터널 발파에서의 저폭속폭약과 일반폭약의 혼용장약법 (The Mixed Charging Method with Low-velocity Explosives and Normal Explosives in Tunnel Blasting)

  • 도심지 터널 즉 터널의 상부 근접한 거리에 보안물건이 존재하는 경우 일반적인 폭약만을 사용해서는 발파진동을 규제치내에서 조절이 불가능하여 폭약공법이 아닌 무진동, 미진동 공법을 사용해야 한다. 하지만 무진동 공법들은 터널굴착공사비가 크게 증가 하게 되며, 또 공사기간도 길어진다. 일반적으로 노천채굴에서는 폭속이 약2,000 m/s 정도인 저폭속폭약이 응용 사용되어 왔으나 터널발파에는 사용되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 저폭속폭약을 일반 폭약과 공내에서 혼용장약하여 발파작업을 한 결과 일반 폭약으로 발파하는 것보다 진동이 25~30%정도가 감소하였다. 도심지터널 및 보안물건 근접한 터널에서는 진동규제치내에서 미진동으로 시공할 수 있는 저폭속폭약과 일반폭약을 혼용 사용하는 발파 방법을 사용하는 것이 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

Effects of mixed formulation of tamoxifen and blue honeysuckle on the pharmacokinetics profiles of tamoxifen after single oral administration

  • Objectives: Here, we investigated the effects of concentrated and lyophilized powders Blue honeysuckle (BH) on the PK of tamoxifen, to establish the pharmacokinetics (PK) profiles as one of essential process in new drug development. Methods: After single oral treatment of 0.4 mg/ml of tamoxifen or tamoxifen 0.4 with BH 40, 20 and 10 mg/ml, the plasma were collected at 0.5 hr before administration, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 24 hr after end of single or mixed formula treatment. Plasma concentrations of tamoxifen were analyzed using LC-MS/MS methods. Tmax, Cmax, AUC, t1/2 and MRTinf were analyzed using noncompartmental PK data analyzer programs. Results: Tamoxifen and BH 40 mg/ml did not induce any significant change on the plasma tamoxifen concentrations, while significant decreases were observed in tamoxifen and BH 10 mg/ml from 2 to 8 hr as compared with tamoxifen only, respectively. Furthermore, significant increases of Tmax in tamoxifen and BH 40 mg/ml, significant decreases of Cmax in tamoxifen and BH 20 mg/ml, significant decreases of AUC0-t, AUC0-inf and MRTinf in tamoxifen and BH 10 mg/ml were demonstrated as compared with tamoxifen only. Conclusion: Taken together, tamoxifen and BH 10 mg/ml induced significant decrease of the oral bioavailability of tamoxifen, while tamoxifen and BH 40 or 20 mg/ml did not critically influenced, suggesting formulated BH concentration-independencies. It, therefore, seems to be needed that pharmacokinetic study after repeated administration should be tested to conclude the effects of BH on the pharmacokinetics of tamoxifen.

재취급을 고려한 최적 혼적결정법 (Optimal Mixed Storage Methods Considering Rehandles of Inventories)

  • 물류의 증가로 생산된 제품이 소비자에게 전달되기 전 저장하는 제품 창고의 운영과 유지는 제품원가의 큰 부분을 차지하게 되었다. 취급작업 횟수의 감소, 신속한 출고 작업, 제품의 효율적 관리를 위해 저장설비의 설치, 저장 공간의 추가 확보 등의 시설 투자 방법으로도 이런 문제를 해결 할 수 있지만 기존 저장 공간을 최대한 활용함으로써 취급작업 수를 줄일 수 있다. 저장시설 내에서의 운영방법에는 여러 가지가 있겠지만 저장 공간의 제약이 있기 때문에 제품을 겹쳐 쌓아야 하고 그 경우 반드시 재취급을 고려해야 한다. 재취급 문제는 창고의 취급 효율을 결정짓는 가장 중요한 문제이다. 따라서 창고의 운영 효율을 높이기 위해서는 재취급을 최소화할 수 있는 방법을 고려할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 기대 재취급을 최소화하는 혼적결정 문제를 다루고자 한다. 혼적결정을 위한 최적화 모형을 제시하였고 해를 구하기 위한 유전자 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 이 연구결과는 컨테이너 터미널을 포함하여 재취급이 발생할 수 있는 창고의 운영에 활용될 수 있다.

