BaTiO$_3$계 세라믹의 $Al_2$O$_3$ 첨가에 따른 유전 특성 (Dielectric properties of BaTiO$_3$ system Ceramics Doped with $Al_2$O$_3$)

  • (Ba$\_$0.6-x/Sr$\_$0.4/Ca$\_$x/)TiO$_3$(x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) ceramics were fabricated by the mixed-oxide method and their structural and dielectric properties were investigated with variation of composition ratio and an amount of Al$_2$O$_3$(0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 wt%) doping content. As a result of the X-ray diffraction BSCT specimens showed dense and homogeneous structure without presence of the second phase. The sintered density was decreased with increase an Al$_2$O$_3$ doping content. The Curie temperature and relative dielectric constant at room temperature were decreased with increasing an amount of Al$_2$O$_3$ doping content. The dielectric loss is minimum for BSCT doped with 1.5wt% Al$_2$O$_3$ content. The tunability was decreased with increasing an Ca content and is about 4.2% for BSCT(50/40/10) doped with 2.0wt% Al$_2$O$_3$ content.

$Pb(Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2}$O$_3$-$PbTiO_3$계 세라믹스의 강유전성 (Ferroelectricity of the $Pb(Sc_{1/2}Nb_{1/2}$O$_3$-$PbTiO_3$ based Ceramics)

  • High-power piezoelectric materials are being developed for applications such as actuators and ultrasonic motors. In this paper, ferroelectric property of iron-doped 0.57 (Sc$_{1}$2//Nb$_{1}$2/)O$_3$-0.43 PbTiO$_3$. which is the morphotropic phase boundary composition for the PSN-PT system, was investigated. The maximum dielectric constant ( $\varepsilon$$_{33}$/$\varepsilon$$_{0}$ = 2551) and the minimum dielectric loss(tan $\delta$ = 0.51 %) at room temperature were obtained at 01. wt% and 0.3 wt% of iron additions. With additions of the Fe$_2$O$_3$ the electromechanical coupling factor of radial mode k$_{p}$ and the piezoelectric coefficient d$_{33}$ were slightly decreased, on the other hand the mechanical quality factor was increased significantly. The highest mechanical quality factor (Qm= 297) was obtained at 0.3 wt% Fe$_2$O$_3$, which is 4.4 times larger than that of pure 0.57 PSN-0.43PT ceramics. The temperature dependence of the dielectric constant and dielectic loss was observed between 2$0^{\circ}C$ and 35$0^{\circ}C$ .X> .X> .

예측제어를 이용한 T-형 3-레벨 인버터의 중성점 전압제어 (The DC-link Voltage Balancing of the Three-Level T-type Inverter Using the Predictive Control)

  • This paper is a study on the neutral point voltage balancing of the three-phase 3-level T-type inverter using the predictive control techniques. Recently, multi-level inverter has been attracting attention as the advantages such as efficiency improving and harmonic reduction. Especially, the T-type inverter topology is advantageous in low DC-link voltage. However, in case of the prediction control, it takes a lot of time, because there exist 27 voltage vectors and it has to be calculated according to the respective voltage vectors. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method to implement predictive control techniques while reducing the operation time. In order to reduce the operation time, the predictive control is implemented by using the minimum voltage vector except for the unnecessary voltage vector. The result of the implemented predictive control is added to the SPWM by using the offset voltage. It was verified through simulation and experimental results.

  • As photovoltaic(PV) power generation systems become more common, it will be necessary to investigate islanding detection method for PV systems. Islanding of PV systems can cause a variety of problems and must be prevented. However, if the real and reactive power of load and PV system are closely matched, islanding detection by passive methods becomes difficult. Also, most active methods lose effectiveness when there are several PV systems feeding the same island. The active frequency drift positive feedback method(AFDPF) enables islanding detection by forcing the frequency of the voltage in the island to drift up or down. In this paper the research for the minimum value of chopping fraction gain applied digital phase-locked-loop(DPLL) to AFDPF considering output power quality and islanding prevention performance are performed by simulation and experiment in IEEE Std 929-2000 islanding test.

맞춤형 머리전달함수 구현을 위한 모델링 기법 (Modeling HRTFs for Customization)

  • This study reveals some recent attempt in modeling empirically obtained B&K HATS (Head and Torso Simulator) HRTFs (Head Related Transfer Functions) to Isolate parameters that stimulate lateral and elevation perception. Localization using non-individual HRTFs often yields poor performance in synthesizing virtual sound sources when applied to a group of individuals due to differences in size and shape of head, pinnae, and torso. For realization of both effective and efficient virtual audio it is necessary to develop a method to tailor a given set of non-individual HRTFs to fit each listener without measuring his/her HRTF set. Pole-zero modeling is applied to fit HRIRs (Head Related Impulse Responses) and modeling criterions for determining suitable number of parameters are suggested for efficient modeling. Horizontal HRTFs are modeled as minimum-phase transfer functions with appropriate ITDs (Interaural Time Delay) obtained from RTF (Ray Tracing Formula) to better fit the size of listener's head for usage in simple virtualizer algorithms without complex regularization processes. Result of modeling HRTFs in the median plane is shown and parameters responsible for elevation perception are isolated which can be referred to in the future study of developing customizable HRTFs.

