A Mixed SOC Estimation Algorithm with High Accuracy in Various Driving Patterns of EVs

  • In this paper, a mixed algorithm is proposed to overcome the limitations of the conventional algorithms, which cannot be applied in various driving patterns of drivers. The proposed algorithm based on the coulomb counting method is mixed with reset algorithms that consist of the enhanced OCV reset method and the DCIR iterative calculation method. It has many advantages, such as a simple model structure, low computational overload in various profiles, and a low accumulated SOC error through the frequent SOC reset. In addition, the enhanced parameter based on a mathematical analysis of the second-order RC ladder model is calculated and is then applied to all of the methods. The proposed algorithm is verified by experimental results based on a 27-Ah LiPB. It is observed that the SOC RMSE of the proposed algorithm decreases by about 9.16% compared to the coulomb counting method.

  • 혼합 중요도 시스템은 중요도가 다른 컴포넌트의 조합으로 이루어져 있다. 최근 자동차 시스템과 항공기 시스템에서 사용되는 ISO 26262와 DO-178B 표준에서는 컴포넌트를 중요도에 따라 분류하고 있다. 기존 혼합 중요도 시스템 연구에서는 시스템 모드를 통해서, 효율적이면서 안전한 스케줄링을 추구했다. 이러한 연구의 단점은 고중요도 모드에서 저중요도 작업의 성능저하이다. 이러한 문제를 개선하고자 작업별 중요도 모드를 도입하여 저중요도 작업의 성능을 개선하고 확률적 성능 지표를 설계했다. 시뮬레이션을 통해서 기존 연구 대비 성능 향상 효과를 보였다.

An efficient partial mixed finite element model for static and free vibration analyses of FGM plates rested on two-parameter elastic foundations

  • In this study, a four-node quadrilateral partial mixed plate element with low degrees of freedom (dofs) is developed for static and free vibration analysis of functionally graded material (FGM) plates rested on Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundations. The formulation of the presented finite element model is based on a parametrized mixed variational principle which is developed recently by the first author. The presented finite element model considers the effects of shear deformations and normal flexibility of the FGM plates without using any shear correction factor. It also fulfills the boundary conditions of the transverse shear and normal stresses on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate. Beside these capabilities, the number of unknown field variables of the plate is only six. The presented partial mixed finite element model has been validated through comparison with the results of the three-dimensional (3D) theory of elasticity and the results obtained from the classical and high-order plate theories available in the open literature.

혼류 펌프의 성능 해석 (Performance prediction of mixed-flow pumps)

  • The present study has tested semi-empirical loss models for a reliable performance prediction of mixed-flow pumps with four different specific speeds. In order to improve the predictive capabilities, this paper recommends a new internal loss model and a modified parasitic loss model. The prediction method presented here is also compared with that based on two-dimensional cascade theory. Predicted performance curves by the proposed set of loss models agree fairly well with experimental data for a variety of mixed-flow pumps in the normal operating range, but further studies considering 'droop-like' head performance characteristic due to flow reversal in mixed-flow impellers at low flow range near shut-off head are needed.

Effects of Aluminum and Silicon as Additive Materials for the Zinc Anode in Zn-Air Batteries

  • To solve low cycle efficiency of the zinc anode in Zn-air batteries by corrosion, this study examined the effects of Al as a cathodic protection additive to Zn. The Al-mixed Zn anodes were produced by mixing Zn and Al powder (1, 2, and 3 wt. %). To compare the effects of the Al additive, Si was selected under the same conditions. The morphology and elemental composition of the additives in the Zn were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and inductively coupled plasma - mass spectrometry. The anti-corrosion effects of the Al and Si-mixed Zn anodes were examined by linear polarization. Cyclic voltammetry and charge-discharge tests were conducted to evaluate the electrochemical performance of the Al and Si-mixed Zn anodes. As a result, the Al-mixed Zn anodes showed highest corrosion resistance and cycling performance. Among these, the 2 wt.% Al-mixed Zn anodes exhibited best electrochemical performance.

