Since the Korean War, starvation and severly desperate living conditions hit the whole country. However, Koreans finally overcame such difficulties, achieving the miracle on the Han River. Through rapid industrial developments, Korea would not need any more supports from the outside but rather became a country which would offer a support. Meanwhile, in 1997, the Korean domestic economy underwent IMF which had caused a massive number of unemployeds. Among those people, many began to show interest in D.I.Y woodcraft for a whole new change and eventually, the industry of D.I.Y woodcraft business became expanded. Now, Korea survived I.M.F and was grown as one of the leading countries in the world, having held the G20 summit conference. Such achievements helped national income increased with the domestic GNP of $30,000, having exceeded $20,000. The population also grew to over fifty million and with all these factors, Korea joined the ranks of advanced countries. As a living environment of an individual gets improved and people have had time on their sides due to the five-day workweek, many have been taking this opportunity to engage in self-development and leisure activities. As trends are pursuing eco-friendliness and D.I.Y, D.I.Y woodcraft workshops are opening nationwide. Considering this, as analyzing present conditions of D.I.Y woodcraft workshops, which are being quickly popular at this moment in Korea, this study focuses on presenting a Korean-style D.I.Y woodcraft workshop, suggesting how to promote D.I.Y woodcraft business to be a pivot of the furniture industry in Korea.

The element of the civic size is much more emphasized than that of the past national size in competitiveness of the information society and knowledge based society like today. It is for the beautiful and fresh civic creation like the civic size industry, historical culture, and environment to be the competitiveness. Especially, the city of elegant and specialized space is a role of enhancing the quality of the city than any other area. Recently, Seoul is decided as the capital of the world design in ICSID held on San Francisco at 2007. It is an opportunity for the Seoul to leap as the design city which made a miracle of the Han River as the industrial city. However, the local history, the axis of the traditional time, the axis of the space, and the direction of the local development are deficient, because the public design business is progressed in very short term and at improvising which has been done in local government. It is impossible for people to take part in actively and it is fallen down for the city to make a sustainable possibility. In this paper, I would like to find out how to make the local identity and help the local activity. It is suggested to make the fun, comfortable and playing street using the theme street by storytelling. Eventually, the object of this paper is to review the effectiveness of the method where the Itaewon of design Seoul street construction business is applied by the theme street of the storytelling.

Automotive transmission systems are assembled with a large number of gears and shafts, and rolling bearings are used to ensure their smooth operation. Gear oil in the gear box contains solid particles such as wear debris from contacting gears and metallic chips. This particle-enriched lubricating oil can cause premature failure of the rolling bearings. Research aimed at improving the service life of these rolling bearings has been confined mainly to design and lubrication of the inner/outer rings and the rolling elements. In this paper, we redesigned the shape of the cage pocket of a deep groove ball bearing to reduce the premature failure due to particle contamination. Test bearings are assembled with this new cage design containing a hole punched in the cage pocket. Endurance tests are carried out using the contaminated lubricating oil with miracle grid as hard particle. The duration and damaged bearing component shapes are compared for two different cages. The B₁₀ life of bearing with new cage is increased by about 66% compared to the conventional cage. This is because the hard particles can be easily discharged through the pocket hole without staying for a long time in the lubrication regions. This greatly decreases abrasive wear and dents on the highly stressed ball bearing surfaces. Therefore, the cage design of this study, containing a pocket hole, can significantly delay the premature failure of rolling bearings and improve the endurance life.

A new standard rose cultivar "Peach Pudding" was bred from the cross between deep red standard cultivar 'Red Sandra' and light pink standard cultivar 'Dolores' at the National Horticulture Research Institute. The cross was made in 2000 and "Peach Pudding" was finally selected in 2006 after investigating characteristics for three years from 2002 to 2006. 'Peach Pudding', a pink standard cultivar has good flower shape and fashionable flower color. The major characteristics of this cultivar are 113.1 stems/$m^2$/year in yield, 60.6 cm in length of cut flower, 8.7 cm in flower diameter, 38.6 in petal number, and 12.8 days in vase life. This cultivar can be propagated by both cutting and grafting. The consumer's preference of this cultivar is relatively higher than that of control cultivar, 'New Miracle'.

Antidolary active and anti-sugar mechanisms of the ova family (石斛; Dendrobii herba) ethanol extract (EED) were investigated. The EED was administered orally four times a day in a diabetic mouse induced by strepto Joe Toshin to reveal and reveal its pharmacological miracle through experimental studies that reduce the liver function of empty blood sugar, glythamic oxal acetate levels, insulin levels and glutamic acid trans aminaase and glutamic acid pyruvic acid trans amine. EED increased insulin secretion by glucose in RINm5F beta cells as well as intraperitoneal glucose intakes in L6 muscle cells. Thus, EED has shown great promise in displaying anti-diabetes activity not only by increasing insulin secretion but also by increasing intakes per cell, and hopes that future research on pharmacological mechanisms for quartz (Dendrobii herba) ethanol extract will be more active and contribute greatly to the treatment of diabetes.