Quality Control Probes for Spot-Uniformity and Quantitative Analysis of Oligonucleotide Array

  • Quality control QC for spot-uniformity is a critical point in fabricating an oligonucleotide array, and quantification of targets is very important in array analysis. We developed two new types of QC probes as a means of confirming the quality of the uniformity of attached probes and the quantification of targets. We compared the signal intensities and fluorescent images of the QC and target-specific probes of arrays containing only target-specific probes and those containing both QC and target-specific probes. In a comparison of quality control methods, it was found that the arrays containing QC probes could check spot-uniformity or spot defects during all processes of array fabrication, including after spotting, after washing, and after hybridization. In a comparison of quantification results, the array fabricated by the method using QC probes showed linear and regular results because it was possible to normalize variations in spot size and morphology and amount of attached probe. This method could avoid errors originating in probe concentration and spot morphology because it could be normalized by QC probes. There were significant differences in the signal intensities of all mixtures (P<0.05). This result indicates that the method using QC probes is more useful than the ordinary method for quantification of mixed target. In the quantification of mixed targets, this method could determine a range for mixed targets of various amounts. Our results suggest that methods using QC probes for array fabrication are very useful to the quality control of spots in the fabrication processes of quantitative oligonucleotide arrays.

석탄과 제지슬러지 혼소에 따른 연소특성에 관한 연구 (Characterization on Co-Combustion of Coal and Paper Mill Sludge)

  • Efforts were made to determine the activation energy and the reaction order by adopting Kissinger and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa analysis methods. All the data were acquired from TGA thermograms for the mixed fuels with different temperature heating rates. It could be known that both the coal and the mixed fuels decomposed thermally at temperature ranges of $300{\sim}700^{\circ}C$. The temperature at the maximum reaction rate, Tp, could be determined by DTG method, which could be obtained by differentiation of TGA thermogram. Kissinger analysis showed the linear relationship with experimental data, showing the activation energy of $319.64{\pm}4$ kJ/mol. From Flynn-Wall-Ozawa analysis, it was shown that the activation energies and the reaction orders did not undergo any significant changes with both the conversions and the heating rates. It was considered from this facts that the combustion mechanism of the mixed fuels could not be affected by the extent of conversion and heating rate. In the present study, the activation energies showed different values according to the different analysis methods. The difference might be originated from the inconsistency of the mathematical data treatment method. In other words, while the activation energies obtained from the Kissinger method indicated the average values for overall reaction, that from Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method showed the average values for the each conversion around Tp.

급행철도 수요예측을 위한 RP와 SP 결합모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on Mixed RP/SP Models of Demand Forecasting for Rail Rapid Transit)

  • 최근 철도 서비스를 개선하고자 기존선을 복선 및 전철화 하는 등 철도네트워크 기능강화사업이 활발히 추진되고 있다. 이를 배경으로 본 논문에서 급행철도와 같이 새로운 철도 운영서비스가 제공될 경우 타 교통수단으로부터 얼마의 전환수요가 발생될 것이며, 철도이용형태는 어떻게 변화될 것인지? 등 앞으로 건설될 대구권 광역철도를 대상으로 SP와 RP데이터에 의한 전환수요 예측방법의 적용성을 검토하였다. 모형 구축결과, 기존 SP와 RP데이터를 결합하는 동시적 모형과 순차적 모형이 모두 유용하여 총통행시간과 통행비용의 파라미터 추정치가 충분한 설명력을 나타내고 있으며, 동시적 방법이 보다 효율적으로 분석되었다. 특히 RP+SP의 결합모형의 타당성을 더욱 높이기위해서 RP데이터를 비례적으로 적용한다면, 철도요금과 통행시간 설정에 따라 전환수요를 쉽게 파악할 수 있을 것이며, 대구권 광역철도를 비롯하여 타 지역에서도 보다 실용적으로 적용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

케나프를 이용한 수초지 제조에 관한 연구 (The Prodoction of Kenaf Hand-Made Paper)

  • Hanji, the korean traditional papers were mostly made from mulberry paper. But the production and demand of hanji have decreased rapidly because mulberry paper yields were insufficient and handworked hanji procedures were complicated. Recently, the researches on hanji were carried out to improve the properties of hanji. Kenaf fibers have been interested as a substitute resource of mulberry paper for hanji production. In this research, Kenai pulps were manufactured with removal methods of lignin or hemicellulose from kenaf fibers and paper mulberry pulps with traditional alkali methods. Kenaf papers, paper mulberry, and kenaf/paper mulberry mixed papers were manufactured with their pulps. The crystallinity, fiber length, color of the pulps and tensile strength, tear strength, water absorption of the papers were investigated. The results were as follow: The removal rates of lignin of chemical retted kenaf fibers with sodium chlorite reaction for 40 minutes were 70% and were higher than 40% of double retted fibers. Paper mulberry pulps has less lignin and hemicellulose than kenaf differently. The crystallinity of paper mulberry pulps were very low with 60%, but kenaf pulps were 90%. The chemical retted CR-40-1 pulps were similar with paper mulberry pulps on fiber length & fibrilation of fibers. Tensile strength of paper mulberry were higher than kenaf papers because of fibrilation of paper mulberry, but tear strength were lower. Tensile strength and tear strength were improved on kenaf/paper mulberry 30/70 mixed papers.

