This study examines if the uniform-related perceptions influence the formation of professional identity. A self-administered survey was conducted on 346 female nursing officers at military hospitals. The independent variables were the basic characteristics, perception of clothing benefit, perception of nursing uniform, and perception of the officer uniform. For the data analysis, we used paired t-test and hierarchical regression analysis. Using a paired t-test, we found the difference in function and satisfaction between nursing uniforms and officer uniforms. The result of hierarchical regression analysis shows that uniform-related perceptions were statistically significant in predicting professional identity. The nursing uniform explained the major portion of variation of professional identity; subsequently, the improvement of uniforms can enhance professional identity.

This article aims to critically review recent U. S. RMA-centered theories of warfare having prevailed after the 1991-92 Gulf War upon which the current ROKA military transformation project, the Vision 2020, largely based. In order to evaluate validity as a universal warfighing theory of NCW (Network Centric Warfare) and EBO (Effects-Based Operations), this article reviews the intrinsic strength and weakness of the theories as well as results of several recent wars that the U. S. Army conducted based on doctrines derived form such theories, In addition, this article examines the impact of certain military technology or weapon system in some well-known historical wars to draw lessons regarding the relationship between technology(weapon system) and military victory. Historical examples has shown that victories in war were not achieved by new technologies alone in most cases. Rather military victories tended to owe to combination of new technology, original doctrine and well conceived organization. Although the U. S. Armed Forces showed brilliant records of operational successes anchored on the system of PGMs and NCW concepts in Iraq (1991-92; 2003) and Afghanistan (2001-02), it must be pointed out that the operational successes did not bring about political ones in cases of Iraq and Afghanistan. It reminds us of perils of too technologically tilted approach to the conduct of war. In sum, one ought to recognize that superior technology nowadays became a necessary condition of success but is not yet a sufficient condition, the ROKA needs to be abreast with development trends of military technologies and related theoretical concepts, it need not too be in a hurry in adopting cutting edged war-making technologies at the expense of large amount of budget. The essay recommends for the ROKA several basic requirements for coping with conduct of future wars as well as establishing a 'Korean style military thought'; (1) Recognition of importance of technology in conduct of war; (2) Imposition of officer self-study hours in working days; (3) Establishing a lifestyle of military professionalism in the Korean officer corps; (4) Setting up small or large groups of think-tanks that are specialized in army doctrinal formulation.

군인에게 있어 체력은 전투력의 근간으로 투철한 군인정신과 전투기술의 전제조건이라 말할 수 있으며 이는 규칙적인 신체활동과 단련을 통하여 유지 증진 시킬 수 있는 것이다. 강인한 체력을 목적으로 부사관과 학생들에게 체력단련 프로그램을 단계적 학습모형 수업을 통해 체력향상이 되었는지가 학생들에게 체력단련 프로그램을 단계적학습모형 수업을 통해 체력향상이 되었는지가 본연구의 핵심이며 전국의 부사관과 체력단련 수업에 체력단련 프로그램 단계적 학습모형을 활용한 수업방법을 군사체육 담당교수에게 자료를 제공하여 군간부를 준비하는 학생들에게 체력향상에 도움이 될것으로 기대가 된다.

이 연구는 전의경의 부대적응의 원인을 밝히는 데 있어 전의경 부대의 구타근절대책이 스트레스 변인을 통해 부대적응에 이르는지를 구조방정식분석을 사용하여 파악하는 데 그 주된 목적을 두었다. 연구에 사용된 자료는 2011년 울산지방경찰청 소속 전의경 전원에 대한 조사 데이터이다. 구조방정식 분석결과, 스트레스를 통한 매개효과는 p<.001 수준에서 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 표준화 회귀계수를 통해 효과크기를 확인한 결과, 스트레스가 부대적응에 미치는 영향력이 부대의 구타근절대책의 영향력 보다 더 더 컸다. 즉, 부대의 구타근절대책이 전의경의 부대적응에 긍정적인 영향을 주지만, 전의경의 부대적응력은 부대의 구타근절대책 보다 개인이 느끼는 스트레스 요인이 더 커다는 것을 알 수 있다. 이를 통해 경찰당국은 전의경이 겪는 스트레스가 부대적응도를 결정할 수 있는 원인임을 인지하고, 이에 대한 대안을 마련하여야 한다.

In 2004 Daejeon University established a department of military studies by an agreement with the Korea Army. And more than three universities brought up the rear. This means that military studies is authorized as one of university majors by the Higher Education Act. The department enables students not only to graduate with a degree of Military Studies but also to receive officer’s commission in the Korea Army. All students incur seven-year military services by receiving four-year scholarships from the Army. The graduates start out as Second Lieutenants and become eligible for promotion. This article deals with (i) how the major came to be offered; (ii) details of the curricula of some universities; (iii) two perspectives on the curriculum of Military Studies (One is education for a good man, the other for a good warrior); finally (iv) the issues under debate as Military Studies is authorized as a science, and the problems awaiting solution.

Heating and hot water supply energy consumption of medium and multi boiler systems applied to military officer housing are compared with in-situ experiment and TRNSYS dynamic simulation program. In a multiple boiler system, small capacity boilers are connected in parallel to meet the required capacity. For handling partial loads, medium capacity boiler relies on on-off control, while multi boiler adopts PI control. Since multi boiler has higher efficiency and better control strategy, the results show that energy consumption can be reduced significantly with the multi boiler system.

군대에서는 폭력행위를 금지하고 있으며, 군기유지의 책임은 지휘관에게 있다고 정하고 있다. 이러한 책임을 완수하기 위해 최일선에서 근무하는 초급간부들의 인권은 보호받지 못하고 있는 실정이며 군대 폭력으로 이어지는 원인이 되고 있다. 이와같은 폭력 행위를 근절하기 위해서는 초급 군 간부의 인권이 보장될 수 있는 군 조직문화의 개혁이 필요하다.

Korea Ministry of National Defense has directed the state-of-the-art technology Forces troops structures that can respond to security threats in all directions through the Defense Innovation 2.0, which aims to reorganize the personnel and organizations in response to population decline. An implement of effective analysis to maintain combat power is necessary due to possible restrictions on combat power, especially in division of mobilization where reserve manpower is operated frequently. In this study, the normal operations of the reserve officers were investigated, the direct effects of the combat forces of the reserve officers was analyzed using ARENA modeling, and the budget required to operate the innovation and indirect effects of employment of veterans were studied. The result of the simulation proved to be effective in demonstrating unit combat power when the reserve officer was in full-time operations and economic benefits were also significant in terms of efficiency of defense budget management.

우크라이나 전쟁 발발 이후 예비군의 중요성이 다시 강조되고 있지만 육군에서는 소위 중견간부로 불리는 영관급 장교와 부사관 상사, 원사의 부족은 심각하다. 이는 군인사법 등 관련 법령에서 20년 이상 복무한 중견간부는 퇴역을 선택할 수 있기 때문이다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 2023년 4월부터 7월까지 10년동안의 최근 문건을 대상으로 연구하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 중견간부는 현역복무 만료 후 최소 5년 동안 예비군 복무를 해야 한다. 둘째 예비군 진급 제도를 정비하여 횟수와 계급의 제한을 없애야 한다. 기타, 연구의 의의와 함의, 그리고 향후 방향을 논의하였다.
