In this paper we study cyclic codes in $Z_m$. i.e., ideals in $Z_mG$, G afinite abelian group and we give a classification of such codes. We also sgtudy the minimum Hamming distance and the generalized Hamming weight of BCH codes over $Z_m$.
Recently the convergence of healthcare technology is used for daily life healthcare monitoring. Cardiac arrhythmia is presented by the state of the heart irregularity. Abnormal heart's electrical signal pathway or heart's tissue disorder could be the cause of cardiac arrhythmia. Fatal arrhythmia could put patient's life at risk. Therefore arrhythmia detection is very important. Previous studies on the detection of arrhythmia in various ECG analysis and classification methods had been carried out. In this paper, an ECG signal processing techniques to detect abnormal ECG based on DTW minimum accumulation distance through the template matching for normalized data and variable threshold method for ECG R-peak detection. Signal processing techniques able to determine the occurrence of normal ECG and abnormal ECG. Abnormal ECG detection algorithm using DTW minimum accumulation distance method is performed using MITBIH database for performance evaluation. Experiment result shows the average percentage accuracy of using the propose method for Rpeak detection is 99.63 % and abnormal detection is 99.60 %.
In this paper, we design and Implement the supervised classification systems for high resolution satellite images. The systems support various interfaces and statistical data of training samples so that we can select the m()st effective training data. In addition, the efficient extension of new classification algorithms and satellite image formats are applied easily through the modularized systems. The classifiers are considered the characteristics of spectral bands from the selected training data. They provide various supervised classification algorithms which include Parallelepiped, Minimum distance, Mahalanobis distance, Maximum likelihood and Fuzzy theory. We used IKONOS images for the input and verified the systems for the classification of high resolution satellite images.

Recently, there has been a growing interest in UAS(Unmanned Aerial System), and it is required to develop techniques to effectively detect water body from the recorded images in order to implement flood monitoring using UAS. This study used a UAS with RGB and NIR+RG bands to achieve images, and applied supervised classification method to evaluate the accuracy of water body detection. Firstly, the result for accuracy in water body image classification by RGB images showed high Kappa coefficients of 0.791 and 0.783 for the artificial neural network and minimum distance method respectively, and the maximum likelihood method showed the lowest, 0.561. Moreover, in the evaluation of accuracy in water body image classification by NIR+RG images, the magalanobis and minimum distance method showed high values of 0.869 and 0.830 respectively, and in the artificial neural network method, it was very low as 0.779. Especially, RGB band revealed errors to classify trees or grasslands of Songsan amusement park as water body, but NIR+RG presented noticeable improvement in this matter. Therefore, it was concluded that images with NIR+RG band, compared those with RGB band, are more effective for detection of water body when the mahalanobis and minimum distance method were applied.

Traffic classification seeks to assign packet flows to an appropriate quality of service(QoS) class based on flow statistics without the need to examine packet payloads. Classification proceeds in two steps. Classification rules are first built by analyzing traffic traces, and then the classification rules are evaluated using test data. In this paper, we use self-organizing map and K-means clustering as unsupervised machine learning methods to identify the inherent classes in traffic traces. Three clusters were discovered, corresponding to transactional, bulk data transfer, and interactive applications. The K-nearest neighbor classifier was found to be highly accurate for the traffic data and significantly better compared to a minimum mean distance classifier.
This paper presents an object oriented approach(OOA) for classification of multi-channel and multi-polarization NASA/JPL POLSAR images. Some test results in Taiwan are also given and analyzed. It is concluded that this approach can utilize as more information of both low- and high-levels involved in all images as possible for image classification and thus provides a better classification accuracy. For instance, the OOA has a better overall classification accuracy(98.27%) than the nearest-neighbor classifier(91.31%) and minimum-distance classifier(80.52%).

In this paper, we deals with automatic modulation classification capable of classifying incident signals without a priori information. The 7 key features which have good properties of sensitive with modulation types and insensitive with SNR variation are selected. The numerical simulations for classifying 9 modulation types using the these features are performed. The numerical simulations of the 4 types of modulation classifiers are performed the investigation of classification accuracy and execution time to implement the fast modulation classifier in software radio. The simulation result indicated that the execution time of DTC was best and SVC and MDC showed good classification performance. The prototype was implemented with DTC type. With the result of field trials, we confirmed the performance in the prototype was agreed with the numerical simulation result of DTC.

Unsupervised spectral angle classification (USAC) is the algorithm that can extract ground object information with the minimum 'Spectral Angle' operation on behalf of 'Spectral Euclidian Distance' in the clustering process. In this study, our algorithm uses the unit vector instead of the spectral distance to compute the mean of cluster in the unsupervised classification. The proposed algorithm (MUSAC) is applied to the Hyperion and ETM+ data and the results are compared with K-Meails and former USAC algorithm (FUSAC). USAC is capable of clearly classifying water and dark forest area and produces more accurate results than K-Means. Atmospheric correction for more accurate results was adapted on the Hyperion data (Hyperion-FLAASH) but the results did not have any effect on the accuracy. Thus we anticipate that the 'Spectral Angle' can be one of the most accurate classifiers of not only multispectral images but also hyperspectral images. Furthermore the cluster unit vector can be an efficient technique for determination of each cluster mean in the USAC.
The information on the land cover along stream corridor is important for stream restoration and maintenance activities. This study aims to review the different classification methods for mapping the status of stream corridors in Seom River using airborne RGB and CIR digital ortho imagery with a ground pixel resolution of 0.2m. The maximum likelihood classification, minimum distance classification, parallelepiped classification, mahalanobis distance classification algorithms were performed with regard to the improvement methods, the skewed data for training classifiers and filtering technique. From these results follows that, in aerial image classification, Maximum likelihood classification gave results the highest classification accuracy and the CIR image showed comparatively high precision.