배합 비율에 따른 황련과 황금의 혼합 전탕액 및 개별 전탕 혼합액 내 성분 함량 분석 (Quantitative analysis of the marker compounds in the decoctions of Coptis chinensis-Scutellaria baicalensis at different proportion produced by 'Mixed decoction' and 'Single decoction mixture')

  • Objective : The present study aimed to evaluate the change of the content of 7 active components in decoctions produced by various proportional pairs of Coptis chinensis Franch and Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi in 'Mixed decoction (MD)' and 'Single decoction mixture (SDM)'. Methods : The samples of MDs were prepared by decocting C. chinensis : S. baicalensis with the ratios of 10 g:10 g, 10 g:20 g, and 20 g:10 g. Those of SDMs were prepared by blending each single decoction from C. chinensis and S. Baicalensis with the ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 2:1. The samples were evaluated by high-performance liquid chromatography with statistical analyses. Results : The analytical methods, which were optimized and validated, were reliably applied to present research. The content of all components in both MDs and SDMs at C. chinensis : S. baicalensis = 1:1 ratio were reduced compared with single herb decoction. The components from each compositional herb in MDs were proportionally increased with the ratio of original herb increased, but inversely proportional to paired herb. The contents of components in MDs were significantly lower than those in SDMs at all ratios, except for high content of baicalin at C. chinensis : S. baicalensis = 2:1. Conclusion : It was concluded that MDs and SDMs as well as the proportions of herbs could affect the contents of the components from original herbal medicines. These results provide the information for the quality control of herbal medicine combined C. chinensis with S. baicalensis.

SENTINEL-2 위성영상을 이용한 조림 특성 조사: 세미양오름를 통한 사례 연구 (Characterization of Tree Composition using Images from SENTINEL-2: A Case Study with Semiyang Oreum)

  • Global warming affects forests and their ecology. Diversity in the forest is a buffer that reduces the damage due to global warming. Mixed forests are ecologically more valuable as versatile habitats and are effective in preventing landslides. In Korea, most forests were created by simple afforestation with trees of evergreen species. Typically, evergreen trees are shallow-rooted, and deciduous trees are deep-rooted. Mixed forest tree roots grip the soil effectively, which reduces the occurrence of landslides. Therefore, improving the distribution of tree types is essential to reduce damage due to global warming. For this improvement, the investigation of tree types of the forest is needed. However, determining the tree type distribution of forests that are spread over wide areas is labor-intensive and time-consuming. This study suggests effective methods for determining the distribution of tree types in a forest that is spread across a relatively wide area. Using normalized difference vegetation index and RGB images from unmanned aerial vehicles, each evergreen and deciduous tree, and grassland area can be distinguished. The distinguished image determines the distribution of tree type. This method is effective compared to directly determining the tree type distribution in the forest by the use of manpower. The data from these methods could be applied to plan a mixed forest or to prepare for future damage due to global warming.

Antioxidant, Black Hair, and Hair Growth Effect of Mixed Extracts of Nardostachys jatamansi, Ocimum basilicum and Crocus sativus

  • The purpose of this study is to confirm the antioxidant, black hair, and hair growth effects of the N. jatamansi, O. basilicum, and C. sativus mixed extracts that pharmacological efficacy has been verified. Accordingly, four samples (NOC-1 to-4) produced under different extraction conditions were prepared and the results are as follows. First, all samples showed an increase in antioxidant content in a concentration-dependent manner from the results of antioxidant efficacy. In particular, NOC-4 extracted by steaming and ultrasonic methods showed the highest antioxidant effect among the four samples. As a result of analysis of the amount of melanin production in mouse melanoma cells, NOC-4 with concentration of 500 ㎍/ml showed higher melanin production compared to the control group, so the black hair efficacy was the best. Also, in the hair growth test results, it was found that the hair growth was the best at 0.94 ± 0.10 mm at experimental group orally administered with 500 mg/kg of NOC-4. In addition, as a result of cytotoxicity analysis in mouse melanoma cells, the safety of samples was demonstrated by maintaining cell viability of 95% or more at all concentrations. These results suggest that the steaming and ultrasonic extraction method increased the extraction yield of active ingredients for antioxidant, melanin, and hair generation, thereby affecting physiological activity. Based on these results, if the steaming and ultrasonic extraction methods are applied to the mixed extraction of N. jatamansi, O. basilicum, and C. sativus, it is judged that the practical potential as a natural material for black hair and hair growth agents will increase.