  • Polyethersulfone (PES) 고분자 상변환막의 성능을 향상시키기 위해 PES 고분자에 나노 크기의 ZnO 무기입자를 함침시킨 혼합기질막(mixed matrix membrane)을 제조하고 특성을 평가하였다. PES-ZnO 혼합기질막은 ZnO 나노입자를 PES 대비 최대 0.375 wt%의 낮은 비율로 첨가시킨 PES-ZnO-NMP(N-methyl-1-pyrrolidone)로 이루어진 캐스팅 용액을 사용하여 상변환법을 통해 제조하였다. 제조된 혼합기질 막의 물성과 특성은 막의 단면구조 관찰, 접촉각 측정, 인장강도 측정, 순수 투과량 측정 및 BSA 단백질 용액의 한외여과 실험을 통해 평가하였다. 이 결과 혼합기질 막은 PES 고분자 matrix에 함유된 ZnO 나노입자로 인해 막의 친수성이 증가하여 막오염 발생이 억제되어 투과량이 증가하였다. ZnO 나노입자는 혼합기질막의 제조에 있어 막오염의 발생 억제와 투과량 증가에 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 무기물 첨가제임을 알 수 있다.

  • 불규칙 혼합잡음의 등가 ARMA 모델 표현을 사용하여 자이로의 불규칙 혼합잡음을 고려하는 보조항법시스템 칼만필터 설계 방법을 제안한다. 필터 설계 절차는 먼저 보조항법 시스템에 사용되는 필터는 간접 되먹임 칼만필터임을 고려하여 등가 ARMA 모델로 표현된 자이로 불규칙 잡음의 시간 차분을 구한다. 다음으로 시간 차분된 ARMA 모델을 상태 방정식으로 표현하는데 AR과 MA 차수에 따라 두 가지로 나누어진다. 먼저 AR 차수가 큰 경우 가제어 혹은 가관측 특이형태를 사용한다. MA 차수가 큰 경우에는 몇 단계 이후의 예측치를 상태변수로 하는 상태방정식을 사용하는데, 이때 자이로 출력을 보상하는 값에 따라 다시 고차수 필터와 저차수 필터로 구분된다. 마지막으로 자이로 불규칙 잡음을 보조항법시스템 칼만필터에 포함시켜 최종적인 필터 모델을 얻는다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 제안된 고차수 및 저차수 필터 모두 혼합잡음을 백색잡음으로 간주한 기존의 필터보다 항법오차를 감소시킬 수 있음을 보임으로써 그 효용성을 제시한다.

석유코크스와 혼합된 국내무연탄과 수입유연탄 슬래그의 특성 규명 (Effect of the imported bituminous coal and the domestic anthracite coal mixed with petroleum coke)

  • The vanadium rich ash of petroleum coke can give a slagging problem during because of the high melting point of $V_2O_3$. For continuous removal of the slag, petroleum coke is often mixed with coal, and the viscosity of the mixed slag is an important property, determining the gasification temperature. The viscosities of the mixed slag from various mixing ratios of petroleum coke and a bituminous coal were investigated. When mixed with a crystalline coal slag, $T_{cv}$ was increased at a higher the coke content in the mixed feed. When the $V_2O_3$ concentration was greater than 4.5%, it was difficult to get accurate measurements of $T_{cv}$. The SEM/EDX analyses of the cooled slag revealed that the major crystalline phase was anorthite, and $T_{cv}$ should be related to the formation temperature of anorthite. The SEM/EDX analyses also showed that, at low concentrations of vanadium, part vanadium formed a crystalline phase with Al-Si-Ca-Fe, and the rest remained in the glassy phase, suggesting that vanadium existed as a slag component at the low viscosity region. At a high concentration, vanadium forms a phase with Ca, and the Ca-V phase was separated from the slag phase, and formed a layer above the slag. FeO in petroleum coke also played an important role determining viscosity: at high temperatures, increased FeO lowered the viscosity, but as it formed a spinel phase, the depletion of FeO in the slag resulted in a higher viscosity.
