a Capacitor

  • In this paper, organic solvent electrolytes were prepared by a mixture of propylene carbonate (PC), dimethyl carbonate (DMC), tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate ($TEABF_4$)s to evaluate the ionic properties of propylene carbonate (PC)/dimethyl carbonate (DMC) mixtures as solvents for a capacitor application, in view of improving the electrochemical performances. The bulk resistance and interfacial resistance of the mixture electrolytes were investigated using an AC impedance method. The morphology of carbon-based electrodes which were contained in different electrolytes was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) method. From the experimental results, by increasing the FEC content, capacitance of electrodes was increased, and the interfacial resistance was decreased. In particular, by a content of 2 vol % FEC in 0.2 M $TEABF_4$ PC/DMC solvent, the electrolyte showed the superior capacitance. However, when FEC content exceeds 2 vol %, the capacitance was decreased and the interfacial resistance was increased.

  • 방사성의 $Ba^{++}, Sr^{++}, Ca^{++}$ 이온과 양이온 교환수지를 이용한 평형교환법에 의하여 알칼리토류 금속이온과 2염기 유기산 이온사이에 어떤 착물이 형성되는가를 실온에서 조사하였다. 유기산으로써 썩신산과 타르타르산을 사용하였고, 용매로서는 $H_2O$, 20% 아세톤-$H_2O$ 및 20% 에탄올-$H_2O$를 사용하였다. 용액의 pH 는 7.2∼7.4로 조절하였고 용액의 이온 강도는 약 0.1로 조절하였다. 본 연구결과 알칼리토류 금속이온과 썩신산 또는 타르타르산 사이에 1:1 착물이 용액내에서 형성됨을 알았고 또 착물의 상대적 안정도가 다음 순으로 증가함을 알았다. $Ba^{++}; 썩신산<타르타르산; 수용액<혼합용매

  • Chalcopyrite semiconductor $CuInSe_2$ nanoparticles were prepared using a low temperature colloidal route by reacting the starting materials (CuI, $InI_3$ and $Na_2Se$) in solvents. After synthesised $CuInSe_2$ nanoparticles precursors were mixed with organic binder for the viscosity of the precursor slurry to be suitable for the doctor blade method. The mixture of $CuInSe_2$ and binder was deposited onto molybdenum-coated sodalime glass substrates to form thin film. The precursor thin films were preheated on the hot plate to remove remaining solvents and binder material. After subsequent thermal processing of the thin film under a selenium ambient, $CuInSe_2$ absorber layer with grain size significantly lager than that of the nanoparticles was formed.

다양한 크기의 솔더 파우더를 이용한 솔더 페이스트의 저장안정성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Storage Stability of Solder Paste Using Multiple size of solder Powder)

  • Solder paste is widely used as a conductive adhesive in the electronics industry. In this paper, nano and microsized mixed lead-free solder powder (Sn-Ag-Cu) is used to manufacture solder paste. The purpose of this paper is to improve the storage stability using different types of solvents that are used in fabricating the solder paste. If a solvent of sole acetate is used, the nano sized solder powder and organic acid react and form a Sn-Ag-Cu malonate. These formed malonates create fatty acid soaps. The fatty acid soaps absorb the solvents and while the viscosity of the solder paste rises, the storage stability and reliability decrease. When ethylene glycol, a dihydric alcohol, is used the fatty acid soaps and ethylene glycol react, preventing the further creation of the fatty acid soaps. The prevention of gelation results in an improvement in the solder paste storage ability.

Comparative Stability of vit E isomers Extracted from Unsaponifiable Fractions of Rice Bran Oil under Various Temperature and Oxygen Conditions

  • Due to the fact that tocopherols and tocotrienols have antioxidant and anticancer properties, the commercial utilization of unsaponifiable fractions in rice bran is increasing. These nutraceutical compounds, however, are fairly unstable and readily break down when exposed to oxygen or lighting conditions. To compare the relative sensitivity of vit E isomers to heat and oxygen, concentrated unsaponifiable fractions extracted from crude rice bran oil were exposed to various temperature, oxygen (nitrogen-balanced), and bathing solvent conditions and resultant concentration changes in ${\alpha}$- and ${\gamma}$-tocopherols (T) and tocotrienols (T3) were evaluated. Each isomer exhibited different heat stability. Among them, ${\alpha}$-T3 degraded more rapidly compared to other vit E isomers while ${\alpha}$-T was the most stable isomer. Oxygen level also showed significant impact on each isomer's stability where severe reductions of ${\gamma}$-T (by 20%) and ${\gamma}$-T3 (by 29%) were observed under 2% oxygen conditions, while under 0% oxygen conditions no degradation could be observed even after exposure to $95^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours. When various blending solvents were mixed with concentrated unsaponifiable fractions, organic solvents such as isooctane and hexane were more effective in maintaining the stability of ${\gamma}$- T3 compared to edible oils, among which com oil was more efficient than soybean and rice bran oils.