  • 본 연구는 에틸렌-공기 혼합물로 채워져 있는 변형 가능한 구리 관에서의 초음속 화염 전파를 수치적으로 살펴보았다. 탄화수소의 화염 전파를 해석하기 위하여 지배방정식으로 Navier-Stokes 방정식과 Arrhenius 형태의 1단계 화학 반응식을 활용하였으며 변형 가능한 관을 해석하기 위하여 Inviscid Euler 방정식을 활용하였다. 또한, 두 물질 간 경계면 추적을 위하여 Level-set 기법을, 경계값 결정을 위하여 ghost fluid 기법을 사용하였다. 이러한 수치적 기법을 바탕으로 관의 변화에 따른 초음속 화염 내 팽창파의 전파 및 그에 따른 간섭 현상을 밀도 및 속도 변화를 통해 확인하였으며 초음속 화염 전파에도 안전성이 확보되는 최소 관 두께를 예측할 수 있는 수치적 기반을 마련하였다.

Structural and electrical properties of lead free ceramic: Ba(Nd1/2Nb1/2)O3

  • Impedance and electrical conduction studies of $Ba(Nd_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3$ ceramic prepared using conventional high temperature solid-state reaction technique are presented. The crystal symmetry, space group and unit cell dimensions were estimated using Rietveld analysis. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated the formation of a single-phase cubic structure with space group $Pm\bar{3}m$. Energy dispersive X-ray analysis and scanning electron microscopy studies were carried to study the quality and purity of compound. The circuit model fittings were carried out using the impedance data to find the correlation between the response of real system and idealized model electrical circuit. Complex impedance analyses suggested the dielectric relaxation to be of non-Debye type and negative temperature coefficient of resistance character. The correlated barrier hopping model was employed to successfully explain the mechanism of charge transport in $Ba(Nd_{1/2}Nb_{1/2})O_3$. The ac conductivity data were used to evaluate the density of states at Fermi level, minimum hopping length and apparent activation energy.

잠수함의 제어판 재밍에 대한 안전운항영역 설정 (A Study on the Safety Operational Envelope of a Submarine in Jamming)

  • Safety operational envelope (SOE) is the area which guarantees the safety of a submarine from the accident such as jamming and flooding. The maximum safe depth is set to prevent the damage to the hull from increasing water pressure with depth. A minimum safety depth is set to prevent a submarine from the exposure above the free surface and collision against surface ship. The prediction method for the SOE in the design phase is needed to operate the submarine safely. In this paper, the modeling and calculation methods of the SOE are introduced. Main ballast tank blowing modeling and propeller force modeling are conducted to simulate the accidents and the recovery process. The SOEs are established based on the crash stop and emergency rising maneuver simulation. From the simulation results, it can be known that the emergency rising maneuver is more effective recovery action than the crash stop.

  • 본 논문은 반도체 변압기용 모듈형 멀티레벨 DC-DC 컨버터의 서브모듈 커패시터 전압 균형 제어 기법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 서브모듈 커패시터 전압은 개별적인 피드백 제어기에 의해 균등하게 제어할 수 있으나 모듈 개수에 따라 연산 시간이 증가한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 전압 균형 제어 기법은 순시적으로 최대/최소 전압 값의 서브모듈만을 선택 및 제어하여 연산 시간을 저감할 수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안하는 방법의 성능 및 타당성에 대한 검증을 진행한다.

Transparent Black Phosphorus Nanosheet Film for Photoelectrochemical Water Oxidation

  • Although monolayer black phosphorus (BP) and few-layer BP nanosheets (NSs) have been extensively studied as promising alternatives to graphene, research has focused primarily on atomically thin-layered BP in an isolated form. In order to realize the practical applications of BP-related devices, a BP film based on continuous networking of few-layer BP NSs should be developed. In this study, a transparent BP film with high quality was fabricated via a vacuum filtration method. An oxygen-free water solvent was used as an exfoliation medium to avoid significant oxidation of the few-layer BP NSs in liquid-phase exfoliation. The exfoliation efficiency from bulk BP to the few-layer BP NSs was estimated at 22%, which is highly efficient for the production of continuous BP film. The characteristics of the high-quality BP film were determined as 98% transparency, minimum oxidation of 18%, structural stability, and an appropriate bandgap of about 1.8 eV as a semiconductor layer. In order to demonstrate the potential of the BP film for photocatalytic activity, we performed photoelectrochemical water oxidation of the transparent BP film. Although its performance should be improved for practical applications, the BP film could function as a photoanode, which offers a new potential semiconductor in water oxidation. We believe that if the BP film is adequately engineered with other catalysts the photocatalytic activity of the BP film will be improved.
