Optimal Allocation Model for Ballistic Missile Defense System by Simulated Annealing Algorithm (탄도미사일 방어무기체계 배치모형 연구)

  • The set covering(SC) problem has many practical application of modeling not only real world problems in civilian but also in military. In this paper we study optimal allocation model for maximizing utility of consolidating old fashioned and new air defense weapon system like Patriot missile and develop the new computational algorithm for the SC problem by using simulated annealing(SA) algorithm. This study examines three different methods: 1) simulated annealing(SA); 2) accelerated simulated annealing(ASA); and 3) selection by effectiveness degree(SED) with SA. The SED is adopted as an enhanced SA algorithm that the neighboring solutions could be generated only in possible optimal feasible region at the PERTURB function. Furthermore, we perform various experiments for both a reduced and an extended scale sized situations depending on the number of customers(protective objective), service(air defense), facilities(air defense artillery), threat, candidate locations, and azimuth angles of Patriot missile. Our experiment shows that the SED obtains the best results than others.

  • HLA is a general-purpose software architecture for distributed simulation designed to support a wide range of simulation approaches and application. The US DoD's HLA for modeling and simulation can certainly be regarded as the state of the art in distributed simulation. It is a mandatory standard for military simulation. The purpose of this paper is to describe applications of HLA/RTI in multiple domains across the manufacturing systems society. In many and large scale industrial systems, enormous data is generated, and is to be managed in an effective way. It needs a high performance common network library. Furthermore, it must satisfy the real function of system facilities as much as possible. The RTI is an implementation of the interface specification, provided as a set of services. Some applications focusing on the area of a small manufacturing system were demonstrated. The integration could be achieved using the HLA, together with interface modules for each of the subsystems. We have found that HLA/RTI are cable of meeting the functional requirements for a given system environment.

  • We focus on the Real time Fire Scheduling Problem (RFSP), the problem of determining the sequence of targets to be fired at, for the objective of minimizing threatening probability to achieve tactical goals. In this paper, we assume that there are m available weapons to fire at n targets (> m) and the weapons are already allocated to targets. One weapon or multiple weapons can fire at one target and these fire operations should start simultaneously while the finish time of them may be different. We suggest mathematical modeling for RFSP and several heuristic algorithms. Computational experiments are performed on randomly generated test problems and results show that the suggested algorithms outperform the firing method which is generally adopted in the field artillery.

  • 본 논문에서는 시뮬레이션 모델의 상호운용성, 재사용성 및 조립가능성을 높이기 위해 온톨로지 기반의 개념 모델링 프레임워크인 CMMS-K(The Conceptual Models of the Mission Space-Korea)를 제안한다. 군도메인 시나리오 기술에서 행위(action)은 핵심적인 역할을 한다. 그러므로, CMMS-K는 행위를 체계적이고 효과적으로 표현하기 위해 과제 온톨로지를 기반으로 하여 국방 개념을 모델링한다.

  • 본 연구는 모바일 환경과 무선인터넷의 급성장으로 언제 어디서나 통신이 가능하고 사람과 사물이 가지는 위치정보를 획득 / 위치를 기반으로 하는 모바일 서비스를 가능하게 하였다. 이러한 환경의 변화는 위치기반 서비스를 현실화하였으며, 위치를 작전의 핵심요소로 생각하는 군은 이러한 정보시스템 환경 변화에 따라 위치기반서비스를 정보체계에 도입함으로써 더욱 효율적인 위치관리와 서비스가 가능하고 최상의 업무환경과 작전수행환경을 제공하기 위한 체계구현을 위한 연구이다.

  • In this paper, we propose image process modeling as a part of location based surveillance system for unauthorized target recognition and tracking in harbor, airport, military zone. For this, we compress and store background image in lower resolution and perform object extraction and motion tracking by using sobel edge detection and difference picture method between real images and a background image. In addition to, we use Independent Component Analysis Neural Network for moving target recognition. Experiments are performed for object extraction and tracking of moving targets on road by using static camera in 20m height building and it shows the robust results.

  • In the last decades, the increasing interest in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) for military, surveillance, and rescue applications made necessary the development of flight control theory and body structure more and more efficient and fast. In this paper, we describe the design and performance of a prototype hexarotor UAV platform featuring an inertial measurement unit(IMU) based autonomous-flying for use in bluetooth communication environments. The proposed system comprises the construction of the test hexarotor platform, the implementation of an IMU, dynamic modeling and simulation in the hexarotor helicopter. Furthermore, the hexarotor helicopter with implemented IMU is connected with a micro controller unit(ARM-cortex) board. The P-PD control algorithm was used to control the hexarotor. We used the Matlab software to help us to tune the P-PD control parameters for quick response and minimizing the fluctuation. The control simulation and experiment on the real system are implemented in the test platform, evaluated and compared against each other.

  • 실시간으로 급변하는 전장상황에서는 군수물자의 보급이 절대적으로 중요하다. 최근에는 군수 물자를 사람이 아닌 다수의 에이전트를 이용하여 물류 수송을 관리하려는 다양한 시도가 이뤄지고 있다. 지능형에이전트를 이용한 추론 및 의사결정을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델링에 대해선 많은 연구가 이뤄져 왔으나, 전장에서의 특수성을 고려한 모델이 아니므로 그대로 적용하기에는 다소 무리가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 전장상황에 특화된 BDI를 통해 다중 에이전트 환경에서 적용 가능한 군수 물자 수송 모델링 방법에 대해 알아본다.

An Economic Theory Study for Mutivariate Impacts of Fisheries Subsidies on Fishery Resources (수산자원에 대한 수산보조금의 다면적 영향에 관한 경제이론적 고찰)

  • This study analyzed the multivariate impacts of subsidies on the sustainability of fish stock using a dynamic bioeconomic modeling and fisheries resources economic approaches for understanding impacts of a subsidy on the sustainability of a fish stock. According to the results of analysis, the conclusion of former studies is true only there are imperfect control of fishing effort and enforcement under management rerime and under open access. However, if there are perfect control of effort and enforcement, the subsidies do not give any negative impacts on the sustainability of fish stock. Further, if even so-called bad subsidy is also provided necessarily in response to the condition of fishing industry and the characteristic of fishermen, it can give positive impacts on fishing income by which fishermen can improve their fishing condition.

  • The ability to efficiently and robustly recover accurate 3D terrain models from sets of stereoscopic images is important to many civilian and military applications. To develop an effective and practical terrain modeling system. We propose the methods which detect unreliable elevations in digital elevation maps (DEMs). and fuse several DEMs from multiple sources into an accurate and reliable result. This paper focuses on two key factors for generating robust 3D terrain models. the ability to detect unreliable elevation estimates. and to fuse the reliable elevations into a single optimal terrain model. We apply the correlation score methodology to reconstruct accurate DEM for multi-image and show the method is more effective than the conventional averaging method. The photo-realistic simulator is used for generating four simulated images from ground truth DEM and orthoimage.