  • 흑연재료를 부극으로 사용하는 리튬2차전지의 유기 전해액으로 propylene carbonate(PC) 용매를 사용하면 흑연층간에 PC의 비가역적 삽입반응으로 인하여 흑연의 exfoliation이 진행된다. 유기전해액으로 ethylene carbonate(EC)를 사용하면 이러한 문제점은 해결되지만, EC의 어는점이 $36.2^{\circ}C$로 높은 것이 단점이다. EC계 전해액에 적정 비율의 PC를 첨가한 혼합 유기 전해액은 전도도가 향상 될 수 있으며, 흑연전극의 exfoliation도 감소시킬 수 있다. EC계 전해액에 첨가한 PC 함량에 따른 유전상수 및 몰전도도를 구하였으며, 동시에 탄소부극에 대한 전기화학적 특성을 조사하였다. $LiPF_6/EC+DEC$ 전해액에 첨가한 PC 함량이 증가하면 유전상수와 몰전도도는 직선적으로 증가하였다. 충방전 시험결과, MCMB-6-28s및 MPCF300의 비가역비용량은 첨가한 PC함량이 $0.83\%$인 경우에는 감소하였으나, 그 이후에는 PC함량에 따라 증가하였다 MPCF3000및 PCG100의 비가역비용량은 PC함량이 $10\%$까지는 50mAh/g이하였다. 그러나, 방전비용량은 첨가한 PC 함량과 관계없이 사용한 탄소재료에 따라서 일정한 값을 나타내었다.

건설업 근로자의 유해 작업 환경 노출 실태에 관한 연구 (Health Hazardous Substances in Construction Work in Korea)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the working conditions In construction workers through measurements of working environments and to improve the working conditions and to design the appropriate environmental and health management system. The results of measurement for working environments in construction work are as following: 1. The excess rate of noise and dust concentration in express highway construction, road construction, building construction and interior painting was 28.6% and 24.5% respectively. 2. The excess rate of mixed organic solvents concentration in interior painting was 39.3%. 3. The chain type bulldozer has the highest level of vibration; the excess rate was 85.7%, and among the vibration instruments, the level of left hand's vibration of all vibrators exceeded the criterion and in the case of drilling all the level of vibration exceeded the criterion in both hands. On the basis of the results in this research the environmental and health management system for construction workers must be considered. Therefore, it is necessary to be introduced the special medical examination and measurement of working environments in construction industry. In defining "the working place" of Article 39 of Enforcement regulations of industrial safety and health act, the word "indoors" should be deleted. Then the eligible industry for measurement of working environment must be extended. And it is also necessary for construction industry to be performed group health management service by agencies such as other manufacturing industry.

Swallow-Tail Terrylene Bisimide 적색 유기 형광체 제조 및 특성 연구 (Preparation and Characterization of Swallow-Tail Terrylene Bisimide as Organic Phosphor)

  • Perylene bisimide derivatives are developed for red organic phosphor because of their advantages, such as excellent luminous efficiency and high thermal stability. Despite these advantages, they have poor solubility characteristics in organic solvents and short emission wavelength as red organic phosphor for hybrid light-emitting diodes (LEDs). In this study, we prepared terrylene bisimide using a coupling reaction and swallow-tail imide group, which has excellent solubility. The structures and properties of swallow-tail terrylene bisimide (9C) were analyzed using 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), UV/Vis spectroscopy, and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The maximum absorption wavelength of (9C) in the UV/Vis spectrum was 647 nm, and the maximum emission wavelength was 676 nm. In the TGA, (9C) demonstrated good thermal stability with less than 5 wt% weight loss up to 415℃. In the solubility test, (9C) has a good solubility of more than 5 wt% in chloroform and dichloromethane. When the compounds (9C) were mixed with PMMA (polymethly methacrylate), the films showed peaks at 680 nm in the PL spectra. The results verify the suitability of (9C) as a red organic phosphor for hybrid LEDs.

Carrier Gas Assisted Solvent Vapor Treatment for Surface Nanostructuring of Molecular Thin Films

  • In this study, the variation in surface morphology of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) thin films treated with a flow of acetone vapor assisted by nitrogen carrier gas was investigated. The CuPc nanorods with similar dimensions were well dispersed throughout the whole film surfaces after ~20 min. of treatment. However, the electronic absorption spectra only changed slightly, which indicates that molecular stacking was not altered during treatment. This treating method is simple and more advantageous compared to other solvent treating technologies such as mixed solvent spray treatment using organic solvents and water since it requires relatively mild treating conditions and does not need the presence of water.