Site-specific performance is always the real on-site work taking place at the site. Hence, it deals with the reality, in other words, the time of creation and formation. And it creates value and meaning through the interaction and continuous direct communication process between the performers, audience and the local residents. In this performance, the audience's status as the passive observer changes. They become the co-agent who actively lead and complete the performance through their own experience. We have examined the The Working Methods of Site-specific Performance and Aesthetics of Effect through four Korean performances ; Marie, An aesthetic experiment of site as the storyteller; Heterotopia and Urban Movement Research or Play: We Will Move Your Sofa, as performances which have Revealed history, politics, institution engraved in the site ; A Song of Mandala and Miracle, as a ritualistic site-specific performance at the historic site. Some remarks on Site-specific performance ; First, In Site-specific performance, the habitus peculiar to the stage art and the mode of reception are changed. Second, a new mode of theatrical communication requires creator and audience to have a sharp aesthetic sensibility and to change one's perceptual habit. Third, Site-specific performance can act as a demonstration for the viewpoints of political activism through what could be called a dramatic close-up effect. Fourth, Site-specific performance also has the risk of merely becoming an unfocused and scattered performance or degenerating into a pseudo-sightseeing. To avoid this, an in-depth study of the site and its socio-cultural context, and the clear motivation with which one is trying to reveal and tell from the site must be indispensable. As the co-agent, the audience should also be aware and think about what the given performance signifies today.

Moringa oleifera Lam (MOL) has been used as a traditional medicine to treat various cancers and inflammation. Whereas the bioactivities of the MOL leaf and seed are well reported, the study of the root is still rudimentary. In this study, the ethanol extract of MOL (EEMOL) and its subsequent organic solvent fractions were prepared and their anticoagulation activity in vitro and platelet aggregation inhibitory activity were evaluated. The EEMOL had negligible anticoagulation and strong platelet aggregation activities. However, the hexane and ethyl acetate fractions of EEMOL showed significant inhibition against thrombin, prothrombin, coagulation factors, and platelet aggregation, without hemolytic activity up to 1.0 mg/ml. Our results suggest that the active fractions of MOL root have potential as new anti-thrombosis agents.

Emotion recognition is an essential component of complete interaction between human and machine. The issues related to emotion recognition are a result of the different types of emotions expressed in several forms such as visual, sound, and physiological signal. Recent advancements in the field show that combined modalities, such as visual, voice and electroencephalography signals, lead to better result compared to the use of single modalities separately. Previous studies have explored the use of multiple modalities for accurate predictions of emotion; however the number of studies regarding real-time implementation is limited because of the difficulty in simultaneously implementing multiple modalities of emotion recognition. In this study, we proposed an emotion recognition system for real-time emotion recognition implementation. Our model was built with a multithreading block that enables the implementation of each modality using separate threads for continuous synchronization. First, we separately achieved emotion recognition for each modality before enabling the use of the multithreaded system. To verify the correctness of the results, we compared the performance accuracy of unimodal and multimodal emotion recognitions in real-time. The experimental results showed real-time user emotion recognition of the proposed model. In addition, the effectiveness of the multimodalities for emotion recognition was observed. Our multimodal model was able to obtain an accuracy of 80.1% as compared to the unimodality, which obtained accuracies of 70.9, 54.3, and 63.1%.

This study investigated the information needs of prisoners and the adequacy of information resources in prison libraries in Anambra State, Nigeria. Two research questions guided the study. The population of the study was 1781 inmates in prisons in Anambra State. The sample size of 327 was selected using Taro Yamane's formula and proportionate stratified sampling techniques. Two instruments titled the Information Needs of Prisoners Questionnaire and the Adequacy of Information Resources Checklist were used for data collection. The instruments were validated by three experienced lecturers. One in the department of Educational Foundations (Measurement and Evaluation Unit) and two in the Department of Library and Information Science, all at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Cronbach's alpha was used to determine the internal consistency of the questionnaire items, with a value of 0.79. The researchers administered the questionnaires with the help of four research assistants (correctional officers). Out of 327 questionnaires administered, 314 were successfully retrieved. The percentage return rate of distributed questionnaires is 96%. Data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics of the mean; also, the International Federation of Library Association (IFLA) guideline for library services to prisoners was also used as a yardstick for the measurement of adequacy. The results from the data analysis indicated that prisoners have diverse information needs that, when met, would help them during their stay in prison as well as when they are eventually released; these needs include legal information, information on prison rules, financial information, and others. While there were few information resources found to be adequate, the inadequacy of most of the listed information resources is recorded in prison libraries in Anambra State, Nigeria. It is therefore recommended that information resources be made adequately available for prisoners in relation to their information needs.
